I scheduled my daughter for a CT scan of the soft tissue of the neck with contrast. I was unable to use her Care Credit digital card, and the Radiology Tech was leaving. I rescheduled her appointment for two days later and called the day of to pay by credit card. I got a call at close to 3 (for a 4 pm appointment) to reschedule due to a "family emergency." No other location has contrast, and I would need to wait until Monday afternoon. Knowingly having one tech in a multi-location for diagnostic imaging is not okay. Now I'm unable to go anywhere else and pay out of pocket because my money is tied up. THIS SCAN IS AN EMERGENCY TO MY FAMILY!!!! STOP CUTTING COST AND STAFF LOCATIONS PROPERLY!!!! Do not use this company--they lied to me twice. I was referred for a lumbar MRI and asked if it could include my hip (just below). They said I'd need a separate prescription but to check with the technician. At the appointment, I told the tech I'd cancel if a new Rx was required, as I didn't need just lumbar imaging. He consulted the manager and returned saying they could include the hip. But the results omitted it. I complained; they said I'd need a new Rx for the hip but would image it free. I scheduled a doctor's visit for the Rx (costing me extra), then called to book with them. They retracted the free offer, claiming the tech, manager, and spokesperson weren't authorized, so it was my fault for believing them. This pattern of unqualified promises, harmful advice, and blaming patients screams red flags. Caveat emptor--buyer beware. Reporting to the Georgia Medical Board, BBB, and social media. read more

My suggestion to anyone who's never had an MRI before is to definitely make sure you're perfectly comfortable before laying down in the MRI machine; you can't move at all once you're in the machine. I had a shoulder MRI at the Gainesville location. Everything from start to finish was difficult. Terrible communication from trying to make the apt to trying to get the results. I paid to have their doctor read the imaging results. His name is Dr. Michael Herron. He said that I had a few minor tears and arthritis, but nothing major that needed attention or surgery. I suffered for 5 months with extreme pain. I finally went to another orthopedic doctor. He looked at the "same" MRI and was shocked at what Dr. Herron had told me. Not only did I have a major rotator cuff tear, but I also have a bicep tear and a pectoral tear. All three tears require surgery. The MRI Specialists doctor was a waste of my time and money. The front desk and the technician were amazing. I was told to go to the back desk and wait for my cd to be made. The girl sitting at the back desk said they were to busy to make a cd. I declined getting it mail 3 times and stated I was happy to wait. The girl refused and when I sat down to wait I was told "a cd will not be made today". My test was on 10/13/23. I emailed the contact me on the website on 10/20/23 to ask about the cd. I still have not gotten a response. Then called on 10/27/23 and was told a cd was never made and the receptionist said she would personally make sure it was made mailed due to my upcoming surgery appointment. On 11/1/23 I called to see if I could have the tracking information. I was told it the was NOT made or mailed. I guess I now have to get a new CT done somewhere else. I was skeptical at first and I was going to walk out if I felt that the facility was sketchy but it was a nice facility!, and I felt comfortable getting some "personal" x-ray/ultrasound done. My tech was super nice, Audrey, and she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I haven't experienced the billing portion yet but over all it was a nice experience/facility. read more

I went a couple days ago for the first time & i must say i felt very welcomed by the lovely receptionist ivis. She answered all my questions in a very polite manner also took care of my needs in whatever i needed help with. She impressed me by speaking spanish to the clients who came in & i think it's very useful to having that ability to speak both languages. Overall an amazing experience being there. This is my first 1 star yelp review. I would avoid this place at all cost. The staff is extremely unprofessional . I was accompanying a friend for her first ultrasound. We waited for 2 hours past our appointment time. During this time , no one told her she had to be constantly drinking water and that she couldn't use the restroom. Even if she had been drinking water consistently, she wouldn't have been able to hold a full bladder for 2 hours ! The staff then told us that we had to wait even longer for her to drink more water...since we technically missed our appointment time. She then had the nerve to mention that she had so many other patients to see. How did we miss our appointment time if y'all are the ones who are running behind schedule ? Worst experience and a complete waste of time. Staff needs to be more trained to give proper instructions ahead of time. We left without even getting an ultrasound. read more

Best customer care and service I've received from a medical related visit in years! The staff were efficient, kind, and very responsive. The quality of care was outstanding. The waiting time and amount of time spent receiving service was much better than when I visit my regular doctor. Every single staff memeber I interacted with was professional and courteous. I can't say how appreciative I was given the amount if pain I was in with their "bedside manner". There was not a bad apple, sour temper, or rude staffer in the place. The cash price was also better than any other place in the ATL metro area. Finally, hands down I recommend "Carlos the Crazy Puerto Rican" for best MRI Tech ever and want to add that the Radiologist's interpretation of my scan was clear, concise and delivered promptly. I went for MRI Brain on Saturday,10/22/22, at their "Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross" location. My appointment was at 1 PM. The front desk girls were very cooperative. I was having "worst headache of my life, for the last 4 days. During these days, I was able to sleep only for few hours. I was feeling very sick. After completing the paper work, I sat down and was waited for my turn. When my turn came a Guy, Named CRIS (MRI Technician), came and asked me to come inside. I went inside. The Guy led me the locker room then to MRI room, but while leading me there, he was talking too much, unnecessary and useless talks and was saying that he will heal me by his talks which works on molecular level (Which I don't understand at all), and said he is going to cure me completely (which he can't). He repeatedly said feel good feel good and you will be alright. When he took a breath, I asked him very politely, that if this is true then no need for MRI and doctor's consultations, one should only think that He or She, is feeling good and he or she will be cured. No need for this costly MRI, CT scan etc. On this He became little upset but didn't reply to me. .... In MRI room he showed MRI machine and told me that "this machine will do MRI and also it is going to heal you". He said it has extra healing power. I heard this for the first time that MRI machine heals too!!!! . (. I didn't tell him that 'I am a Medical Doctor' back from India. I just kept quiet). He placed me inside the MRI machine (all this time he was saying something something) and said it will take 12 minutes only. I didn't say anything. He started the machine and left the room (I know that there is a window for them to see). Machine kept on working some time starts some time stopping, vibrating, making alarms et. after about 10-15 minutes machine stopped and it was making alarms again and again. I was left inside the machine for about 45-50 minutes, and during this time I called him many times but no response. After about 45-50 mnts. the door opened and he entered and rolled me out of the machine. He asked me are you feeling better now? I didn't say anything, but asked his name and he said "Chris". Then I asked him, very politely, that is this the procedure or policy that you leave the patient inside machine for 45-50 mints? And that was the time when he became very furious and started shouting on me in full volume, after wearing my shoes, I told him that I am a Medical Doctor, and know what MRI is and what is psychological healing and also what is "Befooling others" too, and then he started shouting and shouting (I don't remember the words) and became so aggressive that I held my phone tightly for 911 call. Here the point to be noted that all this behavior was with a sick patient who came for MRI Brain.. I managed to walk slowly to the front desk. Told the front desk girls the whole event. They were shocked, and gave me manager's number to talk. I called manager but got no response at that time. This is the state of affairs at MRI Imaging Specialist,6760 Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA. Their technician does MRI and tries to treat the patient on molecular level, and if patient doesn't accept his nonsense command then he shout and insults the patient. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. My doctor order an MRI for me and when the receptionist called to schedule my appointment she was very impatient with my questions and frankly just rude. On the day of my appointment they asked me to get there at 5:30pm. I showed up on time and as I was literally opening my car door to walk in, I get a call from the same receptionist telling me that they are cancelling my appointment! Absolutely unacceptable. I have never experienced such poor patient service in my life, how can you be a doctors office and cancel a patients appointment at the exact time it is suppose to be. Very frustrated. read more

My son had an 8:00 am appointment at the Gainesville location today. We sat there for ten minutes and the woman at the front desk said the technician was running late and it would be about 45 more minutes until she arrived. We decided to wait because my son was in pain and we wanted to get this test done. An hour and 15 minutes went by and we asked how much longer it would be. She stepped away from her desk and came back to tell us that there was an emergency at their other location and she wasn't coming because she had to go there. So the lies started with she is running late for personal reasons to now it being an mri "emergency" so which lie is it? Anyone who has ever had an mri knows this is not how mri facilities work. I asked for a manager to call me and when they did, once again more lies. DO NOT go to this place of business because they obviously don't care about your pain or your time. Worst place to go for MRI. Don't get me wrong. Front desk ladies were super nice and the MRI technicians are super nice. The only part is their billing system that is worst. They were making sure that my insurance covers all charges. Me and my doctor who referred me confirmed 5times and they assure that everything covered which they checked with my insurance company. Now they are calling me that I owe $500.00 and must pay up front without sending me the bill in the mail nor email. I don't have problem making payment but they way handle was not professional! I was told the radiologist was on vacation, then her internet was down. Had I known all these delays, I would have gladly gone elsewhere. Do not go here if you want immediate results. While it's fresh on my mind. Lost my insurance so was referred to this place by my PCP given lower costs. Staff did not take my temperature, 3 members of their staff were not wearing masks. Outdated and I mean outdated equipment for the mammogram. They were cited numerous times by the FDA and I had called the manager about this the day before I went to my appointment. He reassured me that everything was state of the art and corrections had been made. Uh, no. If the staff isn't even respectful enough to wear masks in a MEDICAL FACILITY, what does that tell you about their quality of care. If you don't have anything else to do with your time and you don't need your test results right away...go for it. I took my brother for an MRI and had to make an appointment. Got there early and immediately asked for payment but did not get seen for almost 3 hours.......no explanation regarding the delay. The manager apologized but no improvement for the experience. After receiving a copy of the test and being assured that the results would be sent to the doctor within 24 hours it was a week later. I called and learned that it was sent to the wrong doctor....OMG! a nightmare......Like I said earlier....If you don't have anything else to do with your time and you don't need your test results right away...go for it..... read more

I visited MRI Imaging Specialist today thanks to a referral from my chiropractor. I needed to get an MRI to push my HMO into referring me to a back specialist. I've been trying to get my HMO to do an MRI for years, but all their doctors do is dance me around on muscle relaxants, which do nothing to relieve my severe and recurring sciatic pain. My chiropractor has been able to help some with the pain, but his x-rays show that there are very serious problems with my back that require attention from a back specialist. He suggested that I get an MRI at my own expense in order to force my HMO into referring me to a back specialist, and told me that MRI imaging Specialist would do the job for around $300, with a radiologist's analysis included. It seemed hard to believe - when I'd checked out paying for my own MRI before, the prices I was quoted were in the $1500 - $2000 range. I went to MRI Imaging Specialist with some misgivings. I'd read the reviews in Yelp and wasn't impressed. The pre-printed referral form they make available to physicians and chiropractors is full of misspellings. Even the word "Referral" in the title of the form is misspelled as "Referal". But the price was attractive even if meant going to a shabby and disorganized clinic. What I found was quite different - a nicely decorated office with comfortable waiting areas, receptive and helpful staff members, and a technician who explained the process completely. The price they charged was $288 for a lumbar MRI, including one copy of the MRI disk and the radiologist's analysis. I ordered an extra copy of the disk for $30. I did wait 65 minutes for my exam, but this seemed reasonable to me given the price. Clearly, the way that they are able to afford doing MRI's at this price is to do a volume business, and that means stacking up the patients to keep the available machines running all day. I'd rather wait an hour and pay $288 than be served in 15 minutes at a cost of $1500. I was very pleased with the service I received. read more

My doctor recommended me to go here after I had a ac joint injury to get x rays and Not realizing that this might be worst place to to do it at. I came in on Friday at the time I was told to go, only to be told that the x Ray person was sick and left home early by the front desk lady. Obviously fishy but since it was my first time I thought whatever. Afterwards the front lady told me that I should come in on Monday 8am-1pm which I did today and arrived st 1145. The same lady was working and told me I now need to make an appointment. Obviously I ripped her a fat one and she basically told a bold faced lie! She claimed that the manager had changed policies and now must take appointments for x rays. Over the weekend the policy changes!? Talk about actual bs. I am a Family Practitioner and my co-payment with my insurance for me to have an US would have cost me $2000 out of pocket. This facilities cost for my US was below the market value and less than $150 for the different areas I had to scan, this is beyond amazing. I send all of my patient's here with and without insurance. There was a hiccup with my insurance, which we were able to fix quickly, and their out-of-pocket costs are markedly less than other locations if you choose not to use your insurance. Do NOT go to MRI Imaging Specialists. They are unprofessional, dishonest, use improper ear protection, make you wait a LONG time (I waited an hour to be seen), and you leave in worse condition than arrival! I was already uncomfortable when I arrived in the MRI room because the man kept flirting with me and asking me if I was an actress. He rolled my ear plugs in his bare hands and asked me to put them in my ears (unsanitary). Then he continued to talk to me (about the actress again) so I had to keep loosening them. I was so uncomfortable at this point. Next, he told me to be completely still. Other than that, I had NO instructions and off I went into a 45 min MRI! It was so loud that I continued to scream, "It's too loud!", but nobody came to help me. It sounded like jack hammers and jet engines. After about 20 minutes of ear crippling noise, I was then pushed further in the machine for the 2nd part of the MRI, so I yelled, "I need a break, I need a break!" NOBODY came to help me. This is absolutely maddening! I felt claustrophobic, but no one could rescue me and stop the machine or noise. When it was over, I told the man it was the worst experience of my life. For all I know, he went on lunch break during my MRI. It literally felt like a torture chamber. Where was the help?? My ears were in so much pain and they are still not back to normal. The ENT referred me to a hearing specialist. I've had ringing, swollen, ultra-sensitive ears after this MRI and I'm wanting to prevent this from happening to anyone else. This facility may charge less, but you will pay with a lifetime of ear pain and claustrophobia! They need to invest in MRI safe headphones AND they need to also have a way for people to get help during the MRI. There was no button to push, nobody watching or listening to see if I was struggling. My last MRI, at Gwinnett Medical Center Imaging, was done so professionally. They gave me headphones with soft music and a stop button. They checked on me and made sure I was warm and comfortable. I was expecting the same level of professionalism, but this office staff couldn't meet those standards of excellence without a complete overhaul. The office staff at MRI Imaging are unprofessional. I had an appointment, to go over my concerns, scheduled with Iris, the office manager and when I arrived they didn't tell me she wasn't there. Instead, they let me wait 15 minutes and then called me back. They didn't want to tell me in front of the patients that Iris was not there for my appointment. They said my appointment was the day before. I reminded them I called the week before to change it to this date and they said I did not call. What?! I have tried a number of times to meet with the owner, Michael; however, he lives in FL and will not respond, so I have no other way to take care of this. By the way, the one other review listed on yelp was done by him (so that is obviously not an unbiased view). Yelp's content guidelines state, "You shouldn't write reviews of your own business". Just an all around poor experience that has been a complete waste of time... I brought my son here for an MRI and was surprised they didn't prep him for what would happen since this was his first MRI. They left him on the table waiting on the tech for about 25 minutes before starting the MRI. I was glad I told my son that it would be loud at times and he had to lay very still the whole time.
