I would normally give this business a five star rating. But they've made some changes up front that have me a bit uneasy. The young lady that sits at the receptionist desk does not come off very friendly over the phone nor in person. I took two vehicles to their shop in one month. I was promised a call back regarding repair costs. Those call backs never happened. I had to initiate the call. Only then was I told that my vehicles would have to stay overnight. And that was because no mechanic had looked at my vehicle(s). I understand things happen in a shop. But don't tell a customer something you can't deliver. Overall they do fine mechanical work. I've only had to take a vehicle back once or twice for warranty work. The owner Matt is a nice gentleman to talk with also. And their location is very accessible to local municipalities. read more

Not sure how this place could get anything but 5 stars. Matt and the entire Team at Mr. T's have been absolutely awesome. My UA student broke down on her way to the airport...20 minutes before closing, on a Friday. The team at Mr. T's diagnosed the issue, parts were needed, and it would be Monday before they could fix it. They stayed with my daughter and her friends until arrangements back to Tuscaloosa arrived. On Monday, Matt got the care repaired and ready for pick up. So, my car shuts down on the freeway. Hemi motor has a failsafe, so no oil no run. Well this the third time in 2 weeks , so must be oil leak....I know, shouldn't check after first time. Anywho. I have it towed to Mr t shop, they ask what's wrong, I say it has NO OIL it may have a leak....later they call, say I will need another motor, $4000 and some change. I don't have it I'm coming to pick it up. I get there and I'm told it won't start, the motor is gone, we TEST DROVE IT. I asked If they put oil in it, and was told they do not add oil to cars. So now I have a locked motor. If a customer says no oil. Should the mechanic still drive it? read more
