We had dinner at the new Mr Tequila in Estero, Fla tonight. It's only been open 4 weeks. Our waitress was very good offering suggestions and being ever present. I had the Burrito Grande, a burrito with shredded chicken, rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and verde sauce. My wife had the combination chicken quesadilla and veggie enchilada meal served with rice and beans. Both dishes were generous portions and quite flavorful. Ate here tonight as had dinner before with good experience at their Naples locations. The enchilada Yolanda with beef was soft, watery and tasteless. I told waitress which agreed the Naples location has better food and the beef in Estero is watery. She told manager. I told her we were not looking for anything but to explain to manager our opinion. Poor waitress came back and said he took off 20%. I left that and more for her but would have felt better served if Manager spoke to us Was not very busy. He looked in other direction as we left. The waitress was good, the decor very dark but clean. Food terrible. We will go back to the Naples locations. read more

Was in Estero for a disc golf tournament and was staying at the hotel just behind this location. I get there just and hour before close with the plan to have a drink and order food to go. Maria the bartender was very welcoming and took great care of me in the process of taking care of her closing duties. I got a Texas gold marg while I waited for my Togo order. It was just want I needed. The food!! I got the Burrito Grande with chicken. Let me tell you..... I got back to my room after two gold margaritas, open the bag and I have chips, salsa, and a massive burrito. Do not pass this up!!! I wish I would have ordered two!!! Wholly MOLEY! Their prices have gone up so high, we cannot afford to eat there anymore. We each had a Fajita plate and a soft drink that cost $68! We could have shared a Porterhouse steak, salad and sides, with bread AND an appetizer, plus tip, for that at Longhorn Steakhouse. Carlos was the absolute best server we have EVER had. He made it seem like we were the only table in the entire restaurant. Checking in on us multiple times throughout our dinner and bringing us multiple dips to try to compliment our meal. He was just the absolute sweetest and an asset to this location! This is a great Mexican restaurant. I know it's a chain, but they've done a great job updating it from being an Applebee's. They've also got the nicest staff and they're super attentive. In addition, the food is great. We got a pitcher of strawberry margarita, chips and salsa (free!), two number 1 combinations, and al a carte enchiladas and tacos. Everything was great, especially the tacos. I love a mexican restaurant that uses cojita cheese instead of American or cheddar. Also their enchilada sauce is more Smokey than sweet which I appreciate. We'll definitely be back! read more

Nice atmosphere, good service , good food....Is it as good as the Mexican food we had back in Arizona? Not really but it was still good and my mother in law got drunk on one Margarita and started talking to total strangers so that was fun....Good thing we drove...and she loves Mariachis so she felt compelled to sing to the music , off tune and we were just happy she enjoyed herself so it's a nice memory..Then the server offered her another margarita and we had to put the brakes on .Last time she had two drinks it was at a Chinese restaurant and she put the drink umbrellas in her hair and sang a song from the 50s to the whole place...Lots of fun.... read more

Great new Mexican restaurant in the area (in the old Applebee's on Corkscrew). Sat on the patio last night, which was wonderful, they even have a tv outside. Great service. Good chips and salsa. Really great New Mexican restaurant in the area. Came for lunch and started with delicious skinny spicy margaritas. Nice big, full bar and clean atmosphere. I ordered the Cochinita Pibil which was excellent! My mom and sister got the Bistec Mr Tequila which was cooked perfectly and lots of food for the price. Located right across from Springhill suites where I stayed so I figured I would give this place a try. I ordered take out and got the chicken fajita and crispy beef tacos along with queso. The portions are pretty large which was nice to see. Food was ready for pick up within 15 minutes so I cannot complain there. Hard tacos were little soggy but the rest was perfect! read more

We frequent this restaurant and we have never had bad service or bad food. The staff is always friendly. Today we went to grab a warm meal after Hurricane Ian. We spoke to Armando at the bar. We told him we had suffered damage from the hurricane and we were so excited to have a warm meal since we don't have power or water. A gentleman purchased our first round of drinks and told us they were on him . Armando offered to assist us if we needed any help. He is such an upstanding gentleman and showed us there is good in the world. Great job! read more

Heard great things about this place and was anxious to go. The food was delicious (although a little pricey). The fajitas and tacos were plentiful. Service was excellent. My only warning is to not order a margarita without asking the price. We ordered a pitcher of skinny margaritas and were shocked at the $50 price. The manager was considerate of our complaint but check the price before ordering. Otherwise, I recommend Mr. tequila. read more

Food was standard Mexican fare but I did encounter a bone or a rock in my taco salad which I almost cracked a tooth on. That's never fun.

Located this place because it was across the street from my hotel. I always read reviews before I try a new place, however I always walk in with an open mind. Started with a gold pitcher of margarita with mango flavor. That was great then we got a sampler as an appetizer it came with cheese quesadillas, cheese nachos, chicken wings and I think it was chicken flauntas. Every thing on the sampler was phenomenal as well. And lastly we have mr tequilas fajitas for 2. What a great ending it was out of this world there was shrimp, pulled pork, steak and chorizo with sautéed onions, peppers and tomatoes. And all the fixings on the side lettuce, tomato, guacamole and sour cream. I would definitely recommend this place the portions are great and the flavor of the food was phenomenal. The one star that's missing was not from the food it was the service. The waitress was very nice but she never came back after she dropped off the drinks until she brought the appetizer then the entrees then the check there was no check back anywhere in between. read more
