The main reason i loved this place is location and coffee beans the used "Compass Coffee" the best i have ever tasted. The positives: Amazingly wonderful staff, very good soy lattes after frequenting the place, they see me, make my coffee and have it waiting for me while I'm in line placing an order. Most food items (especially hot ones). The negatives: OWNERS STOP CHANGING YOUR SOY MILK BRAND, ITS ANNOYING. I say owners because I learned this is a franchise. In the 5 weeks I was in Sydney getting my soy latte from this specific location, they changed the soy milk brand 3 times (yellow/orange box was the best) so please be contestant and stop this cheap practice where you change brands based on which is cheaper. Also, cookies in the jar, it seems that they stay there for days, I notice because some didn't even change position in the jar. I got a couple in different occasions and they were dry as a cardboard. Yuck.... provide fresh products. When I'm back to whetherill park, I'm definitely coming back to this location.

Loved loved loved this place!…read more Canley Vale is such a great place to enjoy fantastic food in funky restaurants out in the burbs. Sitney is one of the newest and I think one of its best. Food, service and ambience were all excellent! My top picks were the soft shell crab papaya salad, roasted duck curry and the chicken skewers. I know chicken skewers are nothing to normally rave about but these were the best I have ever had. Come and try this place I promise you won't regret it! Did I mention...... I loved loved loved this place.. Happy dance :)

The service is friendly and mostly efficient, which is always pleasing! Now onto the food. Oh yes oh yes oh yes. Silence was all you heard because everyone was busy eating. The occasional moan and "this is good" is how I'd describe the atmosphere. They could do no wrong. Deep fried papaya salad - I've had a lot of thai food before (in Thailand too) and I have never come across such dish. It was a true stroke of genius because this was just unbelievable. So incredible how the flavours worked and how crispy the papaya was. 10 stars out of 5!! The ox tongue was so tender and perfectly cooked - this is an absolute must. The crispy barramundi with mango salad was excellent too - fish was perfectly cooked, presentation was on par and the salad was well dressed. Let me hear you say pad thai! Cause this place serves some of the best you'll eat. The noodles were extremely well fried and the taste was of course amazing. The duck curry!!! There was pineapple and lychees in it with a strong coconut flavour. A perfect thai curry and the duck was well cooked too. There's a perfect balance of spices in the lao sausages as well! Only dishes that was not of the high standard as the others was the pineapple fried rice - it was a tiny bit soggy and not as good as some I've had. The fried ice cream also wasn't good - it did not have that crispy outside and was way too oily. Either way, I'm definitely coming back again! Love, love and love!

I wasn't complaining, but I was actually recuperating from all my past festive activities in the city. I didn't know what to expect because it seems my family isn't very adventurous when it comes to eating out. MATCHA BINGSU- shaved matcha ice with mochi, cornflakes, almond flakes, matcha kit-kats, pocky sticks, and matcha cream This was my favorite dish of the night. I really love the flavor of the matcha with all the different textures. I only wish the matcha was stronger because all the toppings added some sort of sweetness and the matcha didn't necessarily have to be that sweet as well. I really liked the crunchiness the toppings added to the shaved ice especially the cornflakes and the almonds. The flavor combo really worked well together and the textures were on point. WATERMELON & STRAWBERRY BINGSU- shaved watermelon ice with almond dacquoise, pistachio, strawberry, watermelon, and rose cream This dish was disappointing because it was fruity, but not spectacular. It was a very basic shave ice. The flavor combos didn't work as well together as the first bingsu that we ordered. The rose cream was very floral, but it didn't meld well with the fruity flavors. The pistachios were an odd addition because it added texture, but it came out a bit bitter when eaten with the watermelon and strawberry flavors. SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI This dish was okay. The calamari was soft and should've had a crispy skin. Flavor was okay when the lemon was squeezed on it and when dipped into the tartar sauce it added a deeper layer of creamy tartness. Overall, it was an okay savory dish. The desserts here are very instagram worthy, but so far flavor was okay. I would have to come back and try other things on their menu.

But after looking at my photos I realized everything I've ordered here has been quite deelish! So why haven't I been an avid fan? Can't explain why but it may have something to do with the lack of soul/uniqueness/direction of ambience but truth be told it's a decent one stop shop for typical cafe food, sugar fix or just a decent & comfortable place for a hot drink catch up. It's got an outdoor seating are, comfortable cafe lounges & the dessert menu is extensive! The grilled salmon is yummy, I love fried ice cream so that's a plus & the affogato is pretty outstanding too! V lounge gets my vote!!

Located in the most unlikely of locations this stand alone restaurant does pretty well even with Holy Basil being a mere 3 min drive away. Lines a plenty during peak food times so make sure to book. FOOD I've been meaning to check out this place for awhile and see how it stacks up against Holy Basil. The similarities are endless from the modern wooden decor to their filo pastry deep fried ice-cream which I unfortunately was too tired to stick around to try. I know me? what? too tired for food? noway!! Trying to stay clear of the normal Thai dishes I order, dinner consisted of - Crying Tiger/Grilled Beef ($9.90 -NAY (definitely left me crying as it didn't taste like beef!) - Chicken Choo-Chee Curry ($11.90) - YAY - Pork Satay Noodle ($11.90) - HMMMM... - Sticky Rice ($3) - YAY - Green Milk Tea ($4) - YAY OVERALL The atmosphere is just like any other modern Thai restaurant (think Home, Chat Thai, Red Spoon) so my rating is very heavily weighted towards food. Unfortunately with a lot of these Thai restaurants it comes down to food selection. Select the right meals and you could have a 4/5 star experience. Select the wrong ones and your back to a 3 or worse case 2. Trying to be different and adventurous in this instance has caused a lower rating. I would recommend this as a place to try though. I will however be back. Pandan Fried Ice-cream wait for me!
