i recently moved within Regina; I had Galaxy movers move some things on July 26th and again on July…read more29th. The first day went very well, unfortunately the second day did not go well. Galaxy Movers did serious damage to my $2,500 studio bed. They called me into the spare room to show me the damage, all the while insisting that the tape they used on my unit was the best, and that they had never had a problem with it before and implied that my piece of furniture could not be high quality. Ironically the tape they used on my studio bed told the tale - it stripped the finish right off an expensive Studio bed. I did not find Daman's reaction very professional. I was further disappointed a couple of days ago, when I emailed Daman with an update, telling them I was awaiting an estimate from Rick's Cabinets to restore the studio bed - there was no response to my email. The Manager at Galaxy Movers chose to ignore my email. I sincerely hope that they, Galaxy movers ~ will step up to the plate, and take resonsibility for their actions. My husband received a phone call from Gref's delivery to arrange a pool table delivery at our…read morehouse, he asked them to please carry it to our basement which is only one level down (my husband broke his back 15yrs ago). Upon arrival the "passenger" came to our front door and politely asked me to show him where I'd like the pool table, I showed him, he said Ok. The next minute the "driver" knocked on my door and told me they are taking the pool table back!!!! I mean really? Wow, I were completely stunned by the way I have just been treated! I immediately walked outside to the "passenger" to ask what is going on as he was closing the rolling door on the back of the truck. After calling my husband he told me to let them just put it in the garage. I will contact Best Buy Canada and let them know that this is the service we received! I am appalled by the way the driver spoke to me!!!! January 24th 2017.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I got them to help pack and move me. Some boxes were…read moreoverflowing with paper while others had breakable items stacked with only a bit of paper on the top, not individually wrapped. Some boxes were only packed half way with crumpled paper filling the other half. They wouldn't label the boxes even after I asked them several times! Transporting and unloading was where the real nightmare occurred. They had to travel on gravel roads part way and the driver "wasn't slowing down for nothing ". Furniture had a huge layer of dust covering it. Then they left kitchen and bathroom items in the garage and garage items in the house. They dumped the boxes in such an unorganized fashion that they left no room for other items or to even maneuver around them. Furniture was even left on its side! I went back to my old place to clean and found a whole bag of their packing paper along with a couple of their unused boxes along with a whole box of their garbage left out on the lawn! I am disabled so the mess they left at my old place and made at the new place will be very difficult for me to navigate moving forward. Absolutely a terrible experience, I do NOT recommend this company!

Later when I called to find out when I was going to receive my estimate I received an email a very short time after. They informed me that they would not be doing my move because I live "in an unsafe location". I live in North Central in a home that I own and I am a 69 year old widow. Yes there is crime in my neighborhood but I would have thought that three strapping movers would not be afraid in broad daylight. Yes there is crime but everything that is occurred in my neighborhood has happened at night not in the daytime. I have lived in four provinces in multiple communities and I have never had movers who were such scaredy cats. If they were worried about stuff getting taken off the truck, I would have been a happy to sit on a chair by the truck which they loaded.
