Quickly: Slooow service. Cheesy decor. Food is hit or miss, but plentiful.
This was my 5th restaurant in Nijmegen.
I had the Delphi Schotel, which came with a nominal salad (some lettuce and one olive), rice mixed with tomato sauce, and a huge pile of meat: two thin lamb t-bones, a skewer of chicken, and a mess of giros - fried meat and onion.
The giros and lamb were delicious. The chicken was dry and bland. The rice was adequate. The salad was good, but only lasted 6 bites.
The service was slooow. It was Friday night, but at the end of the shift. It looked like there were 4 or 5 waiters, but none were ever in the dining area! And even when they appeared, I had to flag them down to order. The staff was polite, although they decided not to suffer through my fragmentary Dutch and switched immediately to English.
I certainly won't take a date here, but if I will be back when I want a hefty dose of protein after my workouts. read more
