Matt B. and I decided to take our toddler to a pumpkin patch this year, mostly for the photo ops,…read moreand we were pleased to learn there was one at the Farmers Market, a short drive from our house. We went the Sunday afternoon before Halloween, and predictably, the Farmers Market was packed (the parking lot was full, so we had to park at the Grove, which is its own thing). We figured this might be the case but were willing to deal with the crowd because surely, the pumpkin patch at the Farmers Market must be fun and festive, right? Apparently, not at all. I don't know if this was a pandemic downgrade, as this Mr. Jack O'Lantern's has pretty positive Yelp reviews, but what we found was a sad tent pitched over asphalt, half-heartedly strewn with hay and a few odd pallets of pumpkins. There were, by my estimation, about the same number of pumpkins you might find at your average Trader Joe's. There were a couple of places where you could place your child for a photo, but they weren't particularly good. One of them just had a plasticky backdrop with the Mr. Jack O'Lantern logo printed all over it. This was such a disappointment that despite caring very little about pumpkin patches until that morning, I became mildly obsessed with the idea of taking him to a good one, and built my following weekend around a field trip to Shawn's Pumpkin Patch in Palms (farther away, but worth the effort). I like the Farmers Market and I'm sure my kid will spend plenty of time there throughout his childhood, but never again for the pumpkin patch.

It's nice to see a pumpkin patch right off Highland Ave! I read about it and wanted to check it out…read moresince this season it's harder to find activities to do. The place is very small, cute with a few photo opportunities, prices are high and the parking is a nightmare! They even have staff helping in the parking lot, but that's mission impossible. If you have a kid, it could be cute. If you just want to shop for a pumpkin, skip it. Also if you expect a big area with lots of activities, keep in mind, this is a small affaire!

During the winter holidays, they tend to sell christmas trees here. During the Halloween season, you can find this place filled with pumpkins and 4 different large bounce houses. They also have a petting zoo. You can purchase food for the animals if you wanted the experience of feeding them. They have a wide variety of pumpkins ranging from ones that fit in the palm of your hand to ones you can barely pick up. We mainly come here for the bounce houses. I believe they are the same ones every year. Two are typical bounce houses for jumping. Another is a gigantic slide. And the last one is an obstacle course with a slide at the end. Admission into this area is $20 per kid and they let an adult (or two?) accompany them for free. There is some noticeable wear and tear but it shouldn't pose an injury risk. Note for the big slide: be careful because you'll slide down pretty quickly! I got a solid friction burn on my elbow going down this slide!

It's kind of hidden so you won't see it at first glance. It had large slides and a large bounce house. A great variety of pumpkin selection also. I would definitely recommend this place.. it's not usually packed during the times we've visited.

They have a bounce house, a goat petting area, and a parking area in the back. There's a pumpkin painting and a petting area with goats and chickens. It's $30 for unlimited everything or $15 per activity, but it's well worth it. You can also browse for free and enjoy the fall atmosphere! Highly recommend for Westsiders celebrating the season.

I let them know that was dangerously and they didn't do anything about it. I keep asking him to stop and that was lots of little children and he laugh and said he was going whatever he wants. He jumped and hit 2 kids, my 3 years old and a 4 years old boy. We were ready to leave and we got 2 pumpkins, $13.50 each, 2 plush toys $10 each, and 2 apple juices which I don't know the price. They charged me $90!!!!!!!!! I already had pay $80 for the unlimited bands. We were there for $10! I had a child with a bleeding nose, crying and they totally ripe as off. My niece is 9 and the first thing she said was that was the worse ripe off!!!! I have friends from friends that is always overcrowded. Most of the other places have a person by each attraction to make sure things like this doesn't happen! I would highly recommend to stay away from there. It's not worth the money or the risk to have ur kid hurt

The good: This was a decent pumpkin patch for LA standards…read more Generally, all of the patches around here are just parking lots with blow up inflatables and hay on the floor. This one had big tented areas for shade, a petting zoo, a lot of staff members and a variety of pumpkin types. The bad: Some of the activities were pretty. It was $15 for painting a pumpkin and adding googly eyes and stickers to them. I bought 8 pumpkins but it took the cashier a long time to ring them up. The cashier is in a small phone booth size space and she's stuck behind it so she doesn't come out to see which pumpkins you have. The basketball hoop was really high. There's a psychic and tarot booth but I didn't see a worker in there. There was a no smoking sign but I smelled second hand smoke right by the main shaded pumpkin area. 8 small pumpkins cost around $50-60 which was an ok price but was pricier than some patches I've been to. The interesting: They had a had a tractor toy ride around area, two different types of wagons to grab pumpkins, a petting zoo,

The worker was very nice and let my daughter see the animals before we bought tickets. Recommend coming when they first open if you want to do the bouncers esp if you have younger kids.
