Why is Mr Falafel not on here? I like his business so much I had to add him in. I used to go here all the time to the Petticoat Lane street food market when I worked in the area. Mr Falafel always has a queue longer than anybody else's (slightly irritatingly sometimes, but hey ho, all the good places are busy). He makes falafel wraps in two simple styles: small or REALLY FRICKING LARGE and they're a snip at £3.95 or £4.95. Prepare to be dominated if you go for the large one. I've seen fully grown men fail many times when trying to eat this terminator of the falafel world.
What makes this special (to me at least) is that it's a wife and husband duo that's behind the magic. She makes the falafel and fries it, he wraps it = dream team. I love supporting local food stalls like this that provide really good quality street food and lovely service with a smile. Have a chat to Mr Falaf himself and he'll always give you a free piece of falafel to nibble on while you're waiting.
One thing to note- I'm not 100% sure the stall is there every day. it may well be, but since I never went on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday I don't feel certain. It definitely is there on Thursdays and Fridays, and weekends I believe as well. read more
