We got a medium haddock and medium cod and shared a medium order of chips. The fish wasn't ready and they explicitly asked us if we were okay waiting for 10 min while they would fry it. If we didn't want to, we could have a large instead. We waited and it was less than 10 min. The fish was obviously fresh (it's caught in the North Atlantic) and the frying was crisp and fresh. There's vinegar and Salt on the tables for you. The best part was the curry sauce. I looked to see if it would be possible to buy, though that would be ridiculous to take across the pond. It's a family run business and everyone is so friendly yet quick. It's very much a local favorite- I'm pretty sure we were the only tourists. They have a lot other than fish, including burgers and battered mars bar. I am so glad we came here- the other place we were supposed to go to had run out of fish and chips and I know this place was better.

I always have the cod as my fish of choice and that is always well prepared. The battered sausage/frankfurters are highly recommended too. I also personally enjoy the milk shakes, the machine has 9 different flavours. The shop is kept in a clear presentable manner, and the customer service is excellent. It is run by a husband and wife team who are exceptionally friendly and always greet me with a friendly smile. It is the gathering place for some reason for the local hoodies, who aren't really threatening, but you wonder why they are gathered there in the first place. However this is not enough to put one off the excellent service provided by this traditional fish and chip shop.
