Not a great experience at all. ADVICE: Save yourself some money and cut out the middle man and go directly to Atlas Trucking or some other transport company. (Atlas Trucking is who Mr. Car Shipper used for my transport). With this contracting model they can't guarantee you a drop off or pickup date - you're at the mercy of who they contract out to actually do the work. I was moving cross country (Los Angeles, CA to Brooklyn, NY) and they were one of the two companies referred by Pods for a cross country car transport. I would I was not satisfied with the service I received. Their dispatchers on your transport work from 9:00am -5:00pm, so if you run into an issue past those hours you have to hope that the late night hotline calls you back. An issue I ran into because they pushed back my pickup window to when I was going to be out of the state, so I had a friend oversee the pick up. Despite what Mr. Car shipper tells you DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN THE CAR, even if it's in the trunk, the folks at Mr. Car Shipper said a few light boxes wouldn't be an issue. The driver that picked up the car was holding my friend for a $200 ransom through Zelle. The transporter wouldn't pick up the vehicle until they were paid - Mr. Car Shipper charged my account for the "Drivers Discretion Charge" When it comes to actually locating your vehicle when in transport, unless you pay an additional $200-ish location charge after the $2000 transport fee (of that distance) they have no idea where your car is. Each dispatcher could not tell me where the car was or when an estimated ETA would be. Each dispatcher along my journey would just forward Atlas Trucking's dispatch or even the driver personal number. Once they've charge your card they really could care less about you and your vehicles location. Then comes to the drop off window - a constant rolling schedule of late night drop offs that are confirmed and then canceled, night after night. I was supposed to receive my vehicle on a weekend when I had a free schedule and they continued to push past the weekend to weekdays. Currently I'm an hour away from my new apartment so there was so much wasted time commuting to meet to get the vehicle and then turning around and going back. Even writing this at 10:00 pm I'm still waiting for my vehicle to be delivered. read more

This was the first time I went through this company to ship our cars. We've used other companies before and they always bait and switch and raise the price after quotes. Mr. Car Shipper did not do this-Great price transparency. This company does not raise the price after quoted like the others. Elizabeth was very helpful and communicative with our booking. Beware of that company. they'll promise you to pick up and deliver your vehicle on a certain dates that you've asked them and they'll sweet talk you into signing a contract with them. The moment you sign the contract, the dates and the price starting to change . And if You want to cancel and work with a different company, they'll Charge you full price for a service or contract they didn't fulfill. Dont give them your credit card to put on file . Use a prepaid card with a small amount. In case you had given them your credit card, call your bank, cancel the card first before you cancel with them otherwise they'll charge full after you cancel. They are worst company. Do not speak to Kami or Nathan, those 2 are the worse. read more

I asked for a closed Transport and was given a quote for one. When the time came to transport my vehicle, there was no closed transport available. I waited for days, but no closed transport became available. I then opted for an open transport because I was running out of time for moving across country and had a flight to catch. A week before by transport date, Mr. Car Shipper still had no open transport and I had to leave my truck behind in Rhode Island and fly to California, leaving my car key with an elderly neighbor. After I left my truck behind, it took 3 extra days to get a transport. The transport dispatcher kept telling me he would message/call and then did not call or text, so I had to constantly call and text him. I ended up begging him to call my elderly neighbor and arrange for pick-up. The whole experience was stressful! Do not be fooled by the caring demenor of this Mr. Car Shipper. They really do not seem to care about their customers at all! read more

Although it took 2 weeks longer than planned, Mr. Car Shipper was very nice to deal with. The staff aways called me back and they were always polite and understanding. The extra time was due to me being in an out of the way city and the first truck carrier broke down. I would definitely use Mr. Car Shipper again. read more

We were moving from Orlando, FL to Corvallis, OR. Way in advance we contacted Mr. Car Shipper to find a transport company to pick our car up between May 17-19. When we hadn't heard anything before May 18 we called them. They didn't seem to be concerned that they hadn't found a transport company yet and the numerous times we called them after that they always told us they would find one soon. Since they didn't find one before we were flying to OR on the 19th we had to leave it at a friend's house. The transport company they found picked it up on May 29th. Luckily the transport company was much more prompt than Mr. Car Shipper and got the car to us on June 6th. Except for the long delay, lack of communication on their part, and the extra days we had to pay for a rental car everything else was fine. TLDR: If you don't mind this company not keeping their scheduled pickup time, complete lack of communication or empathy for the customers concern about this, and the extra cost of a rental car while waiting for your car this may be the company for you. read more

I would leave them ZERO stars if I could. I contacted them on April 18th for a quote to ship 3 vehicles BY NO LATER THAN JUNE 8th. Given that this was a little more complex than one vehicle, I wanted to plan to have ample opportunity to accommodate this. The sales rep was nice, and assured me that this would not be an issue. I even offered that I could be very flexible with my 3 day window in order to accommodate my request, but he again assured me that my last day that the vehicles must ship (June 6th-8th) would be the best window to make sure this lane is covered. I proceeded on with them. ZERO communication all the way up until this week when I emailed and asked for an update because my MUST SHIP DATE WAS FAST APPROACHING. I got a quick reply of "we are working on it, and will let you know when we have a carrier." Fast forward to today, and tomorrow being the three day window that the cars MUST SHIP BY, I have still heard nothing. I email in AGAIN, and get a snarky reply that they are working on it, but I should make back up plans just in case. This is unacceptable. Their videos make it seem like they are so customer service focused, and so accommodating. They aren't, terrible customer service - no communication, and even coming off as standoffish when you ask for an update. Will never recommend this company, will never EVER consider wasting another second on them. The only thing I got out of this was a crappy cup of coffee. Avoid at all costs. read more

We, in our senior years needed to move from our home of 60+years in Hawaii to be with my daughter and husband (born and raised in Hawaii) who felt Hawaii was now too expensive and losing the aloha spirit. So they chose Tennessee, beautiful , not as expensive and lots of aloha spirit. My husband and I have health issues and needed to be near family.(all moved to the mainland but one son). PLEASE READ! DO NOT USE MR CARSHIPPER! We made the mistake of moving our car from LA to Atlanta. I should have done more research. They call center they have is unresponsive as soon as you book the delivery. Mr CARSHIPPER used the WORST trucking company ever! The dispatcher from the trucking company texted me 3 days before pick up to confirm the pick up date and time. She had me call her to confirm which I did. We set a date and time and I thought everything was fine. She called me 2 other times to confirm. When the dates and time came it did not happen like she said in the other calls. I kept texting the truck company and calling but no answer. We had booked movers to move our furniture into the moving truck but couldn't because our car was in the way. I tried calling Mr car shipper but they pushed the blame to the trucking company. The driver finally came. I asked to call the dispatcher from his phone since the dispatcher would not answer my calls. She did answer and said she was sorry she made the mistakes. They took my car and did the same thing with delivery and kept changing dates and times. When the trucking company finally came they would not come near my house and I had to go extremely far to get the car at 1am. I told mr car shipper about the experience and they did not care. They said they were separate from the trucking company Please do your research. Do not use Mr car shipper. They are rude and use shady cheapy truckers. read more

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Mr Car Shipper--from CA to NC. The car was picked up 5 days late and delivered 2 days early. We had to scramble to make arrangements for someone in each state to handle pickup and delivery. The driver was one of the most unprofessional people we've ever had to deal with. He constantly whined, begged, and complained to us about his work load and made demands for us to accommodate him because of it. I used Mr Car Shipper to ship my car from Massachusetts to California. My experience was NOT pleasant mainly because the delay of car pick up date by 4 days which is the day I need to depart from the State. The biggest headache was Mr Car Shipper communicated the actual pick up date 2 days before my departure. I called everyday and they kept telling me "we don't know yet". It was a nightmare trying to figuring out the logistics. For the premium price Mr. Car Shipper charge, this is not the quality of service I can appreciate. read more

We moved our cars cross country from near Philadelphia to Phoenix, AZ. Great service. Our cars were picked on on Wednesday eve and delivered to Phoenix on Sunday , Dinner time. The driver kept in touch with us the day of arriving, He called us at lunch time and said he would be in our neighbor around 6 pm. Sure enough he arrived at 5pm. Due to the size of the trailer and not being able to make the turns in the neighbor, we found a common parking lot which happened to be Home Depot right around the corner from us. The driver was well aware of where the Home Depot was and without issue, he had our cars off the trailer by the time we got there to pick them up. The cars arrived the way they left our home . We were moving across the country and got referred by PODS to come to this vehicle shipper, and booked our vehicle to be picked up a month in advance.It was not made clear to us at the beginning that there was a possibility our vehicle might not be picked up at all because no carriers are available. They day we were leaving to our new home we were informed that no carriers were coming to get our vehicle in the 3-day pick up window we were provided. Dispatch has only told me that they will let me know when they have a carrier and has given me no projected dates. Now our vehicle is sitting on the other side of the country and we are waiting for any updates. Don't know what to do. read more

The company they chose to transport my cars was the worst when it came to communication. The dates constantly changed and the times it made my move horrible and unsettling. Outstanding transaction. Loved that you pay it all up front and they don't require you to have hundreds of dollars in cash to hand a driver at the end. Communication was timely and plentiful. I want to be honest and fair, so I let some time pass before reviewing. Start with the good/OK, bottom line, I got my truck, but they DID NOT MEET their own parameters for success. Now the bad: (1.) The truck was supposed to be (admittedly, not a guarantee) shipped within a 3 day window. Instead, it shipped after 7 days, which put me in a bind because it was delivered mid-day on Christmas eve. (2.) Their customer service explanation for this was basically, "I'm sorry, but we never guaranteed 3 days." (3.) What I found more SLEAZY, is that they use the age-old sales technique of time pressure...if you watch a video of the owner telling you how good their service is and how bad the competition is, THEN BOOK within 30 minutes, they GUARANTEE a top load (the benefits of this is explained in detail in the video). The driver arrived and the truck was on bottom, which I confirmed was like that from MI to CA. (4.) When I advised Mr. Shipper of this, the offered no response other than to say my top load fee would be refunded, which it was. Not even an "I'm sorry."
