Love, love, love! A real hidden gem, and a place for all the underground and better known bands alike to walk in and enjoy playing on a stage that almost feels like a second home. The owners and staff make an effort to meet and greet and make everyone feel welcomed. Not the faintest speck of pretentiousness, this bar was made for rock and roll enthusiasts and performers alike. Don't be fooled by the small shop front, this place can, and often does, feel like a big house party. Not only is the bar intimate, but also has areas out front and back for smokers or those who want a quieter chat or a little more space. If you are planning a trip to check it out and are driving a distance, I would advise checking out their Facebook page or giving them a call to find out what's on, depending on what floats your boat. I've seen metal, rock, punk, folk, tribute acts, open mic nights, festivals (including Abbottsfest and Shefest), blues, funk, experimental, fusion...pretty much any genre you can imagine, as well as short films and film viewings. I drive over 2 hours one way just for the company and culture. read more
