I was in the market for a new dining room table and chairs. I have a smaller dining room, so was getting quite frustrated - the tables I liked were too big for my room, or only came with 4 chairs -to get enough seating I would have spent an arm and a leg and my room would still be very crowded. I found Mr. Bird's Nest through a colleague and asked for a quote for a custom size table, 4 chairs, and a long bench. Very affordable and solid wood!!! The quality of construction will last through my grandchildren's lifetimes or longer and it is absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't be more pleased with my investment. See the pic of the dining room table and blue chairs...that's mine!!! :) read more

Let's be honest, Norfolk doesn't exactly have the best shopping options. I was recommended to this…read moreboutique from a friend and loved it instantly. They have a good variety of clothes. Everything from; dresses, coats, shirts, jeans, leggings, scarfs, hats and more. They also carry some accessories such as purses, jewelry and more. They do carry a small amount of different styles of shoes, depending on the season. It is a small, very cute boutique. I've never had a problem with the workers here. They are for the most part very friendly and willing to help you put outfits together. They are a little pricey, but most small town boutiques are, no matter where they are. They also have a Facebook and Instagram which they update daily. A few times I have seen something on there, called them and they will hold the item for you. they also keep their website very updated. Once you buy something they take the size off the website right away. I did go in there, looking for a particular bracelet charm, they didn't have it in stock and ordered it specially for me and it came in very quickly. I recommend this boutique to anyone looking for cute clothes and needing an update to their wardrobe. You won't be disappointed, however they are a little limited in their sizes. A few times I have run into the problem that once they run out of something, they can't order any more. This store is also downtown Norfolk, so sometimes parking can get tricky.
