They take their time with your child and make sure they understand the techniques, movements, proper feet/arm placement and overall understanding of the fundamentals. I've seen my son progressively become more confident and poised in his understanding of Martial Arts. I could not tell you the exact belt elevation process but it's been roughly 3 years and he's at yellow stripe black with next belt being green. It's been a lovely gradual process that we all intend to see through the end, that being black belt and beyond. In addition to a great Martial Arts curriculum, UAMA also does many things in and around the community of Morgan Hill. Picnics, BBQ's, fun family field events, parade involvement are just a few of the organized activities at your discretion. The instructors are so patient with the students and they make sure to highlight each student for something they do well in class. The kids always have the most fun when the tables are turned during the games and it becomes students vs instructors. We've advanced to his 4th belt and will be promoted to his 5th soon. My son is always looking forward to class and hanging out with his classmates after. I love the strong sense of community we have developed with the other families. I'm so glad we joined and looking forward to him continuing his taekwondo journey !
