She told me about the studio and the classes, and how I can get the first class free, etc. I went in to check it out a week later, and was happy to see the place to be so inviting and cozy. It's nested inside a strip mall and not much to look at from the outside, but inside it opens up to a comfortable waiting area with nooks to store you stuff, and a large studio with wooden floors and ambient lighting. Vicki is a wonderful teacher who is very pleasant and relaxed. She doesn't push you at all, and she teaches you to be patient and non-judgmental with yourself, and do what your body tells you. I find the classes a good workout in terms of strengthening your body and improving flow. And I like how she incorporates a lot of mindfulness into the practice, so the experience is very holistic. I've not taken too many classes with other teachers, but they each have their own style; you just have to find what works for you. They do offer various levels and classes in addition to yoga, so there are many options. The rate is also reasonable. You can get an 8-class pass that doesn't expire, which is great if you aren't sure how often you'll go (a lot of other places only honor a pass for a certain number of months). I definitely recommend this place if you want to try out yoga in a comfortable and caring environment.

I love the studio; big enough to have room to stretch out, but not an auditorium or anything. Very cozy and calm. I've enjoyed the classes I've done (Basic 2 with Dee and Yoga With Irma). Both are a little slower than some of the popular Power Yoga classes around the area, but it was exactly what I'm looking for! A great pace that allows me to really focus on my breath and form, not just "power" through it. There are a variety of classes to try, so this studio seems great for the beginner and the yogi alike. As the other review mentioned, the price is actually amazing. $12 drop in and ten classes for $80? I can tell you, that is the best price in the area, and I know because I've been looking for a place just like this! I will definitely report back after I've had a few more classes here, but I'm sold right now and I don't envision that changing. They also have some pretty interesting looking workshops that I will definitely try in the future. So happy to have found Yoga One!

We go about 2x a week and I've always had a very welcoming and great experience. The staff is very friendly and I've gotten to know them on a personal level. It was important to me to find a yoga class at a gym that was a little more spiritual than I've found at past gyms and this definitely exceeded my expectations. After getting to know the instructors, and telling them what my goals are, they've been extremely supportive in pushing me beyond what I think I can do and helping me reach some of my goals so soon. I didn't even have my membership for a month because within less then a month the instructor didn't show up 5 times! Brenda and Abby are great and are way too good for Guru Fitness under these owners! 4 of those 5 classes were Kelly's classes that she just didn't show up to. 1 of those classes was a scheduling error made by Kelly. I've never been to any sort of business that the owner has no idea how to run it. I am now going to a yoga gym 40 minutes from my home that is also reasonably priced, Guru was just 5 minutes away! Also, my sister-in-law had a membership there and they accidentally overcharged her several times. They were willing to reimburse her, but how does that happen on multiple occasions? I am so disappointed in my experience with Guru, and until they have new owners, or until Kelly takes some business classes to understand how to run a business, I HIGHLY recommend going to any other yoga gym - it'll be worth the price no matter how much more expensive it is!

I find myself in Yoga a few days a week - the studio is beautiful and the mild heat is welcome in these bitterly cold winter months! I recommend Kristy's Wall class for a great deep stretch and Sarah's Power Flow for the ultimate mind/body stress relief! As part of my New Years Resolution, I am trying more of the fitness classes here, and thus far have taken Lisa's Tabata and Michelle's Burn class - both high-intensity interval training guaranteed to ramp up your energy! You'll also find pilates, barre, aerial, spinning, and martial arts classes here - ensuring you'll never get stuck in a rut!
