Moyer's Tree Service (Now Moyer's Tree Care) Facebook Review If you want to use Moyer's Tree Service (Now Moyer's Tree Care), I highly recommend you go elsewhere and hire a professional tree service that is accredited with the Better Business Bureau!!! Somewhere around the 1st of September 2020, when I contacted Toledo Edison, they referred me to Moyer's Tree Service and after about 10 days, and no response from Moyer's Tree Service, I asked Toledo Edison if there was someone else I could call to do the work and they told me no. I believe I did not have any choice but to use Moyer's Tree Service. Since Moyer's Tree Service was doing contract service for Toledo Edison, I believe they were deceiving them too. When they finally contacted me, they came on September 15, 2020 and gave me a quote to remove four (4) trees for $ 4,500.00 plus tax to be submitted to Toledo Edison for added payments of $ 134.06 per month for 36 months on our electric bill. Toledo Edison told me that they allow $ 5,000.00 for tree removal and Moyer's Tree Service took advantage of that allowance and charged me as much as they could!!! On September 20, 2020 they started work and posted on their Facebook page that they are removing three (3) trees. When I called and asked why I was quoted for four (4) trees and they only removed three (3) they said it was an "Honest Mistake". If it was an "Honest Mistake" it could be fixed by adjusting my bill. They also removed the post on their Facebook page that they removed three (3) trees at our property! They also changed the name of their Facebook page to Moyer's Tree Care!!! The bill was sent to Toledo Edison BEFORE the work was completed. According to Toledo Edison the work should have been completed in 3 weeks (21 days), it wasn't completed until 7.25 weeks later (51 days later)!!! While Moyer's Tree Service were removing our trees, they left their equipment in our backyard for several days, and left piles of wood in our backyard for weeks. We had to keep calling them and asking when they were going to finish the job! Moyer's Tree Service's contract has the Better Business Bureau logo on it, but according to the Better Business Bureau website it says, "This business is not BBB accredited!!! The contract also claims "Over 10 Years Experience", but the Better Business Bureau says they have been in business 3 years! To me that is misleading. Fast forward, I had a four (4) foot tall stump by the barn that wasn't cut down until November 5, 2020. 51 days after they first started!!! In my opinion, Moyer's Tree Service, (Now Moyer's Tree Care), is not a reputable company to do business with.
