At the initial hearing, he charged us $6,000 just to show up in court, where the judge split custody 50/50. The second hearing, which should have been a straightforward dismissal, cost us another $7,000. He even called to say he needed to postpone it because he had COVID. To make matters worse, he lost his temper with my fiancé, who has been waiting a year for this issue to be resolved. Worst attorney I have dealt with. If I could give him no star I would! Upon meeting him I walked in and he I immediately apologized and said his secretary was out on"vacation". When I sat down he asked me for my paper work and I showed him, which the case was in regards child custody. I showed him my case and told him I was looking to have my daughters daycare in between household and was trying to have both parties meet half way in regards pick up or drop off. Immediately he responded by sayIng I know exactly what you want and started screaming and becoming aggressive and said he would get me exactly what I want. And stated he has dealt with that judge before and he knows exactly what to say. In addition,I was requesting for communication through an app no calls or text. To make a long a story short he convinced me and I was sure I finally had a lawyer who was not just money hungry but willing to fight for a FATHERS RIGHT since women seem to always get the benefit of the doubt(not all women are the same, I understand that) but as a father trying to fight his rights in court seems one sided (always favored to mother)as it is,so having someone to back you up always feels good. I would try to get a hold of ken Moyal when I had questions.Especially when I was served with c.s. I wasn't clear on smith and holster case which I called him and asked for a detailed explanation. He went to say just send me the papers and I'll deal with it later, when one he already had a copy and two I sent it once again.I asked just to give me an idea of whAt it was he started getting loud and cursing, becoming completely unprofessional which caused me to react and demanded respect. Once he calmed down he gave me a very brief explanation but I still had questions but just decided to let it go and do my own research. When the day of court came I wanted to just fire him but 1/2 of the amount was already paid and at that point I just needed someone to represent me and it was late to look for another attorney. I thought to my self at least he'll do the speaking for me since I choke on public speaking. He presented my request upon the judge and when he was asked why was I looking for those demands. I was expecting for a professional well thought out response since he said at the beginning he has dealt with multiple situations similar to mine and judge. Plus, I provided him with information that I fealt would have helped my request. When he came to respond the question his answer was "my client believes that's fair"! I was Just in shock that after a big speech he gave me his response was just so basic. How was that convincing!?!?!At the end, out of all those things I had requested only one was in my favor and that's because the judge thought it was a good start(using the app for communication). At the end he tells me "That was a great VICTORY" and that we had her right where we wanted. I found that as a joke. As soon as that case was over I immediately started loooking for a new attorney. So save your money and save your time.ken Moyal does not care one bit about your case and will lie from beginning to end to make it seem like he did one hell of a job when in reality he did nothing. He did nothing to protect my rights in the courtroom and agreed with the other side, and in one phone conversation with him, he admitted to knowing the opposing side on a personal level. By mistake of course. Which is a complete conflict of interest and he shouldn't have been involved. Or charged me. He knew my financial position and the delicate nature of the case and that an innocent child's safety is at stake. That mattered none. I found out too late that this atty is a con artist/scammer. He behaves like an angry child which is quite charming/endearing but when he says he is one's atty he is actually not doing ANYTHING. He doesn't even go to the office or have associates or assistants. He will promise you he wins then take your retainer and not do any work. Totally unprepared for the court hearings. And late. All he did was show up late w a mistyped order. I finally looked at all the red flags (gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time) and he gave me a bill for $5200 for two hearings and had rounded up to hours for two short emails and had NEVER RESPONDED to my texts and emails asking why no response? Also charged me for the first consult after saying he wouldn't. Denied he said that. He lies unscrupulously. Other attys confirmed that in the network Ken is the worst and DOESNT DO ANYTHING. I wish I had known. Stay away from this atty. I have been in a two year divorce so I have met with many attorneys.
