I can't sufficiently express my deep gratitude to Alan for his help after I had both knees replaced at the same time. He's an incredibly gifted physical therapist, but also a very kind and compassionate person. He supported me during the most difficult times in my recovery and his gentle persistence and warmly focused approach to recover the range of motion in my knees was such an invaluable gift to me. His highly capable and intuitive work on building flexibility and use of gentle manipulations made the painful process of increasing mobility possible. He instilled in me a confidence that we could get the results I needed to have full function again and then calmly and patiently worked with me to make that happen. The entire staff is thoughtful, friendly, helpful and highly professional. This makes an incredible difference when the hard work toward recovery needs to be done. One day I felt particularly discouraged and Karen came over and quietly put her arm around me. She didn't even know me. They treat every individual patient and each other with the utmost respect and kindness. As far as I'm concerned, if you need physical therapy, Morro Bay Movement for Life Physical Therapy is the only place to go. read more

Top quality therapy clinic. Colleen and Karen are amazing practitioners, and they helped my recovery tremendously following hip surgery. I moved to Denver in the middle of my recovery, and I didn't realize how spoiled I was at movement for life and I appreciate all the services at this clinic offered even more. The Manual therapy and ice machines are super helpful and I am definitely missing this level of care. read more

My plantar fascia tore on my right foot, so I was in a boot for about 2 months. My podiatrist recommended physical therapy, so I chose Movement for Life, because I'd been a client before. My therapist, Kyle, was so supportive and kind. I have gotten back to my usual activities thanks to Kyle's help. Everyone else was great too - front desk staff and all of the PT assistants. Thank you! read more

I enjoyed my physical therapy here with Alan. It was a good environment and my recovery went well.

Movement for Life is a great PT group with high quality therapists who have great knowledge and a great attitude. I started with them in August of 2023 for lower back pain and neck treatment, and feel like a new man. I work with Kyle as my primary and have also worked with Karen and Colleen, all of whom are extremely knowledgeable. They tailor an exercise/stretching program to one's needs and end the session with heat or ice and a TENS unit. An added bonus is that their location is a couple of blocks away from my gym where I can do treadmill and additional work. Just a great group that I highly recommend. read more

Movement for Life got me moving in life again! I had pulled my neck out and the pain was so excruciating it hurt to walk or even drive, I came to Movement for Life for help. My physical therapist Eric Balash and the exercise assistants took such outstanding care of me I can now get back in the swing of life. Eric Balash got right to the problem of my pain with his excellent progression of massaging and pressure points skills. I was also taught exercises I can do at home to continue my process of keeping my neck and back in shape. Eric is truly a gifted physical therapist. The entire environment at Movement for Life is positive and healing I am so thankful for the relief from my pain. read more

I'm 76 years old and when I started treatment with Movement for Life I was going down stairs using both hands on the one handrail as my knees were not only unreliable but quite painful. Active treatment lasted, I think, two months and I experienced good progress. I continued the exercises at home and I can now go easily up and down stairs comfortably and without use of the handrail. I am extraordinarily grateful for the services provided by Colleen Vecchetti, as well as the many staff members who helped me. They provide outstanding treatment, they do so with supportive encouragement and warmth that helps me to commit to continuing the efforts required to retard the deterioration aging entails. I cannot thank them enough. read more

BEWARE !!! Few years ago I tried this place and my therapist was Colleen and couldnt help me at all. I didnt have a good experience with her since her poor evaluation and treatment. Then after my pregnancy I was ordered to go back to this place. My neighbor recommended me Eric Balash. He was treating my lower back and hip issues for months. Unfortunately, on January 10th, I came back to see Eric Balash to let him know that i was pain free thanks to medication. But that day Eric Balash injured my lower back so bad that after 10 min visit I couldnt move. I couldnt walk or seat. I told him that after he pushed my back it hurt me really bad. Everybody looked at us surprised that I was screaming in pain. Later he hold my hand, and guided me to the exit. He grabbed my things and made me seat in my car saying dont worry tomorrow you will be fine. I came to this place painless and that day I could barely walk after his treatment. I recently asked for his medical notes and to my surprise he changed the story. He said that I complained about stiffnes and tensión in my back and i was able to walk out the clinic with my own abilities. Please stay away from this place or like me you will end it up with another injury or worst!!! Nobody called me from this place to check if i was able to walk without help after the visit with Eric Balash. I had to call him and complain about his medical notes. Eric Balash only apologised and said he was sorry. Please patients need better healthcare providers, instead of people like Eric who changed my medical notes and providencial the worst care ever. This people only care about your money not your health. please STAY AWAy FROM THiS PLaCE read more

I had rotator cuff surgery with Dr Schueckler in Jan/2020. I worked with Eric Balash at San Luis Sports Therapy and feel I've had a very successful recovery . The staff at Morro Bay San Luis Sports Therapy is great; safe, efficient and friendly . I switched to this office due to Covid concerns and they did everything in a safe manner. Eric Balash has a good balance of knowledge and experience combining massage, stretching and strengthening exercises. He's a good listener and explains the recovery process well . He also was the only PT that followed through with shoulder range measurements and was thorough with communication with my surgeon. I highly recommend Eric and the team at San Luis Sports Therapy in Morro Bay! read more

The physical therapy I've received at Movement for Life in Morro Bay was, and continues to be, exceptional in every way. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped. The physical therapists, all of them, are top notch and current in their field. They explain why pain and restriction of movement occurs. They may ask for an x-ray should an injury or problem call for better clarity. Take this to mean they are professional, ethical, and want the best for you. All of the staff, the physical therapists, PT Aides and office staff, work together to create a positive, caring, and safe atmosphere. I've been to MFL for three different conditions (Achilles tendonitis, lower back/hip, and shoulders) over the past 17 months. Not once have I left disappointed. Be prepared to work if you want to return to an active lifestyle. read more

I was so fortunate that San Luis Sports Therapy happened to be less than 5 minutes away from my house. It was a very different experience from any Physical Therapy I had experienced in the past as it was all done with multiple patients in 2 large rooms instead of the 1 on 1 experience I had in the past. They also have multiple therapist working the room so you never wait too long. Once I got past the initial change I grew to really appreciate this approach. It was very thorough and comprehensive. I would HIGHLY recommend S.L.S.T. to anyone needing physical therapy care. read more

This is an amazing practice. Mike Williams was the main guy who got me going and wanting to get my shoulder better. The entire Physical Therapy staff and front desk are awesome. Truly cared about making sure what I was doing was being done correctly and gave me the inspiration to do my exercises at home as well as there. Will always be grateful to you all! read more

The Care Team at Movement for Life is nothing short of amazing. I recently had total knee replacement and my Physical Therapist Kyle crafted a recovery plan specific to my needs for my active life style. He and the entire staff were positive, encouraging and current on the latest techniques for rehabilitation of my knee. If you are looking for a place to speed your recovery locally, I highly recommend Movement for Life. read more

This is the place to go. From my first evaluation the week after surgery for rotator cuff / biceps tendon tears, they made it all about me. The entire staff is engaged, outgoing, and wanting to help. I was assigned to Eric - who I believe is the primary reason I rehabbed so well. His knowledge was impressive, and he went out of his way to make my sessions convenient for me - a frequent traveler. The hands on work Eric did on me is definitely the reason I regained my range of motion quite quickly. He focused on my personal goals and I reached them. Mike runs a great ship and the staff from A-Z has the right customer oriented attitude. I whole heartedly endorse this place. read more

I have been going to this physical therapy clinic for about 4 weeks to rehab a muscle injury. I'm quite impressed with the caliber of therapists. Eric Balash was my amazing PT from September/Mid January 2020/2021. I had a severe ankle injury with surgery & a plate & screws placed in it. When I entered for my 1st session I was in a huge boot & used a walker or my knee rover. Eric took me right where I was without pushing me beyond my mental or physical comfort zone.He provided many helpful home exercises to do, which really helped!!! Eric & his team are not just there for the injury rehabilitation!!! They provided an extremely positive, caring one -on -one experience for their patients!!! At this time of Covid-19 twice a week appointments might be the only time a patient is with another human.! This was an amazing positive experience!!! My praises go out for Eric Balash & his awesome team Warmly, Jeannie Fox read more

In July of 2020, I suffered a torn bicep tendon in my left arm in Los Angeles just before starting a 3-month housesitting gig in Morro Bay. I became a regular patient at San Luis Sports Therapy under the care of Colleen Vecchetti and her incredible staff of young therapists. Not only did I receive excellent, knowledgable treatment, but this group of people is particularly warm and friendly. I looked forward to each session and was always treated with kindness and respect. Colleen and the crew made each workout fun and I would easily recommend San Luis Sports Therapy to anyone. Additionally, the staff took extra precautions to wipe down all equipment after each use, and maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety. I "graduated" from PT last week with my arm strength almost back to normal and I'm ready to tackle my next adventures in life. Couldn't have done it without Colleen's guidance, support, and winning attitude. This place just rocks. So... Here's to you, Colleen, plus Matt, Kendra, Brett, Karen, and everyone at SLST, thanks a million. I'm a new man! Best wishes to all of you in your future endeavors! Sincerely, Mark read more

I am having a hard time putting into words just how good MFL MB is. I'm 55 and I have a hip problem which started as what I thought was a back problem. I started months ago with Clara at MFL MB. I just finished my therapy for now. Every person I had contact with was so professional and so caring. The way they move you forward and track your progress was awesome. Ms. Clara is warm and personal and keeps you working hard for your goal, (for me that's playing softball again) There is no way to say how Thankful I am for the staff and how they just bring you in and go for it. If you're struggling, this is the place, I never thought for a second I could move this far in such a short time. :) -Dj Bob read more

This is by far the best Sports Therapy. From the moment you check in to the quality of care you get through your therapy process is amazing. So much time & care is taken with your individual care plan which is changed as needed to add additional beneficial exercises. The atmosphere is very energized & makes you look forward to going. All therapists help each other & are all very caring. Working with Eric & Brandon made the time spent go by fast & was actually fun. I just graduated as my injury is well on it's way to recovery & I will miss going. Karen Baird read more

I had a full knee replacement in June with some added complications. The team at SLO Sports Therapy in Morro Bay has been fantastic in helping me achieve my recovery goals! Although my assigned therapist is Wade, who is amazing & really knows his stuff, they do use a team approach to treatment. As the other reviewers noted, the staff are personable and get to know you by name. The room can be bustling but I always feel like I'm given top notch attention. They are very motivating and push me appropriately but also listen to and respect my hard limits. The atmosphere is always fun and lively! They treat patients of all ages and are very caring in their approach. As a bonus, the owner & staff care about and give back to the community. I am glad I chose this agency to get me through a tough recovery process. I highly recommend San Luis Obispo Sports Therapy in Morro Bay! read more

Amazing amazing amazing!! All the staff are amazing and Mike is so fabulous. They are all going 100 miles an hour, but still manage to make you feel like your the only one in the room. Excellent entire staff. Amazing to work with: knowledgeable, supportive and experienced. Even during this crazy time, I was able to do the necessary exercises and any questions or concerns were addressed. We had to meet online but it worked. I want to let people know that this is the best therapy place Mike and his staff are all very nice I bring my mom here great job!!!!

I came to Movement for Life after having a terrible bicycle crash over a year prior in 2020. My issues weren't resolving, in fact, it seemed they were worsening. My therapy started with Michael and we were making some progress...but then he abruptly retired. I was worried about a new therapist taking over treatment without a full new evaluation and unfamiliar with my complicated case. I have to say how completely unwarranted my concerns were and how wonderful my new therapist has been. For the first time in a year and a half of living in constant and life limiting pain, I feel like there is hope. Ben Taillie has been so thoughtful and thorough in his approach to trouble shooting my very complicated, non-standard injuries. There are no simple textbooks or protocols for my issues but Ben has been willing to travel down this unknown road and try new things to create an effective treatment approach very specific to my problems. He is an innovative therapist that is willing to stretch himself to meet the needs of his patients and really try to understand and correct the source of the problem. Ben is very hands-on and attentive, in fact all of the therapists are very involved with the entire process of rehabilitation. The Aides and Assistants are wonderful and create an environment that feels comfortable and light-hearted, which is really nice when pain is wearing you down. You don't feel like you were 'handed off' for training here but rather, there is an ongoing communication and reviewing of the exercise protocols each visit. Ben is REALLY creative with exercise... it's not just everyone gets the same program in this clinic. Let's not forget the smiling face that greets you and takes care of the schedule like a magician, Alyssa. Thank you...truly...all of you work so well together to create an environment and approach that is so warm and welcoming while we go through the often difficult rehab process. I am truly grateful for the time Ben is taking to help me heal and for all of the staff that make this clinic a very special place. read more

I have been to SLST now a total of three times with issues that so needed expert treatment. I so love the care, attention and healing I always experience here. I wrapped up PT for rotator cuff injury today and can't say enough about the skill, courtesy and enthusiasm of the therapists and staff at the Morro Bay clinic. Eric Balash PT, DPT, ATC couldn't be more helpful and more focused on a positive outcome. The entire staff make an art out of cooperative care and are without fail cheerful and in it to win it. These people know what they are doing! They were effective, kind, and patient with my elderly mother who was quite weak. She gained strength in a short period of time. They work effectively with Medicare and medical professionals. Over the past several years, Mom has tried two other physical therapy offices, and she was never very enthused. This time, at the suggestion of her neurologist, she went to San Luis Sports Therapy. Mom liked them enough to really stick with it! read more

This is the place if you have any problems with your body. I had some knee issues for over ten years and other physical therapists were not able to solve the problem. I couldn't be happier with my treatment and outcome from the work with Michael Williams and his staff at San Luis Sports Therapy. I started five weeks after my Total Hip Replacement. I hobbled in with a cane, and six weeks later with their knowledgable attentive and encouraging support, I feel ten years younger than before my surgery.
