I was invited to this church back in 2013. When you pull up on the grounds you are greeted by the Parking Lot Ministry and I didn't fee like a guest (this is how they made me feel) and then you are welcomed by Greeters at the door. The Spirit of God is truly in this church! I have been here ever since. I went thru M-Track class and volunteering every since, but what really go me was the FREEDCOM Conference. This totally transformed my life. Every church is different BUT the relationship with God remains the same. My husband and I have been trying to find a church in the area so we came to visit Move church. We were excited at first, worship was all off tune, it sounded like an elementary school performance but that is not what deterred us. The sermon wasn't even a sermon, it was just a man saying to give the church money. His entire "sermon" revolved around church goers giving them money and what they supposedly did with it and then asked for more. This was the worst church I have never been to a church this bad before... I'd go to a Jehovah Witness church before coming back here. read more

Move Church (formerly, Church on the Move) is an amazing place to learn, fellowship and receive clear and concise teachings about the Bible. Pastor Mark and his team are great presenters and relate to all kinds of people. I really enjoy the diversity of the church, and their praise and worship is top-notch. Honestly feels like a concert for Christ before we start service. Pastor Mark always delivers a strong message, and their entire congregation is welcoming. Move Church does a great job breaking down the Bible to understand, and motivating the Church body to fish for others souls. Really focuses on the core values and teachings while doing a great job using modern metaphors to application in today's world. My family has been going to COTM since April of 2015. We love it, we have been accepted more than we could have dreamed. We have made many Christian connections with the Life Groups they have. We have both gone through the Christian Growth track classes that teach you about serving God, and the Church. We are very connected to the point when our 11 year old son helps out with the kids in the go classes. We love the congregation, and the messages that are delivered by Pastor Mark. Carlos in the Kids On The Go service has been a God send for our son. He has heloed him get though sone tough times and made him feel helpful and welcomed. The praise and worship is good and I truly can't say enough about the church. It's truly a family atmosphere and we have made so many forever friends. In moving clear across the country and leaving and incredible church we are beyond blessed to have found Church On The Move. This review is for the preschool which is known as Kids on the Move. Since the school is directly connected to the church, and since there is no other place to put reviews on this establishment, I believe this review is important and very relevant to anyone who is considering association with this ministry in any capacity. In August my two daughters had the opportunity to be part of KOTM preschool. My youngest went for the two year old class where she was in the process of being potty trained. It is important to note that her potty training was going quite well prior to coming to this school and her previous teacher at another school actually thought she was ready to wear underwear for the whole day. Things started going bad the second week they were there, but it was mainly for my youngest. I picked them up and made a stop. Within about 10 minutes of being at my stop, my youngest daughter had peed through her diaper. I examined her diaper and it was completely soaked. I showed the diaper to my wife and she stated it was the exact same diaper that she put on her that morning before dropping her off to school. My wife promptly sent an e-mail that evening explaining the events. It wasn't until a week later that the center responded in person (never responded directly to the e-mail). A few days later, which was approximately three weeks of our children being there, after the response, we began getting our first complaint about our youngest daughter's behavior. KOTM stated that she was hitting other kids and that if she did it again that she would be written up. The next day, she was written up. The next week we were on our way out of town and we came to pick our daughters up and when we picked up our youngest the teacher stated that she was unable to take her to the bathroom because she had other kids to look after. We were very upset about this. Around the end of September we were again notified of our daughter hitting other kids and it was stated that she was doing it on a everyday basis. We wanted to meet with management to see what was going on, what was the cause of her behavior and what was being done with her potty training. We stated that her behavior was extremely unusual, she does not have a history of regularly hitting other kids and that we are confused as to why she was behaving this way. The meeting resulted in an agreement for the staff to give her incentives for good behavior and to use redirection as a means to help curb her behavior. Only 4 days after that the director of the school pulled my wife aside as she was picking our kids up, she stated her concerned about how our daughter was behaving, how she may be getting disciplined at home and concerned with how her behavior was being addressed at home. The next day, I talked to the director. During the conversation the director stated that our daughter had been hitting kids virtually every day since she was there (my wife asked the teacher the first couple of weeks how our daughter was doing and never mentioned she hit anyone). I pointed out that it took 3 weeks for us to be given this information. The director stated that they did not see it as a concern at that time since she was new and her behavior wasn't unusual for a new student. At that point, there was an incident as we were on the phone, our daughter bit another child and essentially at that point she was kicked out of the school. About a month after being out of that school and into another school our daughter has hitting has subsided greatly. She has actually gone weeks without hitting another child and her first incident actually involved another child hitting her and her retaliating. And as far as her potty training, she has gotten back to where she was prior to KOTM and is no longer using pull ups. I certainly cannot say definitively what happened at KOTM. I know my child, and I know she never exhibited her behavior anywhere else before or after KOTM. My gut tells me that something wasn't right there and it was further shown by the pictures I have attached. I honestly believe that this place is understaffed and the workers are unable to handle the amount of kids they have. They communicate extremely poorly (lack of response to e-mail, update on child activities and progress). They have received complaints about lack of staff from the state office but the complaints were unfounded at the time. The point of this review is my hope is that other parents who have had these experiences will began to speak out and begin to show what's really happening with these kids at this school and for me to ask anyone reading this if you would ever want your kids to look like they do on these photos? read more

I starting going to church on the move since March 2015. On my first visit I felt so welcomed & Comfortable.Everyone greets you & are so friendly. It is a contemporary church so, everyone can dress causal. The Church is very spiritual. Everyone makes you feel like family. I started attending this church last Spring of 2018 and decided by the Fall that I must join because I was so pleased with the atmosphere, the worship, the heartfelt messages of the true Word of God and warmth yet admission that we are all fallible including this church. We are there to worship God Jehovah and not man has been what I have been taught over the years especially since one day we will individually face the Lord Adonai and not say, me and my pastor or the elders all together to judge me and my life. Indeed, yes, churches need funds - giving by people - to operate and survive, serve the community and hopefully, grow and this is not a "prosperity preaching" environment. This congregation growing out of its seams, multi-cultural, bible teaching, Spirit-filled church of God is well worth visiting, gaining salvation for yourself, joining and getting involved with by serving! I have to say, if there are hundreds of people that attend this church and only a few people have come out with a negative review, that's a pretty dang good church in my opinion. And that's because mostly people only use yelp to post about the negatives, never really the positives. This is a non-denominational church that has 3 services on Sunday morning because they just can't handle everyone at once! It's grown that much! Some might see that as bad but apparently to everyone who attends it's not. That one review about being accosted in the parking lot about leaving........ yeah I think that's being made up. There are a handful of people that always leave early because of other reasons that we won't know. I've left early and never had that happen! In fact the opposite happens. I have so many people wish me a good day when I left early. My wife and I attended one service and that was all it took for us to keep going there and have that be our new home church. I'll be sad when I have to leave because it's always hard to find a church you like. Don't use mine or anyone else's review of this place to make up your mind, go there, see what it's like and you choose what you want to do. read more

I love COTM! This is a Spirit filled church where I feel fed every Sunday! I found a church where I don't feel lost in the herd, but like I'm part of a family. A come as you are church meaning not to let your sins, your wardrobe, or your past dealings with other churches keep you from the Loving, Life-changing Word and Presence of God! My children love this Church and have learned how to pray and seek God for themselves! I've had two family members and two teenaged friends decide to be baptized and dedicated their lives to Christ after feeling His Love and Presence while visiting this Church! This is for the daycare, Kids on the Move. The intent is good but the reality is just not on par with my expectations. I have a 17mth old there and while he was loved by everyone there, SOME of the facility and the staff are not top quality. Examples: When we decided to go to a place that has a curriculum, my husband told the Director that we wanted to leave in a week, so she promptly said there was someone else to replace my son. Never did she bother to mention that we were supposed to give them two weeks so the next thing I see is another $225 charge on my credit card. When my husband called her to ask her why she didn't say anything (because he would have just left my son there for another week), she gave us one of our "vacation," weeks back and I still had to pay $115 for the week he was not there. They ruined several pairs of pants and shirts by somehow sitting my son down on some type of bleach so there are bleach marks all over the backs of some of his pants. His shirts, they allowed him to eat foods that stain without a smock that stained his collars and do art with permanent or staining markers! We also had several instances of quite a few diapers being taken - stolen - and the staff knew it. We kept bringing diapers and over the weekend (usually) we would come back to one diaper being left after we had brought entire packs. We had a serious discussion with the director when we first started because some of the caretakers did not seem qualified, or suited, to take care of young children. They promptly addressed many of those issues and I will gladly edit these comments to provide a fair and objective assessment but them not giving us the remainder of our last week's payment back is really the cherry on the sundae, enough for me to write this. Again, all good people with (mostly) good intent, but just not well-equipped for parents who want their infants and toddlers to engage in a full spectrum learning environment. read more

My family and I have been members at Move Church (formerly COTM) for about 8 years. I love Ps Mark and Lady Chantelle McLeod. They are both very humble and love to serve the people that come through those doors. They preach the gospel of Christ and live what they preach. I have never felt forced to give money at Move Church. In fact, Ps Mark rather challenges you to trust God and His word when you give or don't give at all. The church does a lot of outreach work in the community and outside the country as well. I am happy to call the McLeods my pastors and Move Church my home. read more

My first review was removed for reasons unknown to me. Regardless, our visit to Church on the Move was not a positive experience. The praise and worship was a bit bland but we most certainly did not enjoy the sermon from the pastor. Which was basically an apology for their Faith. (Something that is disturbingly common among many churches in the area). We decided to leave before the service was over, which we were fine with. Unfortunately we were accosted by a member of the staff in the parking lot challenging us and questioning us about our decision to leave. We did not want to make a big deal out of our decision, and obviously the Church has a congregation, so we politely declined to get into a discussion about our decision to quietly exit. The man was somewhat confrontational in his tone and I felt it was a bit excessive given that a Church should be a welcoming environment for all. Had we not been accosted, we probably would have forgotten the whole ordeal entirely. Unfortunately that was the last straw and what drew me to composing this review. I would not recommend this church to any of our friends. read more

We had a great experience here this Sunday. My whole family felt very warm and welcomed and we absolutely loved the motto: "The perfect church for people who aren't" I read a couple other reviews regarding the Childcare service & can't truly speak on that but as far as the church service, youth services, Sunday school and everything else I am very pleased and would certainly recommend this church to others. If you've ever felt outcasted by another church or like you weren't good enough to receive god's word, this is the place for those people who can admit their flaws but won't let their flaws prevent them from worshipping God and receiving fellowship. The music was great too! We will def be going back. I do also want to say that a friend and colleague of mine, Tyshena, was recently hired to work in the full time daycare program, and I feel like she is going to be a great asset to restoring people's faith and trust in the childcare services as well. I started attending COTM in May 2015. God's love is emphasized very much, and the church provides a wonderful environment for worship and prayer. The staff are genuine and caring. There is an open, welcoming atmosphere, and the strong leadership of the church is meant to establish a sense of community, direction, and purpose in God's will. Our daughter (16 months) has been going to KOTM for almost a year now and she loves it. We will be relocating soon, and it breaks my heart to think of leaving KOTM. We cannot say enough good things about the center and it's staff. Our daughter truly loves going there every day. Our daughter wakes up every morning and yells her teacher's name with pure excitement and cannot wait to begin the day by running to her favorite teacher and giving her a hug. When we pull into the parking lot each morning my daughter is smiling from ear to ear, she runs into the school with the biggest smile on her face and says "hi" to everyone on her way. Each person greets her by name and is so very welcoming each morning. In the afternoons, when I go to pick her up, again she is smiling from ear to ear and she says "hi mommy, hi daddy" as she runs to give us a hug. She then hugs each teacher goodbye and smiles as we walk away. As I'm sure every working mom can relate, we don't think anybody can do a better job than us watching our babies, however, if you are choosing to put them in a day care or if you are in a position to have to, there is no better feeling then having your little one so very happy to go to the place you have so carefully chosen. I call the center every day to check on my little princess, sometimes multiple times a day, they have never acted as if that is a bother at all. They are always more than happy to talk to me about my daughter and are always very informative with what's going on with her that day. When she's fussy or just not quite acting like yourself I'll get a call or text explaining what's going on, giving me the ability to make the decision on whether or not I need to pick her up, this peace of mind is irreplaceable. Her teachers are incredible! They paint with her, sing with her, play with her and read with her. All things she has grown to love because of them. They have even sent us little videos of her doing cute things, for example, when they first taught her to say "oh oh SpaghettiOs" I got a video from the teacher that melted my heart. It's the little things like this that are in fact HUGE and can put a mom's mind at ease. Sure like with any center you are going to be able to find things that are not quite perfect or done exactly the way you want them to be done. However, there isn't a missing diaper, a stained shirt or a ruined pair of pants that means more to me then that smile I mentioned she has on her face EVERY day. At the end of the day my child's well-being and her happiness is what's most important. Leaving this center is the most difficult aspect of our family's relocation. To whoever is reading these reviews and considering KOTM, if you are looking for a center that your child will smile on their way in and smile on the way out, this is the place for you. If you want a place that they will feel at home and can grow, learn and love you have found the place. To KOTM: Thank you for giving my husband and I faith that we can find a center that will truly love our daughter. Thank you for making her feel comfortable and for teaching her what you have. Church on the Move is a friendly and welcoming church. I enjoyed the relaxed environment and didn't feel I was at some fashion show. They call themselves "The perfect church for people who aren't" I love that! I have been to churches where I felt I had to look or dress a certain way to fit in.... I didn't feel like that here. They clearly love their children and young adults. The graduation celebration yesterday was like nothing I've ever seen. I wish I had a church like this when I was starting out in life. I didn't feel "pressured" or "hounded". I will definitely be returning to Church on the Move. read more

After reading some of the reviews, I have to say I'm little shocked by some of the reviews. From blaming the center because you didn't read your handbook that tells you about the policies, to accusing someone of giving out alcohol to underage people. When we take our children to day cares, all of us are given a handbook that goes over the polices regarding removing our children from the center. It's a shame that some don't bother read those handbooks but lay blame on the center for charges they incurred after withdrawing their child. I find it also a bit discerning that someone would actually go as far to name someone about giving under age people alcohol. My question to them is, were you there when this took place? Because if you were, then you're no better then the person you're accusing. If you weren't there, then you're posting a review based on someone's gossip and don't know for sure it's true. That comment in particular left a bad taste in my mouth as coming from someone who had a vendetta against that person they're accusing and perhaps was a disgruntled employee at one time. Very immature to say the least. When we put our children in the care of others, I understand that there may be times when were not always happy, but to post reviews about charges, that are your responsibility to know about, is irresponsible on your part. The staff at this facility are all well trained in their fields and perhaps they might not always do the things you as the PARENT do, there is no need to come across as thinking they're incompetent. No matter how much a day care facility may try, sometimes there is just nothing they can do ease the minds of parents who simply hate having to put their child in a day care to begin with.
