Terrible customer service. Had to cancel because of a death in the family- was shut down due to a 72 hour cancellation policy. Show some compassion to your customers. Understandably so they are not a chain or corporate establishment, but this has happened before with a much larger corporation and they took care of us with no questions asked.. Even asking if there was anything they could do to accommodate our next stay with them. And for the record, Sandy, no one lied about getting confirmation. Even if there was confirmation, when a human being is in distress over the loss of someone- they're first reaction isn't to scour they're email for supposed confirmation to look for your 72 hour cancellation policy. It's probably best to not call a customer a liar after you are swiping their money greedily. Also, hanging up on a customer is extremely distasteful and quite an ugly thing to do. I would describe this interaction as mean and disrespectful. I'd say I'd never recommend this "resort" to anyone but in the long shot that I have people coming that way, I will tell them to steer clear of Mountain View Resort. read more
