The response from the administration, such as city police and campus security, felt overly excessive and dismissive of student concerns. They used excessive force on me and took my property away without a warrant. I exercised my rights. President Astrid Tuminez appears disconnected from the student body and has demonstrated some genuine care, but not really that much. The university should take accountability for how it treats students and ensure that everyone's constitutional rights are respected on campus. Don't waste your money by going here. I feel ashamed for every recommending this school to anyone. It's a scam because it's not a fun experience to go here, unless you want a police and corrupt politician nanny school and want to waste your time and money. There's many other low cost options out there. Please, learn from my mistake!!!!! Especially if you're a straight person and not LGBTQ. They will discriminate against your size and gender and call security on you and discrimante against your race.

Beautiful college! Horrible student services. I am (or was…read moresupposed to be) an incoming freshman with a complex medical and living situation, so I emailed the residency office with a detailed explanation of my circumstances to determine which residency path I qualified for. Over the course of four months, the person handling my case repeatedly ignored information I had already provided, persistently recommended residency paths that did not apply to my situation, and treated my case like that of any typical residency applicant despite the medical circumstances I had disclosed from my very first email. Even though I was repeatedly assured that my extenuating circumstances case "should be sufficient enough," I spent four months revising physician letters based on feedback from the residency office, gathering documentation, attending appointments, and incurring additional expenses, only for someone to finally recognize that the extenuating circumstances policy I had been encouraged to pursue did not legally apply to my situation in the first place. By that point, I had already lost four months, my $300 enrollment deposit (because residency denial is not grounds for a deferral), and was left with no meaningful solution other than withdrawing and taking a gap semester with no guarantee of residency afterward or paying WUE tuition, despite being legally domiciled in Utah and following every instruction I was given. I am extremely disappointed by the poor communication, lack of training, failure to review the information I provided from the beginning, and the refusal to offer any meaningful solution after months of incorrect guidance. This entire situation could have been avoided had my case been competently reviewed from the start.

To start, the Dean, Angela Lindley, and Assistant Dean, Doran Sorenson, are great educators and people overall. They really "whipped this program into shape" to be completely blunt. They truly care about the success of the students and were always available whenever I needed study advice. They both have impressive backgrounds in the nursing field & did a great job of incorporating real-life situations into our lessons. I went through a lot of health issues during the program and they both were very supportive and helped me to not fall behind in the program. The program is tough, and they have high expectations, but they know that real-life problems occur, and they are there to work with you and support you when you need them. Lastly, the final semester Professor, Nikkie King, is absolutely incredible. She is very familiar with ATI and knows how to prep you for the NCLEX. My confidence in my nursing skills & knowledge soared significantly because of her help & support. Nursing School was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I am beyond grateful for the supportive environment at Provo College for helping me through. Some other cool things about the program: - Live Simulation labs - Virtual Reality labs -ATI live Week - "Senior Day" - Help with job placement/great career services staff

I was even able to take a break during the pandemic when life got TOO busy and return a year later to finish my doctorate while working full-time in a busy rural primary care clinic. The faculty truly understand the demands of healthcare professionals (being medical providers themselves) and went above and beyond to support students balancing work, life, and education (and for some, family). Completing my doctorate online while staying connected with classmates (many new friends) made all the difference. Thank you, RMU, (a special thank you Dr Rust) for your dedication and for letting me be part of such a great program!
