I do not know if it was the discount or if it was something else but this place treated us horribly. We had to call to have the chairs delivered with the sign in book to my mother's home. There was never a wreath or slow funeral signs in place. Also the obituary was given on a Saturday and not online until Monday after he was buried. The only person to blame is the guy running the place and his name is Greg. Greg treated us very unfairly and we have no idea why. My father worked there and was treated as badly as it gets. The only thing done right was the way he was presented for the viewing. The secretary Peggy was lovely and some of the other workers like Chris were very accommodating. However at the end of the day I was shocked and appalled at how our family was treated. My father worked there for 12 years and we were treated like trash. How will this place treat your family if they do not even know them?

A picture of the marker was provided via email. Once the granite stone was completed, it was delivered to Chesnee SC. site. We received a call saying that they could not accept the stone marker. The marker is a higher quality stone with lasered print and picture. All their reasons for declining the stone were all ready stated to Carrie before ordering. I do not trust this company and they are very deceptive in dealing with the customer. I would not want any of my loved ones buried there.

Fenced in (one corner seems to have been impacted by a vehicle), the cemetery is in good shape. There are a number of markers that are rather illegible but some of the granite ones are fine. According to Findagrave.com, the most famous person here is Alfred Lee Bulwinkle who was elected to the US Congress and served from 1921 to 1929 and then again from 1931 to his death in 1950. Once we got the news of the passing of our beloved, I was then tasked with finding a suitable funeral home to provide the services what we will need during this difficult time. As a family member who lives out of state I decided to Google and thru my research I chose to contact the Wright Funeral Home. I am so happy and blessed that I made the correct choice. I called and left a message and Mrs. Wright returned my call promptly and with an empathetic ear she advised me of my options, and also provided info that was of a great help to us. I could tell she knew what she was talking about as her experience oozed over the phone and I was then confident in her handling our loved one's final arrangements after just one call and speaking on the phone to her. She was amazing from start to finish. We submitted the obituary & pictures to them and they did a wonderful job. My family had more face to face dealings with Mrs. Wright and her staff and they all sang praises of how they all were very professional and on point with all things that needed to be addressed. Being a lifelong resident with deep roots; I'm always on guard and trying to locate some long passed relative. I'm certain I did so today. I believe I'm a relative of deceased Virgil Harris. From the time I was born until my rebellious fifteenth birthday I went to church here. Several times a year I visit the graves of family and church folks who were instrumental in my Christian upbringing. There are 799 documented burial sites here. The folks who were laid to rest at this place have an indelible place in my memory and heart as I knew a lot of them. Cherokee Creek Baptist Church is doing a wonderful job!
