Since COVID-19 we were unsure of what we could discover that would be safe and interesting for them. We were amazed at our Outside In experience! Every level of climber is accommodated. The staff cheered on the young, tentative climber while also showing our "bell-ringer" how to reach all the bells at the end of the climbs. This facility was very safe. Again, the owners seemed to be concerned not just with providing a fun activity but doing it in a quality way. Thanks for your contributions to the "Best Grammie Camp ever!" :) Of course, we also partook in the mini-golf and desserts in the same location. All excellent.

They did a good job putting up information and learned so much about what it was like to work here for the railroads way back when. It's incredible how times change, things become more efficient, jobs are reduced, and eventually eliminated. I spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes here for reference. There is a gift shop where I got my usual souvenir magnet, but there are other neat things here as well! I was tempted to buy the "dining on the railway" book (or a name something like that). A great piece of history here and I hope someday the interiors of the buildings can be brought up to code and replicated to look how they did in their heyday so we can get a real feel of walking into the businesses (also a rebuild of the Lafayette Hotel would be amazing, even if just a smaller scale). I'm glad what is there has been preserved by the NPS! I have to say, I left West Virginia with a treasure trove of history!

They refused to sell us balls because we weren't playing that course. The parking lot was empty except for 2 cars and the whole range was empty. It's a Monday at 9:30am so of course they aren't going to be busy. Now from a PGA member side. As a PGA member, golf courses almost always take care of other PGA members with free rounds, range balls, and discounted merchandise. I wasn't asking for anything free, just wanted to purchase a bucket of range balls. Glade is nothing special at all. I have worked at multiple top 20 courses in the nation and played almost all top 30 courses in the nation for free and Glade can't even SELL me range balls??? Truly shows how stuck up they are. Golf Digest doesn't even have this place ranked top 5 in the state and they think they are special. Would love a call one day asking to host some players from their course just so I can laugh in their face.
