We needed the police numerous times in last several years, coming to our home or at other…read morelocations. They were always professional and courteous. They also followed the law to the spirit and letter. They were not always able to do what we wanted them to do, but it was the right thing. I also was in the second class of community members who learned about our local police, and helped the department in various ways. My admiration for these selfless men and women only grew. I would recommend the experience to anyone in the community. It will expand your knowledge of police service, and give you an intimate view of the City of Livermore.

I tell you if I could rate this at a -0 stars I would do it time and time again…read more Unbelievable, and quite frankly extremely disappointing. It took three calls before they decided to drop by. By this point, not only had the person, which the ring camera picked up, ripped the camera off the front of my home, but he had walked up to the Amazon driver at as he was getting off the truck with my packages and snatched my packages out of the driver's hand and ran off with them. By this point, I placed my third phone call to the police at the Amazon driver speak with the police to state what had taken place and then they decided to drop by. The reason why I referencing it as a drop by is because that's exactly what the officer did. He approached the scene already with his own opinion. He refused to speak with Amazon driver to get a statement from him regarding my packages., six packages total. In addition, he refused to look at the damage done to the house where the camera was ripped out of the wall. The person that actually took the packaging as well as the ripped the camera came back, spoke with the police and the police told him you're good you can leave. He turned his aggression towards me, demanding my name, my date of birth, and my social un fucking believable. I asked him why did he need it and he said that he needed to do a report however he failed to take a statement from the Amazon driver. He failed to get the name, date of birth and Social Security number of the person that committed to crime so I'm just really puzzled as to how thorough is this so-called report is gonna be. At this point I told him there was no need to have my name and my date of birth because his investigation is a flop. I've never been a person to think bad about the police given all the crap that's been in the news regarding them beating up people getting caught on camera just committing their own type of crime ruining peoples lives left and right I still just never formed that negative opinion towards them. This however, has changed my mind. The after was very aggressive towards me and did not want to hear nothing. I had to say in fact every time I spoke 3 to 4 words he'd cut me off. He basically said to me when I refuse to give him my date of birth we're done and walked away. This is someone that took an oath to promise to protect and serve the people clearly he's in it just for a paycheck.... Easy money. I asked him for his name and his badge number. He refused to give it to me. I asked again and again he still refused to give it to me finally spatting it out on the third try. I asked him if I can request a supervisor on scene he told me there was no supervisor available I tell you all the chitter chatter that's world around policeman and their department, I have to say I am now a believer.

The Milpitas Police department is the epitome of why Milpitas is a great town to live in. Every…read moresingle time I call they respond within 30 minutes. One time my son tested the new VOIP phone by dialing 9-11 and then hung up. Little did we know, just by doing that, they sent police officers to check on our well-being. Good luck getting police to respond to you within 3 hours or at all if you're in San Jose and calling for help for anything short of a murder. The police station is also a great place to meet up to sell on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace.

Thanks Officer Pizzo! Proceeding that, the visit to the police station or the records office was pretty efficient (granted that you arrive first thing in the morning). The two times I made a trip here last month, there was like one other person (s) ahead of me, but each encounter was quick and no long waits if you call their line. Parking at the MPD is not a problem, depending on the time of day you come in. My biggest gripe is that MPD charges you $15 for a CD your laptop or CD player doesn't recognize. Or maybe it's just my laptop. But that's why it's important to take your own pictures and videos at the scene of an accident, crime, photo-op, etc. Also MPD charges for paper copies of your report when everything is digital nowadays! This is my hometown and I've lived in Milpitas since the first grade (or early 90s) and as an adult, I can say I feel pretty safe in Milpitas, thanks to our community of police officers, admin, fire and EMTs. We are protected because of your commitment to our safety (and have a sense of normalcy in our diverse community). As always, thank you!
