She took X-rays and told me what she had found, and cleaned my teeth. A few days later. Dr. Derick did work on a tooth, and he gave me Novocaine with gentleness. It was the best visit to a dentist in years. A crown was put in place a week later. The Snares are very professional, they quietly do their work, and explained each move. It is a quiet place, without the constant noise in other places. Thank you Drs. Derick Jillian.

Being 60 years old some of my fillings that were put in 45 years ago were leaking and needed to be re-done. I had one tooth that had 3 cracks in it (which I could feel) It needed a crown. They did the crown first as it was needed the most. It was quite a procedure and I am not overly fond of having dental work done because of being hurt in the past by other dentists. These dentists showed me on the x-rays where the problem was and talked to me on how they were going to do the procedure. The way they handled the novocaine and making sure I didn't feel anything was wonderful. They are really up-to-date on new and improved methods of dentistry. One of my replaced fillings, that they redid, looked so good that I really couldn't tell it even had a filling. I think they are a real asset to the Brandon Community. Now a heads up to patients with hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos, and to…read morepatients with depression/anxiety for whom having to manage doctors' emotions for them is a barrier to care. Dr. Pinto has multiple patients with EDS, and puts in the time and effort to adjust her care for the ways the disorder impacts tooth and gum health. Finding my nerves for filling replacement has always been a trial for dentists. As is common in EDS, I go through anesthesetic quickly and variably depending on anaesthetic type and dose. I've worked closely with Dr. Pinto to figure out how to get me numbed up effectively. I also want to give a shout-out to her straightforwardness in working with patients with severe anxiety and depression. It's really common to have to expend precious energy reassuring medical professionals who are uncomfortable with the idea of depression/anxiety. (This is a significant boundary to medical care for folks dealing with these issues.) Not so with Dr. Pinto. Upon learning about the depth of my partner's profound depression/anxiety, all she had to say was "you're on meds? You're working with professionals? Good. So about your teeth..." And that was it. No pity, no fear, no need to manage her emotions and expectations. Again, five stars, A+, best sustained dentistry experience of my life, recommended to everyone who will sit still long enough for me to tell them about her.
