Nice park, they always have activities for adults and children and would recommend for anything wanting to go to classes there.

Love the trails! You can spend all day. Shared by moutain bikes club who maintain the trails. Nice pond with gazebo in the center. Nirvana.

It's easily accessible from Atlanta and the surrounding areas. I've been visiting RTMSP for the past few years. Even though there are lots of visitors, it's large enough that it doesn't feel crowded. Their hiking trails are well groomed, scenic with light elevations. The Iron hill Loop is about 4 miles. It meanders around a bit of Lake Allatoona so you'll catch gorgeous lake views and a bit of boating activities too. The Homestead Trail is little longer, just under 6 miles with rolling elevation. It lends more inland hardwood forests than Iron hill Loop but it also has lovely views of Lake Allatoona along its loop part of the trail. Their where am I markers aren't the best but it's easy enough to figure it out. Their blazes are better. I've seen several woodpeckers, deer and many squirrels, identified a few mushrooms I hadn't encountered before here. They DO charge $5/car for PARKING unless you have an annual pass. Be sure to prominently display it inside your dash even if you do not go through a ranger station or the visitor center. They do ticket. RTMSP is a pleasant park to visit. It's a restorative environment to just catch a breath.
