Once all the panicking has subsided by my Mother certainly not Dr. Capper, a calming comment of "I'll follow up on Thursday to see how we are progressing", is enough to let you know your being cared for by professionals who truly care. Thank you for attending today an excellent response to my initially morning email, I received an initial phone call from Dr. Capper who then attended early afternoon, I then received a confirmation text from Dr. Capper reporting the prescription had been sent to Pharmacykwik, a quick call to Muckram who also provides a spectacular service he assured me Mum would have her prescription later today. Now who couldn't fail to agree the team at Urban village along with the support of our Pharmacies are delivery a truly awe-inspiring service. Thank you again for supporting my Mother and I.

I felt very special, desk at 9 am and she was super busy, she also said goodbye to another gentleman. I was also greeted by Matt who was walking past, he is super impressive and always says hi for a few seconds. I love the ease of contacting via forms, I know Dr. Greenlaw was very busy today but within filling out the form, she saw me face to face at 9 30 am. I wish all the other surgeries would follow this surgery examples. I get an amazing care and treatment here.

The Vallance Centre is purpose build for the needs of local people and it really shows. Whereas the Brunswick Health Centre felt rushed and under pressure, the Vallance site appears sleek and calm. You can sign up in a couple of days and most people won't have to give a full medical although they may take some blood and urine samples for their records. There is also a useful online booking service. The centre is modern and clean, but if you want a more family oriented practice I'd head to Surrey Lodge which has a more 'traditional feel'. Most people who live in the University/Ardwick area will find they are within the geographical zones for both. They also now offer the following services: Accupuncture Asthma Clinic Cardiovascular Screening Clinical Smears Child Health Counselling Diabetic Clinics Dietary Advice District Nursing Drug Clinic Health Visiting Maternity Medical Services Minor Surgery Nurse Triage Over 75 Checks Physiotherapy Private Medicals Screening Services Smoking Cessation Travel Clinic Well Person Clinic Wart Clinic

If you had a weight problem, you could burn a fair few pounds off walking to the Surgery from some of the less central halls of residence. I signed up to be a patient here in my first week of University, and have only had to visit once, and that was when I was taking care of a friend. From her account, the care taken by the staff and partners here was exemplary, and she enjoyed the experience as much as she could, considering her circumstances! From my point of view, sat in the waiting room, I thought that the venue was a fantastic choice for a Surgery. It does not feel overly 'surgical', and it definitely works in the favour of the partners, as there is not a pressured atmosphere when waiting for an appointment. You can book appointments online through their website, which is very handy when you are planning for an appointment in advance. Otherwise, the schedule can become very busy, and you may have to wait a while for an emergency appointment. The Centre also offers a wide range of different medical-related services, including Acupuncture. Hopefully, I wont have to visit the Vallance Centre much, although, if I do, at least I know where it is, and know that it is not like a small extension of God's Waiting Room. For a surgery, it is as good as it could be.

I waited over six hours for a simple blood test and never received the results. As bad as that is, the conditions in the waiting room were far worse. There was wet vomit on the floor, dried and fresh blood on chairs and tiles, and the staff barely attempted to clean any of it. They completely ignored basic CDC/OSHA infection-control standards--no proper PPE, no hospital-grade disinfectant, no isolation of contaminated areas, and no biohazard procedures for bodily fluids (which are considered potentially infectious materials in every credible medical setting). The staff in the waiting area seemed untrained and unengaged accept to make jokes about the patients..People in obvious distress received no assistance, basic triage didn't exist, and questions were answered with confusion or incorrect information. The lack of professional etiquette, urgency, or even basic competence was shocking. A medical facility should be clean, safe, and staffed by professionals who understand patient care. This place was the opposite. It felt like a butcher shop disguised as a healthcare facility--and the patients are the meat. And honestly, a real butcher shop would have handled blood and sanitation far better. If you value your health or safety, avoid this place. What I witnessed was unsanitary, unsafe, and far below any acceptable medical standards.
