Better access to electrical plugs would be nice to accommodate charging of phones etc. especially by the bed. The restaurant, well where to start. Decor is dated but at least it's clean. The service while friendly enough was incredibly slow. The food is ok, homemade bread for the toast which is nice. Too 15 minutes before someone even came to take an order, still waiting for coffee. Other tables have gotten theirs but being a single traveller at a table apparently puts you on the bottom of the pecking order while the server takes care of the locals. Hideaway lounge now. Not open on Sunday's and seems to be the place to go to play the VLTs. Only one server who was also serving the dining room. Good happy hour prices though. Had a burger two nights in a row. The best part of the stay, the burger really was very good. Overall, for a small town with limited options the Albatross is a safe choice. Clean and prices aren't too bad. Improvements at the service level would be very welcome. Just because you are cheerful and friendly doesn't mean I need to wait 30 min before my coffee even shows up. Better service would have gotten a three star review.

Place was nice. Clean and good rates. The staff was very friendly. Only reason I don't give it 5…read morestars was because I there is no music in the lobby. Every hotel always has music. Even if it's a little speaker playing some music. It's nice for guest to hear something in the lobby while waiting for people or checking in. Hope they get some tunes soon.

I am a conneseur of various foods I search far and wide for the ultimate experiences of flavor. I met my match the other day. I was greeted kindly, the staff were all excellent, and I could joke around with them too. The chef would come out and chat with me whenever he had time which was very good. The decor and atmosphere is great, krock was playing in the background but not too loud, I love classic rock, not the modern stuff being blasted in most places. The craft beers are unique, and I had to get a glass jug filled full of an ale with notes of fruit and fresh hops. In the gift shop the best muscle I've ever eat, a variety of sauces and sea salts, among other things. But the main thing the meal: I ordered the tomahawk steak dinner... The beef is obviously Angus and fed well to have great marbling (only a few points below wagyu/kobe) with lean muscle of sirloin quality. It was cooked souse vide for maximum tenderness and seared with a compound butter. When I bit into the first slice i cut it was an explosion of flavor and juices through my entire mouth and some of it dripped down off my lips, absolutely amazing, It was a climax of flavor like on food wars the animation. I'm not a huge lover of carrots and vaggies but whatever was done with them put a fantastic taste on them. The caramelization of the mushroom and onion was done separately because they cook at different rates, the onion had its natural taste but was also sweet with a unique flavor that coats the pallet. The mushrooms were another explosion of flavor that I can barely describe, regular mushroom deliciousness x1000. To top it all off the chef brought me extra compound butter to dip things into, which just made the flavors overwhelming and got me to try a fish sauce? of sweet peppers that blew my mind as a fish lover too. In conclusion 10/10 5 stars I will be back, and when I gets a woman and a few dollars I'll be staying put for a while and see what the suites are like.
