Update: Maggie You continue to not tell the whole truth. When I came in to pay my deposit in person you couldn't find my file so your staff went to an email thread to find a down payment amount. I handed you my drawings that came directly from my contractor to show the measurements as the original email I sent was just a request for pricing and was never an order. You never sent me an order form or a request for signature for the order you were going to make so I had no way to verify your order. I was in your office and was not provided an order form for signature because you couldn't find my file. So when did I agree or confirm the order you made out of haste when I caught you misplacing my request in the first place. When you admit to not ordering my glass for 3 weeks here on Nextdoor this is not what you told the Credit Card company or the BBB you told them it was a supplier issue not an oversight of your staff. So when I came in and provided you with drawings and paid the down payment in person I can see how you misplaced my drawings because you couldn't find my physical file and I should have written my address on the drawings so if they did get misplaced they could find the proper job address. I never once admitted to making a mistake in ordering the glass like you have told the BBB because in my email I stated the miter of the glass would be on this side or panel, I never once agreed to or ordered a specific mitered edge. So this one email to get pricing was never my order and as you try to say it was my fault you have never been able to produce an order or invoice where I agree to the glass you were ordering and the edge that would be mitered. Yes I was upset that you ordered my glass incorrectly and it took 3 months to get my glass delivered because you lost my order and instead of verifying the order you rushed to a conclusion because you already made a mistake of not ordering my glass until I called and inquired what the status of my glass order was. These were all problems that were out of my hands and any professional company would require or at least offer the customer a final order to approve so that any assumptions would be cleared up by a customer signature. It is clear to me that when you were found to have lost my order in the first place you rushed my order without doing your due diligence and made an assumption on what I needed and now you would like to blame that on me. We had 19 phone calls in that 3 months and I sent pictures of the project so you could estimate the cost of installation. Never once did you verify what you were ordering. You made many mistakes and you don't want to admit to your part in the glass being ordered incorrectly. You just cherry picked a couple of emails as your reasoning for why you ordered the glass in the size you did and tried to avoid all the other information that brings into question your responsibility for the glass being ordered incorrectly. Just because you have been in business for 46 years does not make you infallible and your lies to cover up your mistakes show your true customer service. You not taking any responsibility for your errors is why we couldn't come to an arrangement to rectify the situation. You could not be trusted read more

Well, I called yesterday for service need to get my fiberglass windows that go out to my deck, reinstalled as the gas had leaked out. To my happy surprise two young men showed up at 11 AM in an hour and a couple minutes. I have used Moule Glass in Auburn over many years. I've had a number of poor experiences. Why I keep going back I don't know. Most recently the reception counter was a cold and rude experience. Totally poor customer communication even rude. In the past they have not been very skilled in helping me find the best options for products, in service work or installation. It's a locally owned business so I wanted to try them out. The woman I spoke to over the phone, was knowledgeable and gave good instructions. I removed my window and took it over to them to have the glass replaced. The glass replacement only took two weeks, the price was quite reasonable and their customer service is outstanding. These guys are the BEST. We bought our house in 1984 and had them replace all the windows with double pane and they did an excellent job. Over the years we have had 2 windows that need repairs ( not bad for 34 years) and they came out and replaced or repaired at a minimum cost. I highly recommend Grass Valley Glass. got a piece of fireplace glass. went in thursday, got it monday. they forgot to cut it and i had to wait 10 minutes on monday for them to do it on the spot. instead of apologizing and attempting to keep me as a customer, they did nothing, ended up paying over the value of the glass. This also included several calls over the weekend to see if they had finished the job, they never responded to my calls. On thursday they said they would contact me friday with it completed, which is why I was confused I never heard from them. Family owned, but, this family is not worth supporting. don't seem to have much respect for for their customers. have odd hours, and enjoy their weekends, while youre forced to take a day off during the week to see them, they think its hiarious and would rather be closed on the weekends. absolutely spoiled small business owners that take advantage of their captured audience. Recently had the clear ceramic "glass" replaced on our wood stove door. Was quoted 2 week turn-around because they were "really busy." Never received any updates about the order status when the expected completion date came and went. I had to call for updates, only to be told on two different occasions that they were really busy with other customers and didn't have time to take care of our order so there would be yet ANOTHER delay. Finally, after getting really upset with them over the phone upon being told that they probably wouldn't get the glass installed till the following week because they were so busy, they managed to take care of the installation within 30 minutes. Sad to say I will not do business with Moule's again, despite having grown up in the area and ALWAYS buying local! The repairman came out to give me an estimate on a window replacement and while working at my house closed another window so tightly that I couldn't open it! When I called to pay for the replacement window I politely asked the customer service rep to have the repairman come out to my house to unstick the window that he damaged because I couldn't open it and he also took the other window's damaged balance so I counldn't open any window in the room I was told, "that they have many customers and I would have to wait 7-10 business days until the replacement window was being installed and she she would not send someone out because they were TOO BUSY to deal with small matters and I'd have to just prop open the window." I told her the windows were floor to ceiling windows and it was in my 20-month old son's room and it wasn't safe to prop the window open and the reason I needed a replacement window was because my older daughter went through the window and I was trying to avoid another injury. I was told, "too bad." So I needless to say cancelled my order! Not happy customer!!!!!!! read more

I've had 2 bad experiences with Moule's. 1st. 2 years ago, I had them replace my patio sliding glass window which had "fogged" up. Cost of approximately $500.00. After they replaced the window and reinstalled the frame in the window case, it no longer fits properly. The slider frame and case now hit upon closing. 2nd. This past month, my contractor just sub contracted Moule's out to replace my "bay" window glass. 5 pieces total. Cost of approximately $1,000.00. It consisted of 2 up and down windows on the side and one large window in the middle. They did not properly attach the "spring" that holds up the slider on one window. You need a "special" tool to properly install it. I called them and they said it would be 2 weeks to look at it and it would probably become a new contact with them, meaning that it is going to cost me. After looking on "You tube", I made my own special tool and fixed what they left undone. I had to complete their job. I did call my contractor and complained to him about their work and suggested that he look else where for glass sub contractors. He agreed. read more
