Last year I decided to take a motorcycle course. I called around to a few schools but unfortunately the season had already started and most places were booked up. I talked to James at Motology and they still had room available. Before taking the course I had never been on a motorcycle. By the end I felt safe and confident riding. I took the 3 day course. The first day was a few hours in the classroom with Rebecca going over basics and fundamentals. The other 2 days were on the lot and practicing on the bikes. The last few hours of the course were spent riding around the city with Martin and Rebecca and putting the skills I learnt to use. It was nerve racking at first, but I knew I was in good hands and had the proper training for the situation. The one thing that really stood out for me in this course was how much space was available on the lot. At no time did my practices interfere with the other students or them with me. I had tons of room to work on my skills and not have to worry about being on top of someone else. The course was worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle. read more

Having ridden small bikes in Asia decades ago without properly being taught how, I wanted to get back to riding the proper way (read: safely!). So I enrolled in and took the Basic course a couple of weeks ago; classroom, parking lot, and road ride. I was not disappointed. Our instructors were Elle and Matt, riders with a wealth of knowledge and decades of riding experience. They taught the basics of motorcycles and how to ride them, emphasizing safety at every step. I was impressed at how thorough, patient, and approachable they were throughout the course. They were always willing to go over anything they had already explained to ensure we all understood the concepts and the skills being taught, and drew on their own personal experiences to drive home the lessons. I got everything I wanted from attending the course, and whole-heartedly recommend Motology to anyone looking to learn how to ride motorcycles. I will definitely be going back to them again for the advanced course at some point in the future. read more

After 30 years of absent in motorcycle riding. I decided to take riding course to refresh my riding skills. I learned to ride with my buddies back in the day in my country Malaysia. I thought riding is just like riding any two wheels vehicle going from point A to point B. After completing the basic riding course with Motology School, I learned riding rules and techniques that keep me safe and enjoy so much more on riding. After Motology school, I am always alert and confidence and upmost important is keep myself safe on the street. Motology school taught me the foundamental of safety riding skill and right mentality as a rider. Now I can call myself qualified basic safe rider. I am planning to go back to Motology school for advance course next year. I am very pleased with the instructors who are extremely professional and attention to details on making all the students to become a safe rider on the road. Thank you Motology School for your devotion to your student's safety. Sincerely, Andrew read more

So I can't recommend this croud enough if you want to learn how to ride a motorcycle, iv always wanted to learn but never got around to it. I had zero experience and I'm 38. The 3 hour online part was actually quite enjoyable and kept your attention asyou could do it in parts, go to work and comeback and continue on. As I said never been on a bike so I was a small bit nervous...as most are doing something new They went step by step El and Matt were amazing some of the hard stuff I was trying to not do they drove it home untill it got easy. Day 2 I thought we were only going to do the streets in the industrial estate I was mistaken we went on a great spin all around and it really boosted the confidence I couldn't believe I was riding a motorcycle all around town after only 10 hours training. If you have any nerves about not been able to learn these are the people for you.i don't usually leave reviews unless it's well deserved read more

I just completed the two day course with Motology. 1st, I have to say both instructors, Rob and Elle are absolutely awesome. Rob is clearly a great rider with a lifetime of experience to pass on. Elle, we'll what can I say. She is the top tier when it comes to riders. She not only talks the ride, but she clearly rides the ride. Her experience and abilities are amazing. Traveling the world on her bike is a dream for most riders. They should make a documentary of her accomplishments! But what was amazing, was watching brand new riders build the confidence to not only learn to ride, but ride in a group of 10 on the open road. The progression in 12hrs of riding was inspiring to see. Thank you to the instructors and thank you to the participants that, despite the rain, made it very enjoyable. I highly recommend Motology riding school for new or rusty riders. read more

I took the Basic Road Course with Motology about two weeks ago. Elle and Rebecca are great instructors! They are focused on building the students' good habits. They shared a lot of tips and tricks that are helpful on the road. Most of all, they helped me build my confidence on a motorcycle. Since I wasn't able to join the road part of the course, Stacey gave me a call the following week and offered me to join the next class. I am very thankful for another weekend's worth of practice. Elle and Matt were there for us and they are very supportive. Motology's team are wonderful, amazing people and they really care about their students. This definitely makes the motorcycle learning a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend Motology to anyone who is looking to learn how to ride. Thanks so much Motology! read more

I originally chose Motology because they had the most convenient classroom and on bike training schedule for me, and I couldn't be happier that I did. From point of contact, to lot course and road training, everyone was simply amazing. I caused scheduling headache when I had a non bike related accident after my first day of practical training. Stacey was very understanding and accommodating in rescheduling me. Elle and Matt we're great at explaining and demonstrating the exercises we were to do on the bike. With the small class sizes, they could really keep an eye on your progress, and give a little extra one on one time for anyone who needed it. After completing the course, I felt more than ready to face the road test. Can't recommend Motology highly enough. Awesome job folks!! read more

I just attended the weekend session with Motology. I am a very short grandma who has never driven a manual transmission. I have always wanted to learn to ride a motorbike. I was extremely nervous (didn't sleep for a week) but Matt and Rob made me feel comfortable and safe. They pulled me aside when I needed it and gave me great support. I did the course with my son and we had a great time! The final ride was worth all the effort to do the course. Bring lots of water, get lots of sleep but don't worry, you can do this if I can. Google maps struggles to find the range location so just call the office and make sure you know where you are going in advance. You also have to do a 3 hour online class before you go so make sure you complete before you go. read more

Recently I decided that it was finally time to do something that I've wanted to do for years...Start riding a Motorcycle. I randomly chose Motology School for my lessons and after this weekend I sure am glad I did! I can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else. The classroom portion with James was very informative and a lot of fun. James has a crazy knack explaining things in a ways that make it very easy for a beginner to understand. The lot portion with Rob was equally impressive. The instruction was very clear and Robs patience made it easy to relax and concentrate. Motology School is a perfect mix of learning and fun. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to ride. Jason I read more

I took the basic motorcycle riding course this past weekend. I had only ever been a passenger on a bike prior and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of instruction. I was pleasantly surprised that in a span of 12 hours of riding instruction I could be out on the roads and handle myself fairly confidently. I think it was the progressive nature of the steps they teach that make it all make sense very quickly. Every time they would add a task I was apprehensive until I tried it and realized it wasn't ever as frightening as I'd thought it would be. Rob and Rebecca were great instructors. Thanks for being a part of this riding journey with me! Highly recommend this course. read more

Just finished my 2 day course with Matt, Rebecca and Sheldon. Loved every second of the 2 day adventure! Thank you guys for you meticulous attention to detail, especially when it came to safety. Your professionalism impressed me right from the time I registered until the time we finished our training. You were always friendly, helpful and corrected any mistakes we made in a very positive way building our confidence. If anyone needed to learn how to safely operate a motorcycle these are the guys you want teaching you. The foundation they will build for you will last a lifetime! read more

Teachers were fun and very knowledgable. Having lots of experience with off road riding and racing, I sure did learn a lot to apply to street riding and now feel confident enough to take on my road exam! I especially liked how each teacher would take a turn watching you go through a part of the course and individually give you their own tips for that same obstacle from what they each see in your riding. They also have an awesome booking system allowing classes not to fill up right away giving you the opportunity to book in short notices and get riding quicker. read more

Rebecca and Elle are a perfect team! I'm an older rider needing some fine tuning and habit breaking. They pulled this off, no problem. What amazed me was my wife and 3 others had never ridden motorcycles before. They instructed in such an orderly method that after two 6 hour days all 4 were riding in formation through Calgary streets! Thats amazing! This school lives up to its claim that it can teach anyone to ride. I highly recommend Motology for first timers and also for us old timers. Anything less than 5 stars is not good enough. Great job! And thank you! read more

Fantastic experience! This course is a total confidence booster. Great instructors with lots of time on the bikes to build your skills. I found it very helpful when the instructors would pull you aside and provide tweaks along the way whilst everyone else was in the circuit practicing their riding. Very good ratio of instructor to student created an almost semi private feel leading to confidence heading out onto the road. A must do course if you are a new rider and a great refresher if you are just getting back on a bike after a long hiatus. read more

I had an incredible experience at Motology Motorcycle School! The instructor, Matt, was outstanding--his ability to break down complex skills into simple, easy-to-follow steps made all the difference. The class size was small, which allowed for plenty of personalized attention and hands-on practice. You can truly appreciate Matt's expertise and patience as he worked with each of us to ensure we felt confident and safe on the road. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn or improve their riding skills. Thanks, Motology! read more

As a novice with no experience, I took my time and they work with you until you prepared for all kinds of situation and most of all for the road test. In class, it is the same very informative, interactive, and get you prepared and review for the knowledge test if you haven't done one yet. Excellent service and excellent staff. At 44 yrs old after 28 years of "I'll get my bike license next year" I finally got around to doing it, starting with training through Motology first. James was excellent for the classroom portion and Elle was fantastic for the practical bike training both in the compound and on the road. Had a great time and highly recommend Motology if you decide you want to ride. It's never too late and a great start is learning the essentials first with a great school like these fine folks. read more
