I used to take classes at Fitness Movement several years ago. They had a format that provided a complete workout. I've tried several different studios trying to find a studio that had a total body workout. Every studio I've tried left me feeling discouraged. I took Melissa's class at Motivate and WOW, I finally found an instructor who embodies the true Lagree methodology Melissa curates a class that provides a complete comprehensive full body workout. She encourages and motivates each and every person. I left her class feeling encouraged and motivated that I can get back into shape and achieve my goals. Thank you Melissa, I truly love your teaching methodology. read more

This is by far my favorite pilates studio I have tried. Every single instructor is friendly, helpful, and motivating! Each class challenges me and I have noticed myself getting stronger and more confident each class. If you're looking for a great Pilates studio in this area definitely check out Motivate! read more

2 great locations in SCV. Convenient class times and wonderful instructors. I have been a member for over 10 years! read more

VERY upset at what i had to experience at my first time with motivate! first time here booked the first timer class came in excited and right away was given a very dirty look by the instructor Cristina H . she then stated " did you have a class booked!?" i then responded yes its my first time here she then stated she doesn't have me on her list and that id have to find a different class to book and if i could show her proof as i was about to show her she stopped me and said she was not gonna "argue" with me and that she had to teach her class that i was pushing behind it started 1 minute ago. i personally would not want to EVER come back here if thats the way im going to be treated ! read more

Trying out a new studio is always a little intimidating but they were so welcoming. It felt so inclusive. There has been studios where you go and feel out of place but here everyone was so kind and inviting! Will definitely be back :) read more

I just took the Saturday 1215 class with Emily and she's absolutely amazing. If you want a really good workout that helps with your posture and physical strength, she's your girl. She answers all the questions that you need before or after class and she's very good at explaining the movements and adjusts anybody that is unbalanced. I wish she taught a butt class, that would be awesome. Thanks for a wonderful Saturday motivate and Emily.. read more

Make sure you aren't late as they will turn you away!!! Not sure what the safety concern is if you are 5 or 10 mins late! I signed my life away already. Very inflexible facility. read more

My favorite lagree studio ever! Love the instructors, the easy of booking, and the availability. I am super glad I found this place.

My favorite Pilates studio in Valencia. Great instructors who make the class challenging, engaging and fun.

Oh I love this place. Lagree is SO ADDICTING. And also so humbling. But the instructors Kristine and Lexie are there to help you every step of the way. Whether you're new or have been doing it for months, no one ever judges you here. If you ever have any concerns you can just let one of the instructors know and they LITERALLLLYYY get on the machine and show you some modifications to adjust to your body (THANK YOU LEXIE). I feel so much better, stronger, more confident in myself since starting Motivate. Thank you ladies for the jumpstart to my new mindset! read more

extremely rude staff especially CHRISTINA H. don't book with her if you wonder why all her classes aren't booked there's a reason!!! i've never been to a business where the instructor is also doing the receptionist job??? read more

Probably an appropriate time to finally leave a review after all of my obnoxious check ins ^__^. Motivate has been pretty great and super efficient when it comes to scheduling a class. You download their app and book your times from there along with purchasing your memberships. Pretty simple, although getting into phone contact doesn't really exist but really doesn't need to. Go on the site and everything is explained from there. I lowkey drove by here after taking my kid to their league haha i finally gave in and just downloaded the app and tada been hooked for 2 months now. The Instructors!!!- Every single instructor I've met from Emily S / B to Cereza, Crystal and Hannah G are all amazing. They're very motivating in a great way. Personally I'm beginners level and the person next to me maybe super advanced but I enjoy being able to learn from my peers along with the instructor always being able to help correct my form. So what I'm saying if you're beginner don't worry because you're not alone. This isn't a race or competition, you should always go at your speed and progress from there. read more

First time trying out the megareformer and I absolutely love it!! The instructors were helpful in teaching me the basics and the megareformer mechanics. I even got free grippy socks for my first time. I recommend trying this out once if you're bored of regular pilates! read more

If you want a compete body workout I recommend that you take a class with Emily B. It's a tough workout but she gives modifications that you can do. I have so much more muscle now, especially my core. read more

I have been coming for years and Melissa P is not a great instructor. I try to give newer instructors a few classes to see if I like them but every time I went to her class it seemed to go worse. Maybe she should mentor with another instructor or teach a basics class. I am also very sad to see she has taken over the Monday schedule. read more

My favorite kind of workout. The instructors are all very nice. This workout hits every single muscle, even the ones you didn't think existed. Even if I have done lagree over 150 times, it still challenges me each time! read more

Hey, so I can't find the Yelp Event page... but I'd really like to quickly acknowledge Cereza and Julianna and this awesome studio. 2019 has been the year of yes and changes! What a fun and challenging workout, goodness! Cereza had a great pace, a nurturing voice and a patience I appreciated oh so much. I am a total goober and have horrible posture and do not work out regularly and she was so lovely and helpful, pointing me and my backwards body in the correct directions. I kept forgetting to tuck my hips and put my shoulders back, like every time we started a new set, and she would just give me a little reminder. The Lagree method is "pilates, but harder" and this was my first time doing either. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wanted a really solid, full body workout. I have been trying to be continually active (it is Monday and my class was on Thursday), so I'm not nearly as sore as I anticipated I'd be and that's awesome! read more

I signed up for the Pilates class with Lexi on Thursday at noon. The majority of students showed up a few minutes after 12, including myself. It's my first time on the reformer and the business did not advise that I need to bring grippy socks. I asked the instructor can I borrow a pair and she said "no" very short with me. I asked if I could use shoes or go barefoot and response was "no". I understand she wants to start on time, I get it but every other class I've tried gladly offers equipment for first time users whether it's cycling shoes and has been so welcoming and nice. I would have loved to say my first time doing the reformer was great, but Lexi soured my experience and I wouldn't recommend her class. Maybe there are other instructors who would have been patient with a first timer, after all they are using class pass to try and drum up business ,.. how silly to treat first timers like that! read more

I have been coming regularly and attending Natalie's classes. Her classes are extremely challenging, which I enjoy. Moreover, she adjusts her classes based on what the clients need. She worked with me through my many injuries, including giving me alternative exercises when I was experiencing a flareup from old fracture on a lower vertebrae. read more

Love this place!!! The instructor (Christina) is so amazing and welcoming especially for a first timer like me. The only thing i don't like is how sore I am the next day lol. Definitely recommend just beware you will be sore the next day but it's so worth it!! read more

Coming back to say, once again...Emily B. is amazing! I haven't been able to take her class in awhile and last night I was reminded of just how great she is. I haven't felt that challenged in a long time. I left exhausted, but in the best way possible. There is something about her instruction that makes you want to push harder until the very end of class. Can't wait until my next session with her :) read more

Been going since the day it opened in June of 2017. Has changed my body. Probably the best workout i have ever done

Motivate is amazing! After years of looking for something to balance out weight lifting, Motivate has succeeded in taking my fitness to a new level. The classes are always challenging and work muscles I didn't even knew I had and work them in different ways than lifting ever could. The instructors are awesome and always keep the classes positive and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking to challenge themselves in a new and fun way. read more

Best Pilates/Lagree workout in the SCV In my opinion! If you're interested in a small environment. Efficient core, strength, stretching, & cardio all in a 45 min class i recommend this place! Amazing instructors. PS...not just for women read more

Always a little intimidating to try a new place, but the instructors have been very kind. They gave me a quick run down because I had never used the machine before, but one similar. The studio is very clean, they have a water fountain. Bring your own towels though, you'll need it. read more

I've been coming here for about a month now, and Lagree is by far the toughest workout I've ever participated in yet I love coming back for more. The instructors are amazing, and what's best is they made a note under my profile about chronic lower back pain, so each instructor is aware prior to class. That seriously means so much to know they care about you getting a killer workout yet doing it safely! I'm also not a group class kind of girl, but is the first group class I've done where I feel comfortable going to despite the challenge, sweat and shaking. It's amazing and you should give it a go! read more

I'm new to the area, and glad I found Motivate and Instructor Sarah! She's kicks your butt! The equipment is nice and the room is setup perfect. One suggestion, maybe add a heater, it can be a bit chilly in the morning and night classes. Go book a bike with Sarah, you won't be sorry!! read more

I love this new Motivate Studio conveniently located in Valencia! Not only is Lagree a tough (but oh so good and effective) workout method, but Juliana is an amazing instructor who focuses on ensuring each participant is shaking! (A by product of this awesome workout and a sure fire way of knowing it works ). This new studio is very clean, modern and a perfect atmosphere for working out without worry of judgement. I loved Lagree before but I'm obsessed with Motivate Valencia---and it's insanely convenient schedule! read more

The most challenging workout I've ever done! I took my first class with Jessica a year ago and I was hooked with Lagree fitness. Jessica was so attentive and energetic, I was pretty nervous before starting but she quickly calmed my nerves by explaining what to expect. It is a 45 minute workout, but don't be fooled, it is intense and within minutes you will feel the burn, shake and sweat. I always come out of the studio feeling great. This studio is beautiful, clean and modern. read more

My newest addiction. All the trainers are amazing & keep your energy up. Lagree method is a challenge & I love it!! I have seen & felt the changes in my body quickly. I've only been going a few days a week for about a month. A must try. Enjoy the shake :) read more

This is by far the best workout I've had. In 45 minutes you get a full body work out and you feel it!! The instructors are very encouraging/ challenging and super friendly. Hands down the BEST workout EVER!! I am obsessed and in love. Motivate has completely transformed my body & given me a reason to love working out again. Each instructor has their own unique and equally amazing teaching style, constantly pushing each class member to their level of greatness! The workout is hard and doesn't get easier- which I love as I am never bored in a class. If you want a killer body and rock hard abs- highly recommend Motivate!!! Best part of the day is my 45 minutes here!! read more

I have literally tried almost all of the workout places in SCV, but this place is by far the best. I started at Motivate I'm really bad shape, overweight with no strength at all. I was so scared to start my first class but I just bit the bullet and went. Not going to lie the first class was pretty hard and I wasn't able to do anything the first few classes because I literally had no strength, and was around 200 lbs, but I kept working at it and little by little I was able to do what was being taught in class. Now a year later going to motivate, I am so strong, healthy, and happier about achieving my strength goals. My butt is amazing and lifted and my body is banginnnn. If you come here don't get discouraged, just keep working at it and one day something will just snap into place and you'll be really good at the megaformer. The instructors are really nice and motivating and the place is clean and beautiful. Highly suggest. Ps: this place is for both men and women and is a great workout for both sexes. read more

Love this place!! I've been attending classes here for about 2 years, and now it's just about the only place I'll go to workout. I wanted to find something fun & low impact that would really challenge me- I'm an aging athlete, my knees need HELP. These classes wHIPPed me into shape, I feel challenged every time, and most importantly, I always *want* to go because the environment is sparkly clean, warm (socially, not temperature lol), supportive, & not super weight-focused. As someone who used to have an eating disorder for many years, I tend to hate gyms/boot camps/group classes because of the heavy focus on weight loss. But during these classes, the instructors speak a lot about proper form and how to best get stronger. It's really appreciated & puts me at ease! LAST, the instructors always remember your name, and are super personable & encouraging. My favorites are Juliana & Amanda, but I've loved all of my instructors. All the stars! read more

Always been in decent shape, but Motivate has transformed my body and I'm 100% addicted now.

Are you looking for lean muscles, a nice booty and a trim the waist line? If so, this is the class for you! I've been going for 6 months now and the results are absolutely amazing. I'm stronger than ever and can't believe the difference in my body shape. No matter what instructor or class time you take it will be worth it, I promise you! read more
