I have acupuncture a few times a month and James is excellent. If you have never had acupuncture and have a stressful job, you should try it. The first time I went to Central I was a little nervous about having acupuncture because I am not all that crazy about needles. Before we began, James explained how acupuncture works and I was very relaxed when he started. The best part is, I didn't feel the needles at all, but I felt the after effects. I was very relaxed and am very relaxed after all the acupuncture treatments I've received. The spa can be a little hard to find, you have to walk down a little walk way off of Exmouth Market to find it, but when you do find it, it's worth it.

I was hobbled over looking like an elderly person instead of the person I NEED to be to keep up with a 2 year old and a busy life. Things needed to get serious. I made an inquiry with Clerkenwellbeing (I've been to yoga a few times and like the practice, plus its convenient to my office) -- and was seen quickly that same day. I was super impressed with Tom's evaluation and demeanor (very kind and professional), as well as his treatment plan to get my back in shape. Within 6 sessions I was feeling tremendously better and now we are stretching things out a bit longer to see if things continue to go well. Well worth every cent. The office is clean, nice and welcoming. The staff always very professional and friendly as well. They serve yoga, pilates and other alternative therapies within this building as well so it can be a one stop shop to all of your health needs! Appointments are easy to schedule and reminders are sent via text and email. I had to cancel one appointment and did so by replying to the email, no problem. I've found the whole thing very easy (thankfully!) and am grateful for the expert advice and treatments. *if you purchase a block of six sessions you'll get a small discount, worth doing if you'll be in a few times as it also saves you the trouble of needing to process a payment each time. I believe they also offer some of those services like acupuncture, but I can only speak to the yoga. Upstairs from the clinical-ish lobby is a lovely mix of treatment rooms, a library, a changing area, and 3 yoga studios. I've tried their yin and restorative yoga classes and left feeling deeply relaxed, like I'd just had a 45 min nap. Superb! On the more active side, they offer hatha and vinyasa and the lunchtime hatha is a great way to spend 45 mins and return to the office refreshed. The classes are small and simple, no frills, but with lots of personalized attention. I usually go as a part of my Classpass membership, but prices are pretty reasonable at £7/class for new clients.

The referal was quick and the check ups were done to suit me. I've heard sometimes they can be a bit inflexible (pardon the pun) but they have been good with me.
