Howdy folks. How's everyone on Planet Yelp doing? Nasty Nathanial here and it's time for another…read moreone of my "Nasty" reviews. Only this place isn't so nasty, despite the fact that it only has an overall 2 star rating. So without any further delay, let's strap on our safety belts, and blast off because this rocket ship is heading south of the border. So I picked this place randomly not knowing anyone who has ever stayed here before. But the price seemed to be in tact with the amenities listed, such as a restaurant that had a full bar. Hey hey! A hotel that has a full bar is enough to sell me on any day. Plus it was my birthday and I couldn't celebrate this day without some margaritas. It's nice to know that after I've indulged myself in margaritaville i would be able to conveniently walk a short trek back to my room. Now the outside didn't look all that fancy. I mean there was no giant neon sign reading "Hotel Del Rio" or anything like that. After all, this is Northern Mexico, and not Las Vegas. But upon entering the hotel's lobby I immediately felt a peaceful vibe. It reminded of a grand Spanish style villa nestled deep in the country. Of course I didn't see El Chappo puffing on a cigar in the lobby. But a peaceful vibe was there. There was a bit of a language barrier with the lady at the front desk who checked me in. That was to be expected. Since arriving in Navojoa the day before, I quickly came to realize that English is not a commonly spoken language in this town. But despite the language barrier, the lady at the front desk was friendly and made an honest effort to communicate. She pulled up my reservation from Agoda and got me checked in rather quickly. I actually got checked in quicker here than I did at the Safari Inn in Burbank. The room itself was pretty much the way the photos online portrayed it as being. It was a nice spacious room that was clean and had no funky smells creeping out from under dark spaces, unlike at some other places I've stayed at in Tijuana. The bed was nice and comfortable. The shower had nice hot water that came out with a decent amount of pressure. The air conditioner worked(thank God or whoever) as well as everything else being fully functional. So far the room passed. Now let's head on over to the bar and see if the margaritas pass. Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight! The hotel's restaurant is called Los Arcos. Upon first walking in, I noticed a counter in the far right corner. As I first approached I wasn't quite sure if this place had a full bar as I couldn't see any bottles of liquor lined up on the wall. But then suddenly a nice young lady appeared and as soon as I said "margarita" she went to work. I guess the liquor was hidden beneath the counter. That's kind of a strange setup as most bars have their liquor bottles out on display as for all to see. Maybe there's a liquor bandit in town and that's why they keep all the bottles hidden. I don't care if they keep their liquor on the Moon. As long as I can get me a tasty margarita, then it's all groovy on this planet. So let's get into that margarita shall we. Being that it was my birthday, I couldn't think of a better way to turn 45, I mean 35, then to drown myself in margaritaville. Folks this margarita was really amazing, and you all know how picky I am when it comes to margaritas. But this thing really hit the nasty spot with me. And I don't mean that in a bad way. This margarita had the perfect mixture of all the right ingredients that were blended in with a nice smooth tequila that I could taste. And what I mean by that is that some bartenders put such a little amount of tequila into their margaritas that you can't even taste it. You might as well be drinking lemonade. But not here. My margarita had just the right amount of tequila that I could taste, but at the same time wasn't too overbearing. Praise to this nice lady for mixing me up such a fabulous margarita. In addition to the very tasty margarita, I want to comment on the service at Los Arcos. The staff here were friendly and attentive. But it wasn't the kind of service where they are all up your rear hoping to get a big tip. This is what you can expect at some sleazy bar in Tijuana. But not here. The staff here made my experience in margaritaville a groovy one. For example, they kept an eye on my drink for when my glass started to get empty, they were ready to ask me if I'd like another one. That way I didn't have to sit there with an empty glass while waiting for another drink. It was genuine good honest customer service. All in all I am going to say that my experience at the Hotel Del Rio was such that if I ever find myself in Navojoa again, I will definitely stay here. A groovy lodging experience where you get a lot for a low price. It's definitely a great deal. Just the margaritas alone make it worth it. So until next time, may your travels be far and wide, and may the margaritas get you buzzed. Happy trails. NASTY NATHANIAL

There are barely any outlets in the room, I could hear everything from the rooms surrounding me, and did not feel safe staying here. Do not come here just because it is cheap, there are much better hotels than this one.
