ROACHES!!! LOTS & LOTS OF THEM!!!! I stayed on 2/15/26 and when I turned on the bathroom light in the morning the bugs scattered everywhere. So gross!!! They also do a weird deposit to your card that you have to go back into the office before you leave, present your id again and sign to get your deposit back otherwise you are just screwed. They refused to accept cash payment and the lady at the counter was extremely rude. The only reason they got 1 star is because I cant give them zero stars. One of the most laid back Motel 6 franchises I've ever stayed at; and I usually stay at them when traveling. People may complain about certain aspects of "motel" vs "hotel", but what I value about Motel 6 is consistency. Yes it's not going to come with a bidet and a hot towel for your face in the morning, but your room will be clean, comfortable (unless it's 110° outside in which case nobody is comfortable!), and reasonably priced. The staff at this location don't stand out much except for the gentlemen who was working the desk when I took my dog out for a walk this morning! He was extremely kind and helpful and made sure to correct the error I accidentally made when rebooking. My only complaint is that the cleaning staff did not come to perform house keeping, but it's not enough to take off points. Thanks for the wonderful stay! read more

It wasn't horrible but we found 2 cockroaches on our bed (they were small but still!) when we arrived the room did seem clean but the next morning my feet were black! I was disgusted! For almost $100 per night I guess you get what you pay for but might as well pay a little more and go to an actual hotel. read more

Front desk is awesome, hotel furniture is updated and clean, I felt safe. No bugs at all during my stay. Not sure what else you could ask for from a $67 motel. If you're looking for luxury then there are plenty of other hotels around. If you just need a place to rest then this is a great spot. read more

I've been staying at Motel 6 for a couple weeks temporarily. The prices are decent but you get what you pay for. So far I've been to three different rooms and they don't seem too bad at first glance. All the ladies at the front desk were very helpful when I checked in and checked out. All these pros and cons are not exaggerated. PROS: *Check in and check out was quick *Comfortable beds *Free WiFi & Cable *Cool AC *Pets stay free *Walking distance from all the main stores including Tulare Outlets *Cheap prices *Free Coffee in the office CONS: *First night I stayed, I got a bad rash on my legs that travels down my legs (picture included) *A lot of drug dealing in the area *Only one microwave in the lobby for everyone *A TON OF CREEPS *Super Loud neighbors *I got a loud banging on my room door at 4:00 in the morning and looked outside and no one was there?? *If you don't like a lot of kids in one place making a lot of noise and talking smack on you then stay away from the pool *We found stains of poop on the bed sheets and figured they were only stains until we laid down and the stench of poop and butt came to us. *Bloody pillow cases in our room (pic included) *House keeping "accidentally" took my gaming controller *Someone complained that House keeping comes into your room when you're not there to see if it's kept in good shape. If I could rate this place with zero starts I would gladly do so! Everything about my stay was horrible from the rooms themselves, to the customer service ! I'm a single mom experiencing domestic violence issues and had no other place to stay so my grandpa got me a room there. The room when I walked in had a strong odor or urine , which I thought maybe had to do with the bathroom . The bed and sheets had black hairs all over ( mind you I have red hair ) , and in the shower it looked like black Pubic hair all over as well . I stayed with my children and the next day when my kids were messing around they accidentally moved the sheet off the bed only to expose huge urine stains and some other stains that looked like mold . I went to the front desk to complain and ask for a new room, the staff were extremely rude and told me I should've complained when I first got the room but I explained to them how was I supposed to know the beds were full of urine stains. They then gave me a new room which also smelled but not as strong, but for some reason there was black hairs everywhere in this room as well. It was horrible and disgusting but I had no other choice because all the other hotels were full and me and my kids had no where else to go and feared for our safety so we had to stay there . There was dog feces in the walkway to the front desk inside the building and in my first room the neighbors above had a lot of dogs which barked all night. That hotel is notorious for prostitutes and drug addicts so I'm not surprised. So before I left and checked out I complained and asked to talk to the manager who was also extremely rude, she said all she could offer me was $20 off. Anyways fast forward to last week, my friend house that I had started staying at , I got locked out of . So there I was in the Same predicament as before, all the other hotels were full and Motel 6 was the only hotel available so I go and try to check out a room with my grandpa and low and behold they have us on a block from staying there ! I'm guessing because we complained, wow horrible that place should be shut down everything about it is a joke it's disgusting it's trash and the workers there are trash! Absolutely disgusting .. I'm not sure why I didn't check on yelp before I booked this room. There is literally dead bugs on the floor, poop on the toilet and pubes in the sink! This room was so disgusting these people should ashamed of themselves. Yes of course I'm reporting them silly!!! I contacted the better business bureau and the local fire department. They don't even have fully charged fire extinguishers.... I took pictures of everything .... need I say more ... be safe out there guys! read more

Who stays at and reviews a Motel 6? This FTR-obsessed guy! I ended up lingering in Yosemite NP later than planned, so my original thought of camping at Sequoia NP was out. Late night, I needed a place to stay that was still pretty close to Sequoia. Motel 6 fit that description. What is there to say about Motel 6? It's a basic room, with a somewhat comfortable bed, and HBO! Wi-Fi costs $2.99 I think. I just use my tethered phone instead. The room I stayed in had an interesting shower, with the shower head above the curtain. Anyway, this Motel 6 location is pretty perfect if you need a starting point into Sequoia NP. It's less than 50 miles (short of an hour) to the park entrance. read more

Arrived to a room filled with flies. Ended up killing 15 after frustration grew from having them land on me and my pillows constantly. After walking around killing flies I looked at my feet to see they were black. So nobody has mopped the room in weeks, it would seem. I attached a photo of how dirty the washcloth was after cleaning my feet. All of this happened in the first 15 minutes, so naturally I am not impressed and in fact am a little disgusted. Management made no offer to make this situation right after voicing these complaints. Oh and the air conditioning sounded like a gas powered motor, so enjoy that. Thanks, Motel 6! I came in at 11PM to check-in after a long drive and there was no one in the lobby. I knocked on the door, called the reception and waited for about 30 minutes and still no one answered. There were other people who were trying to check in and they couldn't either. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I had to then scramble to find another hotel at 11:30 at night and pay more than double of what I paid for earlier. Terrible experience. read more

The staff was very friendly and professional. The facility is clean, quiet, and plenty of parking. The rooms clean. I don't really like the adjoining door, but I understand for those with larger accommodations and families traveling with children. There is a small pool, laundry machines, vending machines and walking distance to fast food and restaurants. My only con was not being notified about house keeping. I left for the day to handle business and my room was cleaned. I mean who complainsnabout having a clean room? Noonenbut it's just not being notified and people going through my belongings (nothing of mines was touched, but it's happened before and a non monetl 6 chain. I just want to say that after today, we will never stay in Motel 6 again. Due to our last experience (please see below) I was hesitant to book a stay here. But I did so anyway. I called the front desk to request clean blankets and the clerk, Victor, told me that he was the only employee on site so it was impossible for us to have clean blankets. I asked him 3x. He told my husband at check-in that I have 15 minutes to look at the room and request a refund if desired. After that, he wouldn't consider it. Some of the employees at this location are rude. Now what has thrown me over the edge is the cockroach that just ran along the side of my face. I'm just done. I can't recall a time that I have ever been so disappointed. We stay at Motel 6 everytime we need a room, but will never stay again. The following was originally sent to guestrelations@g6hospitality.com on July 1st, 2018. I attached several photos, but did not receive a response. We just checked into room 149 in Tulare, CA. Upon arrival, we noticed that there were no bed spreads on the beds. I pulled back the blanket and top sheet to reveal fresh coffee spills (or some other liquid) on the bed and the sheets have clearly been slept on. The other bed has pieces of hair, fresh dirt, and dirty sheets as well. I went to the front office and the desk clerk apologized and said she will send housekeeping to change the sheets. She was very pleasant. Two women from housekeeping came and the younger one said, "What's the problem." I said, "These sheets have clearly not been changed." Without apologizing, she stated that we need to wait outside. I opened the door a crack and informed her that we'd like to have clean blankets as well. She said, "We are!" in a not-so-pleasant tone and basically slammed the door shut. I am appalled at her attitude and the fact that the sheets were not changed. The floor has not been swept either. The other housekeeper does not speak English, but was friendly. The younger housekeeper was downright rude. We would leave and go to another motel, but we are all exhausted and my daughter has a sunburn and is not feeling well. I hope you will take the time to look into this matter. Standing outside in 98 degree weather while my bedding was changed is not what I expected from Motel 6. We stay here frequently and I'm very disappointed. We got to the hotel a little after 9:00 p.m. We were told that all the non-smoking rooms booked up because "it's first come, first serve" and "if you booked a non-smoking room online that is more of a preference". Motel 6 is still trashy. That won't ever change. Don't be fooled like we were with fake reviews online about how great it is. This is all opinion based, but me being on a road trip that consisted of multiple hotels, this was the worst stop I had been to. Reading other reviews, maybe you just want to avoid staying out of this town for a night's stay... This Motel 6 was $76 for a night... not $40 anything! There was no extra pillows available to us, so 4 people in two beds, we were afforded 4 pillows. There was no TV remote, the TV service was butchered and the picture kept messing up, the room smelled awful, they asked for all adult IDs which was odd (which made me think they've recently had problems), there was no hair dryer - no microwave- no in room coffee - no fridge - nothing, WiFi was an extra charge. The service was just blah really, so nothing to rant about. I did not feel safe in this Motel and felt as thought all of the ghetto came to sleep here for a night. No thank you. Smells of cow manure from the neighboring feedlots. Overall ultra sleazy. Had an unguarded pool we wouldn't venture to try. Room had a dirty bathroom. $57 for a queen size bed was cheaper than the other neighboring hotels (except for days in), but still too much for this place. It was awful and the guy and female in the office are so rude and unprofessional, they threw my sister out cause I tried to help her by picking up some clothes from her room for work and they said I wasn't allowed on property cause I didn't have my ID! It's clean and very competitive prices. Once your eyes are closed the rooms look like any other motel. You need to remember at 47.00 a night a comfortable bed and pillow, what can you complain about. NOw 2 years ago I did have a complaint it was prom night and they rented to some noise and destructive teens. Very Clean! I had originally made reservations for a different Hotel that was near by but their room was not very clean and the furniture looked old and abused. I ended up canceling at that hotel then drove here and I am soo glad I did. This Hotel was very clean, furniture appeared new. I have a bedbug phobia so I asked the lady at the front desk if I may see the room first before I decide to commit. She then sent house keeping to show me the room. I was very pleased with the staff, very nice and friendly. After checking in, I did my own inspection and was very happy to find that there was not a single trace of any kind of pest. This motel was disgusting from arrival the front check in smelled like weed. Walking up to our room there was a guy blasting music with his bike locking the way to our room. Also there was people dealing drugs in the back where our room was. Once we got in our room it stunk and the beds had disgusting stains on them. We had barely got in and had to pretty much beg for a refund since they said it was over 15 minutes which is was clearly not. If you care about your safety and cleanliness do not stay here I repeat do not stay here. I've stayed at plenty motel 6 in the past but this has been by far the worst never coming back and am scared to stay at motel 6 with my family after this experience. read more

I have always been treated well at motel 6Tulare . I stay there 2 or 3 days every month depending on my work schedule. The rooms are always clean and in good working order. The staff is always courteous and professional. Sometimes patrons are a bother but Beatrice is very good at dealing with them in a peaceful quick manner for the sake of other guests. read more

BEWARE OF ROCHES!!!! Spent the entire time killing flies and roches in my room. Not only was the room TINY but it was dirty. I stayed here two nights and on the second night somehow room keeping managed to "miss" our room and we had to call the front desk to ask why our room never got cleaned, they apologized and ran down to give us fresh towels.
