Everything was awful. * The room smelled wet and moldy. * The counter tops in the bathroom area and the nightstands were filthy. They had not been wiped down and were grimy and dirty. * There was toothpaste on the shower curtain. * There was hair in the bathroom. * The bedsheets on both beds had mystery stains that looked like they might have belonged in the bathroom. * There was an electrical socket hanging out of the wall. * The SECOND room they tried to put us in was also unclean. * There were cigarette stains on the sheets * This room ALSO had an odor. * When we complained, the desk clerk informed us that the room was "stained but clean." After being told the property would refund our money, we ended up staying at another hotel that night. Two weeks later, they still have not done so, and, when I called to get an update, I was hung up on several times. When I finally got a hold of someone, I was informed that "the room is under renovation" and that the employee working that night "suddenly quit". Interesting, but doesn't explain why the hotel can't honor its word. This property is terrible, and the staff have been amazingly unhelpful. Save your money and your sanity and stay somewhere else. The few bucks you might save here are just not worth it. read more

Stayed there the week of Labor Day 2023. Motel was very recently renovated and it was beautiful! The check in was quick and smooth, no hiccups. The room itself was fresh, very clean and I'm picky so I'm saying very clean. The kitchenette was fully equipped to prepare a meal with a nice seating area. The beds (our room was two queens) were clean, fresh, new, great mattresses, new crisp white linen and fluffy pillows better than home! My room was pet friendly and I had my French bulldog puppy. Was not afraid to have her walk around the room. No smell of other animals. The pool area was clean, nice and comfortable. The people from housekeeping were so friendly and helpful, more towels, anything we needed. We ordered door dash dinner and located close to everything. What a great place and we will surely stay there again. read more

This place is a dump! Stayed here during the summer and didn't hardly get any sleep because the place was being renovated. The room I was in, had been completed, and I wouldn't let prisoners set for death row stay in such a place. There were roaches crawling on the walls, there was no furniture in the room, as in their advertisements, in the room. There were dead roaches smashed onto the walls, that had been there for a while. The floors were uneven, and the bathroom was a disaster. The tub is 8 inches above the regular floor, and I almost killed myself getting out of it. F this place, and F the SORRY management! I wrote corporate about my stay, and have yet to hear back from them. I WILL NEVER stay at another Motel 6! Jerry Bodet, or who ever it was has dropped the ball! This hotel is so beyond disgusting... Room 113 was horrible and not clean at all! The pillows was disgusting w/ stains and the bed had food in it. The bathroom door was covered in stains and mold! The walls had dead bugs and spider webs! The shower had bugs in it! This place should be closed. My family and I was so upset with the room we left and got another room with a different hotel! Before leaving the motel we spoke with front desk person and we requested our money back and he said to contact the manager in morning! When contacting the location the lady answered and, I was told that she knew who I was with and hung the phone up! I called several times to speak to the manager and was told she wasn't there! On the 10th call, Frances answered and claimed that the manager was Susan! My husband call corporate and was told Renee Patterson was the owner! This is definitely not how to treat customers! Found nasty hair in my towel, stains everywhere (walls, bed etc), place smells like a$$, floors are sticky and uneven, there is only one tiny bar of soap & that's it (no tissue paper, shampoo etc), there's a man sitting in his truck outside of my room blasting Mexican music so loud that I can't even focus on what I'm typing....all in all, the worst motel experience of my life, and I've been in some dumps!!! Do not ever make a reservation to stay here!!! I made a guaranteed reservation on Tuesday 04/22/14 with a CC and planned on paying cash when i arrived. I guess they tried to run the CC for the entire stay at 8pm on my check in date of 04/25/14 and it declined so they sold my room to some one else. Never once calling me. So Myself, my wife, and our puppy arrive at 10pm and are told WITH attitude from Mrs, Christine that they had canceled my reservation! Again... NO CALLS! Not a one! So here we are, 10pm and no place to stay. Every place is booked in Texas city and after 1 hr we ended up having to drive all the way back into Houston and stay around Hobby airport. As long as i'm on gods green earth, i will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 ever ever again!!! Also, Mrs. Christine, the front desk lady..... Yeah, SUPER SUPER rude! I mean a total B. She is in the wrong business if dealing with the public is what she was hired for. She Does NOT represent Motel 6 well at all! She literally raised her voice to somewhat of a yell, at me because she kept giving me conflicting reasons on why they gave away my room and i politely called her out on it. Shame on you lady. It's a Motel 6. I don't expect much. Booked last minute for Galveston weekend get-away based on a price that was about half what was being asked on the Island. It is a quick trip into Galveston, so I will give it that. It served it's purpose. With that said... Lots of drunks in the parking lot at night and the tub was surrounded by black mold in room 209. Black mold is pretty much where I draw the line, even when specifically searching for cheap accommodations. While the over all look of the rooms are much better than what is posted on here there were other issues. 1) Roaches found in our restroom. 2) There was a nice flat screen tv but no cable service...not even antenna tv. 3) Towels in the restroom had yellow stains. 4) No phone in the room to call front desk. The only reason I gave this place a one star is the fact that the beds were at least comfortable. Thank goodness we really only needed a bed for the night. Will never return. read more

Secondly, Their OWN POLICY states that the room is to be paid for at registration, I didn't even get to register since you CANCELLED MY RESERVATION!!!!!!! You broke your own policy. Then she said she gave away our reservation so she had NO rooms available. Christine's response to the issue that SHE has caused..... Give us a HUGE attitude!!!! She was almost at a yell, and treated us like we did something wrong. YOU Christine were in the wrong not us. SO, after sitting in a car for 5 hours pregnant, with a small dog, a teenager and a husband we were turned away with out a place to stay. You just sent a family out in a town we know nothing about without a place to stay at 10:30pm!!!! A family out in the street. It took us until 11:30 to find a available hotel. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Who sends a family out into the street. NEVER stay here. I will now, as a stay at home mom, make it my mission to make sure EVERYONE knows how you treat a family. So, to recap.... Christine needs to find a new line of work. Some where that there are NO, I mean ZERO human contact. She is the rudest person I have met in a long time. Christine broke your own policy and threw a family out in the street. Management is a HUGE joke. No one cares. NO one cares at all. I am sure though that if they were left with no place to stay they would make sure they fixed the problem but since the manager was not effected, Tyler, Could care less. Max Patel and Luz Baki at the front desk went above and beyond to help me overcome some issues that came up from traveling such a long distance. Surzes (please forgive me if I misspelled his name) another staff member also went out of his way for us by carrying some heavy luggage down stairs for us and loading them in car for my Wife and I. We walked into the room, first thing we noticed was the lights flickered, the two huge holes in the walls, the cigarette burn marks on the shower, and the horrendous smell. There blood looking stain on the side of the mattress and chair. My toddler said it was disgusting before we did. We decided to tough it through the night, went to our car, got our blankets and own pillows because there was no way I was sleeping under those blankets, big mistake! My family and I made reservations for this hotel on Feb 14th. When we got there I swear I was back in the ghetto. We got our two rooms and when I opened up the door all I smelled was cig smoke and mildew. My son went to the bathroom, closed the door and couldn't open the door back up. Well....we made these reservations very late...and needed a place that would take Fido...that said...you do get what you pay for. I know better. The room is pretty clean, from what I can see! My bedside lamp wouldn't turn on so we requested another light bulb. No problem......except....that didn't help....upon closer inspection, the lamp wasn't plugged in because the plug was literally gone. It was like someone literally cut the plug off from the wiring. Ok....the tub is too funny. It's necessary to get help to get in because it's so tall, but once in, the comedy continues. My husbands head was a mere inch from the ceiling! The tub itself was very shallow...it was funny to watch my husband try to get wet when he is taller than the shower head! ;). The absolute worst part is that the air conditioner was inadequate. It rumbles along...trying it's best...but at this moment, I do believe it feels cooler outside. I would hate to be here during one of the infamous Texas summer days. No way. It would be intolerable. I overheard the receptionist tell another woman who was inquiring about the non existent continental breakfast that we could use our key at the Denny's next door to get fifteen percent off. That only applies to dine in and the Denny's is a joke. Oh my. I was told by the temporary maintenance man that the hotel was recently purchased and is in the midst of renovations. I wish them well. Holy crap! I usually take bad reviews with a grain of salt but every single one of these bad reviews are correct and I'm going to add to them by letting you know how retarded the front desk lady is. That sounds harsh I know but I checked in 50 minutes ago exactly and I still can't get into my room! This lady is flustered and sighing and saying "oh my God" real loud and irritated every time the phone rings or someone walks in the door. She can't handle anything more than a phone call. It's after hours so the office door locks but she can see someone standing there and she has to finish whatever she is doing, including checking someone into a room before she can even reach over a foot to hit the button. Me and 3 other people stood there watching her for 10 minutes helping one person then finally the customer came and opened the door for us...not her. so my room key won't work and she has made a new one 3 times and the 4th time I called instead of walking all the way back with all my bags only to have to stand in line and wait my turn for what should be done in 10 seconds while she's waiting on the computer or whatever. She walked to the room and tried the key herself like I was somehow doing it wrong! She found out for her self that it won't work and she had a key of her own she let me in with and I told her I need to eat next door at Dennys and she says I'll have to come find her to let me back in the room. She said she can't put me into a different room because she doesn't know where a clean one is. I asked if there ARE any clean ones and she said yea but "they" don't give her a list. I'm going to have to have a talk with the manager now, like I don't already have enough to do.
