    The building is infested with ROACHES I've been here for 1 1/2 weeks now out of my 30 day stay here and my room is crawling with Roaches.. even after staff said that they sprayed my room I still have Roaches.. This establishment need a health inspector hear or an Exterminator whichever comes faster

    BEDBUGS BEDBUGS BEDBUGS!!!! PLEASE DONT STAY HERE. I arrived looking normal and left with bites all over my body and a suitcase of clothes that got infested in the room. Rude response from the staff with a refusal to refund my full stay. I'm sorry that I didn't automatically assume that the hotel was infested with vermin and make a fuss immediately. PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AWFUL PLACE TO ANYONE.

    At 1030p my family pulls up to this hotel. Parking was extra cramped. We ordered the 2 King Bed room. I tell my family to wait in the car as I make sure the room is good. I go checking for bed bugs. I look up near the main door seal and think I see a huge moth, nope a big. @as roach chilling!!!! I walked back out and cancelled our reservation!! Never again Motel 6!!!!

    The 2 ft spot

    Was last minute decision to stay in a motel. This one didn't look so bad. Rooms are spacious. Beds are ok. I took a shower and walked around the room a little bit and noticed my feet felt dirty. Looked and found they were, after a shower. Took a wet washcloth and wiped a 2 ft spot between the beds and it is the first picture. The next is the entire area between the beds and a little bit at the foot of the bed so maybe a 6x 2 ft area. This is disgusting! Do you even mop? This was just with water. I was shocked at this amount of filth. It's July 18th and other guests were lighting off fireworks in the parking lot. And the toilet rocks from side to side. On a positive note the WiFi is fast. Room included microwave and mini fridge but a coffee pot would have been nice. Motel 6 used to be a nice clean place to stay, but recently I have found its not just 1 locations that needs work, it's many. I have stayed in one in Kennewick, Wa, Madras, OR, San Angelo, Texas and now this one in Gardena, CA and they all had many problems including cleanliness.

    supposedly a new change sheet after complaining of the first dirty sheet we complained about that looked like a blood stain.

Under the former management team, including the previous GM and food & beverage manager, we were always treated warmly and professionally. They were friendly, welcoming, and always made us feel appreciated as guests. We genuinely enjoyed spending time there. Unfortunately, since the management change, the atmosphere feels completely different. The experience now feels cold and unwelcoming compared to before. What really disappointed us was the valet situation. The valet attendants we knew in the past always followed the stated policy: $10 validated parking for a few hours if you were dining or having drinks, and $25 if staying longer. This time, we stayed about 4 1/2 hours, and after waiting for the car, my girlfriend was suddenly charged $40 -- which is closer to an overnight valet rate. What made it worse was that when she arrived, the valet attendant -- who knows her and recognized her -- never explained the pricing upfront. He simply said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you." Had we been informed ahead of time, we would have made a different decision. The whole experience left us with a very disappointing feeling, especially considering how loyal we've been to this hotel over the years. Otherwise, there are better options all over the Southland including other Hampton Inns. My review is coming from the perspective of a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member. I stay in plenty of Hampton Inns around the US and even some around the globe. I recognize that it is in the budget arm of the Hilton brand portfolio and when I stay at a Hampton Inn, I am not expecting high-end, luxury amenities, personal services, or public spaces with artwork. I am looking for a reasonable price for the area market, a safe and clean stay, and casual but professional staff interactions. The 2 features I like about this hotel are the free self-parking and the overall cost for the local market. Almost all other hotels in and around this area (within 10 miles of LAX) charge some parking fee which this property does not. Also, the room price was not dirt cheap but was among the lowest of the other area hotels of similar comfort levels. While it is hard to not like that, I came away from my first stay here with an understanding that you get what you pay for. It is in an odd location, just off of the freeway and jammed into some open ground abutting 60 mph traffic. Just be aware that it is not really sound-proofed so freeway noise is going to be present. Also, the desk staff seems to have been called up from the bush-league. Like most hotels, guaranteed check in is at 3p. I happened to arrive early at 1:30p to an empty parking lot and a quiet lobby and thought the likelihood of me getting into a room early might be high. The desk agent did not look up at me standing at his desk until I intentionally made some noise and then instead of greeting me like a guest, he asked what I wanted as if I was interrupting him. I told him my name on the reservation and asked if I might check in early. He told me no immediately without even checking if there were rooms available. I have done this enough to know that it is sometimes helpful for the front desk to check to see if there were rooms available early and so I asked if he would check and he told me he knew that there were none. When I asked if he knew if any would be available early, he told there would not be any available until 3p and that they would text me if something opened up. I left a little annoyed because I felt like I had been blown off and I started driving away to look for somewhere to grab a late lunch. I received a text 8 min later that a room was now ready. When I got back to the hotel to ask about it, he acted like he had no idea who I was as he was checking me in. I thought it was odd when I had to ask if I could have a bottle of water which is a benefit I get for being a Diamond member. He gave me one but would not have had I not asked and I never received any acknowledgement of loyalty. I never really expect that anyway but I find it nice when a hotel staff will welcome me as a guest based on that. It just shows that they spent some time paying attention to caring about their customer base. The hotel was clean but clearly old and in need of a refresh. There is a lot of chipped paint in the public spaces. In the end, I got a bed, a parking space, did not get robbed, and did not see bed bugs. But I also got zero in terms of polite and professional service, no loyalty recognition, and no warm and fuzzy endearment to want to stay here again.

The multiple screw holes with differing alignments suggest that this may be a chronic problem that should have been addressed properly long ago. This needs immediate attention.
