Unknown stain on bedsheet

First night at this motel 6 I was giving my son a bath and noticed the faucet leaks, this is something I could deal with. While giving him a bath, out of nowhere the tub drain overflow fell into his bath water and it was rusted a long with the inside. This alone was very gross and I took him out. I requested a non smoking room but the shower curtains were obviously used in a smoking room and it reeks of cigarettes and in turn, makes the entire bathroom smell like cigarettes. I went to lay down with my son when I noticed one of the beds had a weird unknown stain, so I went to the other which had a hole from what I assume is embers from a cigarette. The only reason why I dealt with all this so far is because my 2 dogs stay free, otherwise I would pick somewhere else to go!

FRONT DESK Helpful and friendly. EXTERNAL GROUNDS Well kept. SERVICE Good. Resteraunt and bar team attentive and provide good service. CLEANLINESS Room good. Lobby good. VALUE I thought for the location ok. Though $18.00 for parking is unacceptable. Restaurant and bar were pricey. LOCATION In an office park. But I like the location. SLEEP QUALITY Good night sleep. ACCOMANDATIONS Many conference area. Each night had major events going on. Has a bar and resteraunt Starbucks. Starbuck with basic drink menu and pastries Parking garage available if open air lot is full. HVAC I felt did not work well. 3rd floor ice machine not working. The whole time we were there it never worked at all. Each floor has its own ice machine. No explanation on when it would be fixed.

Dear General Manager, and Director…read more I am writing to formally report and express my profound disappointment regarding a serious security breach that occurred on March 5, 2026 at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park. I checked into the hotel shortly after 2:00 PM and, at that time, added my wife to my reservation. I provided her full name to the front desk representative, who confirmed that her information had been placed on the account. I was assigned Room 409 and given a parking pass for her vehicle. I specifically instructed the front desk that when my wife arrived, she should be provided with both a room key and the parking pass upon presentation of her identification. At approximately 4:00 PM, my wife called me in a state of extreme distress. Instead of being issued a key to Room 409, she was mistakenly given a key to Room 310. Unaware of the error, she entered Room 310 believing it to be our assigned room. Inside, she observed personal belongings that were clearly not ours, including a rental car receipt and a cellular phone on the table. It was only at that point she realized she had been given access to another guest's occupied room. This incident caused her significant emotional distress, nearly resulting in a panic attack. I had to calm her down over the phone. Beyond the emotional impact, this situation represents a severe lapse in guest security and operational protocol. My wife was placed in an unsafe and potentially volatile situation. Had the registered guest returned to his room while she was inside, the encounter could have escalated with serious consequences for everyone involved. This was not a minor inconvenience--it was a critical breach of trust and safety. As a law enforcement officer in this county, I am acutely aware of how quickly situations like this can escalate. Just days ago, a violent road rage incident resulting in a fatal stabbing occurred less than half a mile from your property. The gravity of this error cannot be overstated. Equally concerning has been the response from hotel management. My attempts to address this matter have been met with delays and an apparent reluctance to engage meaningfully. That response compounds the seriousness of the original incident. I expect a thorough explanation of how this occurred, what corrective measures will be implemented immediately to prevent recurrence, and how the hotel intends to address the distress and risk caused to both my wife and the other guest whose privacy was violated. I will also be forwarding this correspondence to ownership, as this matter warrants executive-level review. I look forward to your prompt and professional response.

My second stay at a Hampton Inn this week. This time, I was able to reserve (and receive) an…read moreaccessible room, which makes it much easier for this older lady to take a shower and other necessary business in the bathroom. The automated window shade operated by a remote was not working when I entered the room, so I asked for someone to come look at it. They assessed the situation and said they would go find out what could be done. They returned and said they could not adjust it but could offer me another room (not an accessible one). I chose to keep the room I was in. The room was super clean and as it turned out, the lack of window shade did not bother us too much. However, this is the second Hampton I have been to in a week where the bed and pillows just weren't cutting it! Has Hampton changed their bedding? I mean, both these trips end up with me tossing and turning, not ever getting comfortable with the mattress and pillows. That's a definitely first for me at a Hampton! The bathroom and low-entry tub met our needs with plenty of safety grab bars. The breakfast offerings were the usual waffles, 'hotel eggs', yogurts, hard boiled eggs, cold cereals, oatmeal and some fresh fruit.

After my second night in the hotel, I STILL didn't have my shampoo. This is UTTERLY ridiculous; I deserve more respect. Also, there is no bacon. It is wheelchair accessible.

Lights are so dim and honestly was depressing to stau here for 3 weeks. Breakfast can be a chaos but one older Hispanic lady just keeps moving, refilling buffet and clearing tables. She is so nice and such a hard worker...it made my day seeing her every morning. They have a pool and hot tub outside, and my family with a 4 year old would not have survived otherwise. They have a little trail going around the hotel, and CVS and Aldi are within a minute walk. My favorite Mosaic District is also 15min walk from here. The location and people are great, but the hotel needs a major update!

We asked repeatedly to clean the room, but she refused. The room was in disarray, the bedding had stains, and smelled like old sweat, the floors were sticky, the fridge was not properly cleaned and was full of black mold. There was no trash liner in the trash nor there was any hand soap. We had to wear masks while we were there. We were disgusted. So we asked to be transferred to a different room, however we were accused that we brought the flies and the smell came from us. Kristin told us to evacuate the room immediately or else. We literally had few minutes to leave. We were shocked and disappointed. We called the corporate office to report the incident but no one would listen. Please don't make a reservation in this place as you will be victimized by this heartless liar and a cheat

This hotel has a boutique hotel feel. It's on the smaller side and feels a little hidden when you are approaching from the street. My Uber driver and I both had a hard time locating the hotel because the street level signage is only frosted glass that's very discreet. This is a pet friendly hotel. Meaning they allow animals in every room on every floor. As a person with terrible allergies to animals this was a little nerve wrecking for me. Although the hotel does not offer a non pet floor/ room in the hotel. They were very accommodating and showed me a few different rooms to allow me to see which would work best for me. The hotel offers complementary breakfast in the morning which had something for every dietary need. I don't eat pork and was very happy with the chicken sausage option they had. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, sink, dishwasher and full size fridge. They also have plates and dishes for you to use. There are a few restaurants within walking distance if you need to grab a bite to eat.

It's located in a developing area with some luxury apartments nearby, and though the surroundings are still being built up, the hotel itself is in great shape. Our king room was spacious and well-equipped. It had a comfortable bed, pull-out sofa, desk areas, and a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen even had basic dishware and utensils. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a large mirror and walk-in shower. The hotel lobby is on the second floor, and it's stylishly decorated. There's no front desk on the first floor, so after hours, you'll need to scan your key card to enter the building. To access other floors besides the second, you'll also need to scan your key card or use the mobile app, which I thought was a great feature that more hotels should offer for extra security and convenience. A heads-up for future guests: there's no on-site parking, and you have to use the city's parking deck, which costs $12 a day.Which you will be billed for during your stay. A parking pass is required to scan in and out, and if you request a late checkout, you'll need an updated pass. The parking deck's elevator doesn't lead directly to the hotel, so you'll walk a short path between buildings. Like others said there is a tight turn to get into the deck...so trucks or vans would be a bad idea. One small note: the big window in our room let in a lot of natural light, but it also faces two schools nearby, so privacy is something to be mindful of for those "adventurous" people. We skipped breakfast based on earlier reviews from others but found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a good spot for anyone exploring the Northern Virginia area, with a reasonable 30-minute drive to DC without DC prices. Worth checking out!

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a friendly attendant who seemed genuinely happy to have us. I mentioned that we had just checked out of another property due to its poor conditions and overall atmosphere, and she immediately apologized. Check-in was quick and smooth, and she shared details about the onsite restaurant, which we later visited and found to be simple (pizza, salad, burgers, dessert, etc.) but delicious. The walk to our room was a bit challenging since I was dealing with some mobility issues, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the room spacious, clean, and nicely updated; completely different from the previous location. Within a few minutes, we received a courtesy call from the front desk asking if the room met our expectations and if we needed anything. That thoughtful gesture really stood out, especially after our earlier experience. The next morning, as we were checking out, we were reminded by yet another kind attendant that we should make time for the complimentary breakfast. For a small chain hotel that promises a "hot breakfast," this truly stood up to its name. The waffles came out perfect, fruit neatly arranged and edible, and the sides and drinks were also delicious. Although we only stayed one night, we slept and ate wonderfully, and would gladly stay here again if we're in the area.
