This motel 6 does not provide refers in the rooms. None at this motel. Now that we have arrived, the quarters are very basic. An all white hotel with blue doors. Next to check in area is a ice machine with free ice. A coke and water and snack machine are available All indoors. I got water bottles and made a couple ice bags for my small travel cooler. The bed is a nice king and the tv cable guide is Spectrum. Lots of options. I can park right in front of my door. I like that. This is another night of affordable lodging. Safe n sound! I would return! read more

Check-in took longer than it should. The electronic locks on the doors are difficult to get to work. The room smells dirty (like a stinky wet dog). The motel is old and rundown. There was a container on the counter of somebody's fruit that was left behind. The bathroom floor around the toilet area was wet (I'm afraid to learn what that is). There was no soap, shampoo, or towels in the room. And the coffee wasn't even close to actually being coffee. There is a reason why this motel costs $85 per night. It is a dump. read more

We purchased a non smoking room for two nights. Our room smelled like cigars, burn holes all through the sheets. A dead roach hanging from the curtain, and 1 towel. The carpet was sticky, and we had to go back to the from desk over 8 times for new cards because our keys wouldn't let us in the room. The phone doesn't work, no dial tone. We would of left hotels, but we had already booked this from far away and everything else for that exact night was 170+ for being last minute. First night the guy was having so many issues with maintenance, and the manager was across the street at the bar getting hammered and refused to come help. The only nice thing was Talina. She assured me a refund would be happening. I don't know how it has such a great rating? That's the only reason we stayed here, but it's absolutely not true. read more

I booked a week in advance, 2 beds, showed up and they said they tried to call, I said what's the issue, she said oh nothing we got over booked. So I paid and go to my room, it's only one bed, I walked back over and said my 2 sons and I need two beds, she said there's nothing she can do to fix the problem. Like I booked this a week in advance, wtf. Not my problem yall over booked... she said would you like a refund and then did nothing to make the experience any better.. there is no phone number to contact anyone, I'm done with motel 6. -5 stars read more

Carley is awesome! We called hours before our arrival and she accommodated our room request with our pup. Room is warm, clean and smells great! We stayed here a few years ago and were very happy. Happy again! Highly recommend! read more

It's a motel 6. You can't expect much. I've stayed at many. This one was decent. Location was quite. Receptionist was nice and talkative. Room was large and spacious but there was no closet or luggage holder. Room was clean. Carpet was old and felt damp. The whole place felt damp. It smelled like old basement and cigarettes. We kept getting whiffs off cigarette smoke. Not sure if it was someone smoking outside constantly or someone had previously smoked in the room not long ago. Sink was in main area with carpet underneath. Gross. Couldn't find ice machine. No frills. No fridge. No coffee maker. No microwave. Bed was springy like a trampoline but not cushiony. Slept ok because I was exhausted but it wasn't exactly comfortable. Would stay again if I had no other choice of affordability. read more

Motel 6 - Hotels Near Me - Erie, Pennsylvania

See I'm pregnant and me and my boyfriend got kicked out from this hotel. And the one girl that kicked us out was rude as hell. And I hope the corp did something bout it. And now I'm back on the streets sleeping on the ground with no food or a shower. So I hope the head company understands my complaint. The other staff was so nice. Especially Rick he was so kind and understanding too. I hope one day he will be come a head manager there. read more

Nice Motel 6. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. A slight musty smell in the room but we aired it out and it was ok. Would recommend this comfortable, but basic hotel room. Butch C read more

The check-in area isn't much to write home about, but the receptionist was VERY nice. Our room was nicely decorated and obviously newly done over. The carpet was still kind of old, but all in one piece and clean. There was a general feeling of dampness, but we ran the A/C and it cleared up. But the REALLY positive thing is the call we got 2 hours after leaving--they found my mom's cell phone in the bedding and called to tell us. We were already 2 hours away on the road towards our destination and really couldn't go back for it--they offered to send it C.O.D. We still have to wait and see if they send it, but even calling was impressive. My mom is relieved to know it's on its way--we hadn't missed it yet, so now we won't have to panic when my she unpacks! read more

Sometimes driving 24 hours straight is a terrible idea. I made it 20 hours (after not sleeping the night before either) and thought, "Hm, maybe now would be a good time to get off the road before I die in a blaze of glory." You never know what you're going to get when you're on the road and pull off in some po-dunk town (no offense, Erie - in your defense, I didn't have time to explore you at all). But what I got at this Motel 6 was a totally reasonable rate (right around 65 bucks for the night), a wonderful clean room, and super modern (without being austere) furnishings. Just a head's up that there is no shampoo/conditioner and if memory serves there is no mini-fridge either. No breakfast. Just basic bare-bones amenities: towels, soap, television, wifi. Comfy bed. Hassle free check in and check out (11am). read more

5 stars for the price. Very clean, friendly front desk staff, coffee in the morning. Great place to catch some sleep on a road trip.

This motel is very clean and the rooms look like they were recently renovated! I'm shocked by the inexpensive price for such a nice room. The rooms do not have hair dryers, fridge or shampoo. That was fine by me because it was cheap. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend! read more

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't fancy, but it was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Looks like it may have been freshly painted. The only thing missing was a hair dryer. But for the price and comfort of the room I can over look that. We will be staying again on our return trip read more

Great for the cost .stayed one night Clean no frills motel ,close to highway, plenty of parking ,comfortable bed . Desk clerk said motel was updated about 2nd yrs ago. FYI:no mini fridge read more

Great Motel. Everything is new and updated. Comfortable beds. No breakfast. But for the price we'd certainly stay again.

Charged for 5 nights but only stayed 2 nights. Management is not helpful in resorting issue. Don't stay here because you'll be charged for way too many nights and not get your money back. Your better off staying at a five star hotel, it'll cost you the same a night. Unbelievable read more

Just spent this past Saturday into Sunday at Motel 6. Great stay. Rooms were clean. No frills. I was not expecting any. Went to Doc Holidays beside the motel for drinks and dinner. Friendly staff. Would def stay here again. read more

Worst...place...ever. Made a reservation in my name using wife's credit card. Upon arrival the manager demanded I show my credit card. Obviously I refused since they already had my wife's credit card for payment. The manager then told me "You blew it. Get off my property" and refused to honor my reservation. When I insisted on checking in he threatened to call the police. He then retreated to his office and wouldn't come out until the police arrived. The police informed me they have to deal with him on a regular basis and apologized that I had to put up with him. Long story short, we went to a different hotel. I have sent 2 emails to Motel 6 corporate to complain and have yet to hear anything back. Avoid Motel 6 and especially avoid Jacob Landis at the Motel 6 on Schultz Rd in Erie, Pa. Worthless. read more

First time for me ever staying at a Motel 6 and been a while since I stayed a motel you can drive right up to your room at. Honestly, was a little nervous to begin with. Not only was it inexpensive $140 for two nights with all taxes included but the rooms were very nice. Very clean, great TV channel selection and very large bed. Employees were all very nice. I would highly recommend based on the price and quality you get for it. read more

Stayed recently and can confirm other reviews. They have renovated the rooms and the rates are great. $60+tax for a single. $75+tax for a double (2 adults no extra charge for child). When I called (after 11pm) the person on duty was busy and asked for my phone number saying he would call me back. To my surprise about 5 minutes later my phone rang and a pleasant voice guided me in off the highway and checked us in. Pros: Rooms are updated about 18 months ago New A-C unit, Beds, Tub, Sink, Counters, TV. We were placed in a family friendly building. Ice machine. EZ access to highway Cons: The rooms may have new furnishings and fresh paint but the building is rather old and I'm sensitive to smells and I could smell a musty order (probably in floor or roof). Most people may not even notice. It wasn't too bad. The price and proximity to highway attracts alot people you won't see at pricey places (I believe they do their best to separate families from others). No breakfast just coffee and vending machines (if your into that). Your not on the main exit with all the retail-restaurants in town. If your looking for a fancy place in town go down a few miles west (pay 2x the rate). If you want a good rate, clean room this is it. All in all a CLEAN PLACE. FAIR PRICE. NICE STAFF. EZ HWY ACCESS read more

There was a lot going on in Erie the night I stayed at this Motel 6. Rates were higher than usual. I was charged $129.99 plus taxes and fees. However, there is a sticker on the back of the door (I have a photo) that states that the rate for this room is $99.99. I'm not positive, but I believe that charging more than the rate on the sticker is considered price gouging in Pennsylvania. I am currently looking into this and will update this review when I get some answers. The room was clean. WIFI was good. Hot water was pretty warm. Only soap was provided - no shampoo or conditioner, and none of the other "essentials" normally found in other hotels. Bed was good, but not great. It's actually nice being able to park directly outside the room door and only having to carry luggage 10 feet or so. I probably would stay here again, but I would not allow myself to be "overcharged" again. read more

16 dollars more after tax than promised on the phone. When I confronted him he said unbelievably " we have had a room rate increase , and if you had booked it an hour ago you would have gotten the rate I said". No ice machine and had to walk a 1/4 mile to buy ice. Said covid was the reason , they were told they couldn't do ice. I stay all across the country and have never paid 96 dollars for a motel 6 even the brand new ones and no. One has ever been told they can't do ice because of covid. The room has no fridge or microwave either. What a joke , don't waste your money on this rip off read more

Desk clerk was rough looking and had an attitude. He told me I needed to pay for the room I paid for online again. When I showed him my receipt on my phone already. He told me he had worked there for a really long time and he knew more than I did about these things. It was late so I paid him again and I will dispute it later. The ice machine was broken and since this is a no frills hotel there was no fridge. He told me to go buy a bag of ice at the convenient mart down the road. They had no shampoo available but offered me a bottle from a vending machine for 3.50. I knew it was a no frills hotel but I figured they would have shampoo and soap in the room. Room was clean and newly renovated so that's where the 2nd star came from. In the future I'd stay at the red roof next door for five more dollars. read more

Worst motel I've ever stayed at. The woman clerk was extremely rude and seemed as though she didn't want to do her job. On top of that I came a bit early so I asked to use the restroom while I waited and the woman refused to let me use it. Never coming back here again read more

We were pleasantly surprised...seems they have done a major renovation. The rooms are clean and very nicely appointed. A very good value. The manager Troy, was delightful... We were passing through but will stay there next time. read more

I stay at Motel 6 quite often, so I know what to expect. But this particular hotel in Erie has the absolute worst management I've ever encountered. DO NOT STAY HERE. Briefly what happened was I made the reservation over the phone and gave my credit card. The agent mistakenly reserved 2 different weekends. They charged my card as a no show on the weekend I never booked. Then would not honor the price for the weekend I did want booked. THE MANAGER said he had no record of anything. I proved him wrong by my credit card statement. His aragoint attitude made me sick He then admitted it was all there mistake, and would not honor the price I was quoted. He said most people lie and he hears bullshit all the time. Nice way to think about your customers... read more

I have to explain the three stars. The hotel was in the $50 range so honestly my bar wasn't set very high but I would've given this 5 based on the style of the room and the cleanliness. I was pretty impressed with the room and with the bathroom . They must've remodeled them recently. The room had a cute little breakfast nook too. However , the room had this very peculiar smell, especially the sheets. It almost seemed like a combination of smoke and like a stale mildew smell so maybe take fabreeze?. The other thing that was a little off putting was the noise . Honestly, it was raining and it was so loud it sounded as if the ceiling were dripping but it wasn't. I wouldn't have any important conversations in these rooms because it felt like the people next to us were in the same room . We only stayed one night so it was okay for one night but I don't know that I'd have stayed any longer , even if for only $50ish a night. read more

The room was clean and bed was decent. However, essentially no furniture. There was a table connected to a wall with a built in chair and table chair; no upholstered chair or clock/radio so I couldn't set two alarms. I called for a wake-up call at 5 AM Monday morning, but the employee forgot to pass that request on or enter into the computer for auto wake-up. The person on duty the previous day did it correctly and on Sunday I got the call before 5 AM. On Monday, I overslept and didn't wake up until 7:30 AM an hour and a half after my flight. Because the ticket was not reimbursable, I had to pay $335 for a new one way ticket. Mistake are made, but I should have been reimbursed. Rating would have been zero, but that doesn't allow posting. The manager was cordial enough, but refused to take responsibility and said that I should not count on wake up calls. In other words my fault. He offered to call the regional legal group to see if he was obligated and later called me to say company policy didn't require him to reimburse me. Not surprised. I'm not saying they're legally responsible, but they sure don't believe in customer relations. Won't ever use Motel 6 again. read more

Horrible customer service. Due to COVID-19 regulations, could not travel. Worked through expedia to get it corrected. Called the motel directly to make amends, of the situation. Canceled reservation a month ahead and had proof. The guy at the front desk named Jacob was disgusting and should be fired for how disrespectful he was. read more

I have traveled across the entire country multiple times and frequent Motel 6 from coast to coast. This location was incredibly clean!!! The bath looked brand new as did many other features. Best price we could find that met our needs. Checking checking in was fast and easy. The front desk acts like you are someone that matters. It was very clean and the service was good. With this hotel stay you get the bare minimum. There was no shampoo in the rooms but I'm sure they might have it if you ask for it. There is also no refrigerator in the room. There was coffee in the lobby. Even the door jambs were clean and in some of the expensive places they are filthy. All in all it was a good place to sleep and bug-free. Location was right off the highway so it was very convenient. Oh, the best part dogs are welcome. And our room didn't smell like dog. read more

The room was very clean and quiet, but if you need shower, keep driving. After driving for 11 hours and still have 14 more all I wanted to sleep and shower. If you just need a clean bed, this is a good spot, but if showering is important, go somewhere else read more

We came in late and had been told earlier in the day that we had the last room. The bathtub in room 429 was leaking a lot when we arrived near midnight and there was no way to turn it off. We stopped here because there was a blizzard coming in. We stopped here at 1am and the guy behind the counter, Matt, was very friendly and helpful despite the late hour. This was the best place we could find for our price range and plus we have a dog that travels with us. The room was very clean, especially the bathrooms. The bathrooms are a little small to get changed in, we did have a little hiccup with our room keys not working but the front desk fixed it right away and apologized for the problem. We did not have to pay extra to have our dog with us, there are little areas for your dog to use on both sides of the motel. Very nice and clean and accommodating. read more

This was the worst motel I has ever stayed in. I stayed 1 night in room 264 and my husband and I got ate alive by bed bugs. The room was dirty and it stank. This is the absolute worst motel I have stayed in. We paid 80.00 for a p.o.s. room and got ate by bed bugs. I called corporate and they said it'll take up to 5 business days to see if they find bed bugs and that I might not get a refund. I would not recommend anyone staying here.
