This is a lovely park to walk in. They also have a variety of sports areas. Family friendly and a great way to get your steps in for the day!

My family and I love this park! We recently relocated to the area it is our favorite outdoor space. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There are plenty of tables both covered and uncovered, charcoal grills , and benches. My son loves the playground. In addition to it being a park is also a historic site with a fort to boot. The staff at the welcome center are friendly and knowledgeable. I looking forward to doing a tour and taking classes in the future.

Loved this park! It's perfect for all ages and there is a smaller section for toddlers. Highly recommend checking it out :)

Nice park who let the kids play Cook-Out areas beautiful walking trail new workout machine basketball courts baseball fields softball fields clean bathrooms cold water volleyball courts history Morgan's house graveyard just a good place to explore and learn about the civil war

Moss Wright is a big, beautiful park with grassy meadows, rolling hills, big ol' trees, a wide, lazy creek, a 2 mile nature trail, picnic tables, shelters, playgrounds, baseball, football, and soccer fields, and a volleyball court. Historic Mansker Station, an 18th century fort and house, which you can take a tour of for $6. Although Moss Wright is only about a 20 minute drive from downtown Nashville, when I was there I felt like I was very far from the city. It's a really relaxing, peaceful setting that I'd like to go back to with a picnic, a good book, and my sneakers (to walk the trail).

Love coming here for the dog park. I wish there was some way we could make it bigger!!

A dead tree sprawled on the river at Moss-Wright Park. Scary, yet beautiful.

Great place to walk if you live in the area. Two miles around the whole park. Plenty of parking. Not too busy. Nice creek.

We have so many happy memories here. There are multiple tables, grills, trash bins and shelters around the park for everyone to enjoy a picnic. They have a huge shelter available to rent with a kitchen for bigger parties or weddings. A nice doc with benches to fish from and a long sidewalk along the water. Its clean, super shady and well kept. Convenient bathrooms, volley ball net, playground and more. I can't say enough good things about the place. Go yourself and enjoy!

It's out in Hendersonville on Old Hickory Lake, and it has a handful of pavilions (five I think) as well as several picnic tables. There is a boat ramp at Rockland, and a lot of people fish or launch their boats from the area. I've been to a handful of picnics and large, organized "get-togethers" (as my family calls them) at Rockland. There is plenty of room for the little ones to run around or for a game of football or frisbee. Rockland has a pretty nice view of the lake, and it's right beside the Old Hickory Dam. There's a great stretch of shore near the dam that makes for some of the best fishing in the area, and it's a lovely place to just take a walk or enjoy the scenery. Not my favorite park in the greater Nashville area, but possibly my favorite in Hendersonville.

I made my way onto the Greenway via the Kohl's trailhead, which is an entrance found at the back end of the Kohl's department store parking lot. It's not glamorous, but gets the job done. At this entry point you are directed under, around and onto the Bob Sheehan Memorial Bridge. As you walk this path, you are next to the Stones River, as well as Lebanon Pike. Once you get beyond the immediate area, you finally hit the trails. The trails are a collection of pathways from wide roads between the river and neighborhoods, to slimmer walkways in the woods. There is not one identity for the trails here, and they seem kind of pathed together. But even so, they get the job done for those who enjoy walking, jogging or biking. Additionally, Ravenwood Park can be found just a half mile or so down the trail from the Kohl's trailhead. While I didn't not explore this park, it too has an interesting history. There is a lot of construction happening along large stretches of the trails, mostly that of new neighborhoods. This takes away from the nature aspect of the greenway, but I get it... Overall, the Stones River Greenway Trails get the job done. I prefer other stretches of the greenway such as those near Two Rivers, but when in the area or just needing a change of scenery, this portion of the trail is a decent option.

The playground is awesome. Taylor Swift went to high school in Hendersonville. So she herself paid for the playground equipment for the kids. And I must say the playground equipment itself is super cute! Love the castle. It's awesome to see celebrities give back to their hometown. And they have a take a book leave a book library for the kids. Amazing! 2. Such a great spot for a quick fishing trip. I always see lots of people on the shore fishing and a few in their kayaks as well. On our most recent trip, my father in law caught a small bass. Of course we let it back into the water, but my kids were so excited to see their grandpa hook one. 3. There's also a handful of tennis courts that were being perused. The walking trail is a great way to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and get some exercise! And with the scenery, it's a nice spot for a date or picnic with the family. Just be careful where you step since there are a lot of ducks roaming the area. 4. And the bathrooms are spotless!!!!! I had to throw that in there. This is such a great place for families and to enjoy the fresh air.
