Town centre location, mega sales in January on their Xmas Stock & with Blackpool being quiet in the Winter there are some bargains to be had! The cosmetic sets always seem to have freebies if you spend a certain amount which means you can get a huge amount for your money in Boots!

They have a range of perfumes and gift sets which are ideal for presents as well as the usual shampoos, toothpastes, shower gels and pills and potions. There are three pharmacists in Poulton village which seems quite a lot for such a small place but I suspect this one is more convenient for people who have seen the doctors based at Lockwood Avenue hence its popularity. Basically, if you need a pharmacist this one is as good as any.

Boots sell a really good range of baby clothes and they even do a premiture baby range which i love as not many shops do. I bought a child gate from here last year and it was only £18 i thought that was a bargain. Also if you buy boots nappies they are only £1.81 that is fantastic value for money and in my opinion they are just as good if not better than pampers and huggies

They did have a decent selection of aftershaves, however there was no samples, and it just took a member of staff to spray it on a piece of card, they wouldn't even let me spray it on myself or get me a sample which was a shame, and also for me shows poor customer service skills. The overall nature of the store was pretty common for a Boots, a Boots that hasn't been modernised yet that is which is a shame. Overall, there isn't much else to say about this store other than it is okay, slightly below average in terms of what has been discussed above including the overall feel and nature of the store and customer service, hence they have struggled to even get a two star rating in this store's first ever Yelp review.

This store is in a good location on Chapel Street, in Southport town centre and although this store…read morehas a slightly older feel to it, it has a satisfactory selection of products and is a pretty decent store, while it can't compare to the locations nearby in Liverpool city centre, it isn't a bad alternative for the people of Southport. They only seem to have one set of automatic doors, it would be nice if they had them on both sides (one-way system), as I do find them more welcoming. The staff seem OK, they don't particularly stand-out. The Pharmacy is open at the same hours as the store, I do find it to be quite limiting as they shut at 17:30 but this seems to be common of many shops in smaller towns and cities sadly. The Opticians area is smaller than other nearby stores, it is useful however for an eye-test but perhaps not picking up a new pair of eye-glasses. 3* - OK, obviously there is better not too far away, in many nearby towns and cities, but not a bad alternative if you're in Southport.
