Wide range of items at a very reasonable price considering this is a local pharmacy in a smallish town. Staff are quick to help.

The nearest parking places are in the carpark behind the nearby Tesco store. The shop has a door which is on the corner of the building and which faces the pedestrain crossing and busy path area. It can become a little congested here at busy periods. There is a tiny step up to get inside. The door is rickety and easily pushed open but wheelchair users may need help. Inside there aisles around the walls of the shop including infront of the glass windows. The shop is L-shaped with the back section having specialist baby produce. The store also sells cosmetics in the original make-up stands, hair care products, eye care products, mens cosmetic products, some gifts and small toys and perfume. There is one till which is quite crowded and there are a selection of cough sweets on the counter. The staff are very helpful and well trained. There is a pharmacy collection service at this chemists. There is not usually a wait to collect prescriptions but in this instance a seat is available in the store to rest temporarily.

Worth shopping around though as their prices can often be beaten elsewhere in town for the same items and they also do not have any sort of loyalty card like boots advantage card etc. They do have an in store a chemist for all prescriptions needed and advice on anything you need with medication. The staff all seem mostly friendly, helpful and polite especially in the pharmacy section. Overall a good store but often better deals/offers to be had elsewhere.

On the downside seems to take ages to get your items after handing in your prescription even when your the only one in the store. On top of waiting it has been very rare that I have every got my full prescription at once without having to go back the next day or later for the rest after they have had delivered. If in a hurry for prescription or even a hurry to get somewhere else this is one to avoid
As someone who has a repeat prescription I have to use the pharmacy once a month. It normally takes…read moreabout 20 minutes to obtain my prescription, although years ago I could turn up and get my medication in five minutes. Yesterday I visited the pharmacy and it was empty, so the lady on the desk took my prescription out of the file and passed it over. After 10 minutes the pharmacist took a patient into the small office to discuss his medication and 20 minutes later was still there. I asked one of the pharmacy assistants if it would be OK to return tomorrow to pick up my medication and was hoping for a reply like "Yes Sir that won`t be a problem". Instead she spoke to me as if I was a delinquent schoolkid telling me "You will have to stand in line and wait your turn just like everybody else!" presumably assuming that I would barge everyone in the store out of the way!! As an ex Chemistry teacher who has seen many of my students go on to have a career in pharmacy, including one who does my annual review, I am not insensitive to the demands of the profession, but I do not see why you should be treated as if they are doing you a favour by eventually doing their jobs and serving you. In frustration I have signed up to an online Pharmacy service.
