Found the Love Cafe just a couple miles off the highway, and definitely worth the little "detour". It's small but charming with an open kitchen and literally everything done in front of you. If you are the type that doesn't want to know what a real working kitchen looks like, keep rolling because this isn't your place. Love Cafe offers soups, salads, bowls, smoothies, breakfast, tacos, and wraps. We popped in at about 1:30 and they even offered to serve us breakfast, if we wanted it (typically stop serving after 10:30) which was very sweet. I got one of their bowls which are customizable or you can order one of their staple options. Bowls are served with your choice of protein options, base (quinoa, rice or Cali rice), 6 toppings like black beans, cheeses, veggies and sunflower seeds, and sauce/dressings. I got the chicken bowl with sesame ginger dressing and it was made fresh and a great healthy option for something fast. My travel companion got the Shrimp tacos with mango salsa. The "tacos" were more like a large burrito type tortilla cut in half to make two "tacos". Shrimp was ok but not really seasoned or special. This felt like an open wrap more than a taco. But still a nice option for a quick lunch on the healthy side. All in all we were very happy that we found this cute spot, would be happy to return and try other items. Friendly service and a bright spot to our day!

Tonight, beautiful clean filets, rolled in local breading (also available) and right into the cast iron skillet at home (photo enthusiastically uploaded.) We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday and a crowd was just starting to build. You park and walk around the back of the building (backyard...makes sense) and enter that way. We each got a hot dog, a bottled soda, and we split an order of pretzel nuggets then took a seat outside. The food is brought out to you. It was the beginning of fall and just a perfect day to be outside. It didn't take long before our food arrived. I think we both wished all the food was a touch hotter. My friend would have preferred spicy mustard on her dirty dog as opposed to yellow (in the New York style) and a touch zippier sauerkraut. My speckled pup was LOADED and, while everything tasted really good, the bun didn't stand a chance. A sturdier bun that was slightly toasted would have made this a perfect dog, imo. The pretzel bites were fine. A good enough side order to split. I preferred the mustard and my friend preferred the beer cheese, so we were both happy. The outdoor space is really pretty cool and I bet it's a great spot for live music on nights and weekends. Would recommend.
