They'll also cancel your order if you don't respond to this "authorization email" within 3 hours. That's insane to me. Never in my life have I seen a more antiquated, convoluted process in my life. Since I was renting a 6K video camera from another vendor which had to be returned on Tuesday, I only had one day to shoot with the long EF lens. When I contacted LD and explained they'd charged overnight shipping for an item that took four days to arrive and that I only had one day's use of, they said no adjustment could be made for the $133 one week rental, since UPS had charged them $100 shipping on a 1 pound package, which I strongly doubt. I'll never rent from The Lens Despots again.
