And when I met them, and spoke with them they was very pleasant. If we stopped right there I would have given them a four star rating just on their professional courtesy. However they severally overcharged me for a job that by my estimate would have been between the range of $1,000-2,000 give or take. The materials I needed we're only valued at $100-300 some, the labor now that I couldn't say. However it was a little job, not much needed done. By the end of the day they charged me $4,500!! During a time when money is tight, the economy is utter $h1t right now thanks to bad management. Those of us outside of the 1-10% income bracket do not have the disposable income to just throw it away like that. Then there was the job, I have to state the fellow they sent out was a nice guy, I actually liked the dude until I seen the work he did. One he didn't do everything we agreed on, then when he installed the items we needed he used damaged materials, measured it wrong, then just left it as is. At any rate, I had thought to dispute the cost as it was a gross overcharge, they basically fleeced me. Still to their credit they sent out another employee who did a fantastic job fixing the mistake of the last one. So in closing, I was going to give them a two star rating due to how they did me. But because they was kind enough to send someone out to fix it free of charge, and because of the quality of the work he did, they get three stars. Thank Dale Michaelson for that third star, he was an excellent worker.

SERVPRO of North Kanawha and Teays Valley

SERVPRO in Teays Valley, WV is top rate and I highly recommend the company. After over a year of…read moredealing with a mold/mildew issue I'm happy that I found SERVPRO, specifically Louie Moore. Louie's depth of knowledge in water damage problems is impressive! I've spent a tremendous amount of time researching and talking to home service and remediation professionals about the problem, so my recommendation comes from extensive experience with trying to uncover the source of the problem and considerable awareness of moisture issues and remediation options. On top of being knowledgeable, Louie was highly (and proactively) considerate about expenses. At first he recommended things that I could try myself, to avoid an expensive service. Later, despite devoting considerable time on the phone with me and measuring my crawlspace for the specific service that I had requested, he ultimately recommended that no service was needed and he wouldn't accept payment for time spent on the project. Since SERVPRO only makes money if they provide a service, it was impressive to see their dedication to being fair and honest with customers. Even if he hadn't recommended an expensive project, which is what I requested and expected, he could have easily recommended a small project so they would make money on it. **** Since it took me such a long time to identify the problem, the following content is for keyword search purposes so that anyone trying to identify a mystery moisture issue can find Louie. It started with an unpleasant smell in one corner of my brick house that sits on top of crawlspace facing north. At first the odor had a very earthy smell, sort of like wet dirt but we could not find any moisture other than a little in a trench in the crawlspace under that area. Areas checked for moisture: chimney (inside and out), attic and attic walls, behind paneling and drywall, the garage, roof and all other areas of the home. My carpets and furniture, as well as everything else in the room and near that area, were saturated with the smell. I ripped up my carpets and have lived with exposed subfloor since then. I had a saddle put on my roof to alter the flow of water, built up a slope for runoff water and removed all plants in the area and had the home inspected for structural damage. I run a dehumidifier and a high end air purifier with a carbon filter 24/7. It was clear that there was a moisture related-problem and the mold and mildew odor was making me sick (mold illness, not allergies). At first I thought it was seasonal allergies. After many Dr. visits I ended up sealing off the room and always wearing an air mask when on the first floor of my house. I've since lost 50% of the volume of my hair, I'm frequently sick and have difficulty sleeping, along with other symptoms. Ultimately the issue was due to a cut underground drain pipe that was connected to the downspouts. Although I inspected the end of the drain pipe many times (several yards away), I could see flowing water so I did not suspect that there was an issue with the pipes. After my garage flooded several times we began checking the grate drain trench, which eventually led us a few feet around the corner to the underground pipe that had been severed by a local phone company. Best wishes if you are dealing with a mystery moisture issue!

I believe that things we stolen.
