Bought 7 x $1 tokens (machines don't dispense quarters). The machine ate my first two tokens, then left with the remaining tokens, trying to sell them to patrons and having to warn them about the jammed machine. This place sucks. read more

What a great place! Very clean with updated equipment. Even has a blow dryer. Have not seen one before. Takes credit cards too. Vacuums and a place to park to dry if you don't want to use the blow dryer. Owner dude was there that day, very pleasant gentleman. read more

F*** this place ever since they got their new credit card machines just charge me $10 for 3 minutes to spray the dust off my car

I've been going here for a few years. Suddenly a price increase. Now $15 instead of $10. Will reconsider washing my car there now.

My go-to car wash. I like the control of doing it myself, and have been using mostly this one for ?5 years or so. The equipment usually works just fine, I've never run into a payment problem (I use cash and use their change maker), never had anything else than a shiny clean car as a result. The owner seems to be nearby and keeping a diligent eye on things, which always helps. Beware though that this is a frequently very windy location, and you need to be aware of the wind direction to wash your car more than yourself. I have been using this car wash for over 30 years, I came here as a teeny-ager, I've always used it and I've never abused it, and like to support locals. Today I had the rudest man come up and talk to me as if I was something to wipe off his boot, I've never seen him before he's an old nervous guy I guess that was hired to tidy up, I pulled up next to the vacuum behind my friend who was in the bay, and I was searching for my change cuz I was going to vacuum out my side of the car, and this man walked up to me and told me I couldn't park there, there's an empty Bay over on the side, and I said well I'm with the guy in front of me. He said doesn't matter you can't park here, and there wasn't even anybody waiting to use anything. Told me I was in the way,and I seriously only been there for a couple minutes. after a hard day working down in San Luis. I could have just as easily gone to Sunday clean car Wash, which I can use the vacuum there as long as I need to it doesn't keep asking for more change because it's all included, may you give you towels and everything else if I have another experience like I did today I will never use this car wash again. read more

Morro Bay Car Wash is loved by every car show enthusiast and is my very favorite because the owner always keeps it well maintained. The four stalls have great water pressure and the foam brushes are always in great shape. They're scamming people, and it stops now! Most reviews are negative. Report them. They're getting away with bad business practices. This owner and/or company is horrible! Also, this is a follow up from my previous yelp review. The problem was a very grey looking, water spots over most of my vehicle. I used the soap wash sprayer (not brush), spot free rinse, wax and the air dry hose. My bank account was debited $10 and today when I checked my account they changed the amount deducted to $11.75. In addition, $1.50 for the vacuum. The only reason I gave a two star before was because the vacuum has good suction. Again, extremely disappointed!!! I tried to contact the owners by the phone number listed on my charge and it is a disconnected number. there is no way to contact morro bay car wash. Basicly got screwed by this outfit. I went there to clean out my car, vacuum it as well as wash it. The owner was there, and after about 15 minutes started pacing around me, there are 3 self serve washes there and 3 or 4 vacuums in front of the washes. I was parked by the 3rd wash, i was there (according to the owner) for about an hour. The owner walked over, asked if i planned to wash my car.. I looked at him and said maybe, but will be vacuuming it. That's when he told me i needed to move. That i had been there for about an hour. Wtf? It's a damn car wash, apparently if u take too long it enrages the owner as you are not spending enough money fast enough for him. Im absolutely disgusted with this man, and will not go back, and i will be sharing this with as many locals as possible. read more

The self service part is good and it is easy to get to. I would recommend avoiding the automated section however. I was in a pinch and needed to wash my car quickly and decided to try out their automated wash instead of using the Mobil down the street. Well, it is a pretty ghetto automatic wash, they really should upgrade their system. For $8 I was expecting something comparable to what I have gotten at Quicky, Shell, and Mobil. Boy was I wrong. The wash seems like it barely works. I don't think I saw the side soft cloth arms even spin up once. The soft cloth overhead part just lazily jerks back and forth over your car. Somehow the carwash also scratched my passenger side door, especially confusing since the mirror that sticks our much further had zero damage. The spotless rinse at the end was the only part of the automatic wash that truly worked. If you want to do the work, this place is still great. If you want a quick wash that you don't do anything, avoid this place at all costs! read more

THE best self serve car wash in the county. I drive all over the county for my job and and have used most of the self serve car washes and this one is hands down the best one I've seen yet. All of the equipment was in good working condition (even the foam brush). I believe that even the spray soap was heated. The controls take credit cards. The blow dry tool worked very well. read more

I'm not sure if this place is under new ownership or not, but it's much better than it used to be. They now accept credit cards and also have a dryer. The man working there (maybe the owner) was very kind and gave us a large towel to use. The facility is very clean and well maintained now. We'll definitely be back! read more

I use this car wash regularly, today the selection dial was incorrect. Every selection gave an incorrect result. Selected spray wash, got rinse. Selected foam brush and got spray wash. Selected rinse and fortunately got rinse. Selected spot free rinse and got nothing. I live here in Morro bay and have used this car wash for 25 years. Never once had an issue till today. Often there is an attendant on site but not today. Hope this gets corrected. The problem was in the first bay on the left. read more

Hands down the worst car wash I've ever been to. Somehow, my car is dirtier than when I brought it in. Significant water spots that are really standing out on black paint.
