I've been to this Tesco location at Liverpool 3 times now. Every single visit has been great! You…read morefind treasures around every corner and the sales they have are really good. According to the locals, this is a bigger store than the regular ones. If I get a chance to visit a regular store, I'll confirm, lol. This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!

If you're around Liverpool, Tesco's of all versions are dotted around places: metro, local, express, superstore. If there are any more, you'll have to let me know! The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

    Tesco - It's orange-y & cakey, not "Twix-y" like I thought! Good, though!

Probably the best supermarket in Newtown. Still always packed out on a Saturday morning, whereas…read morethe other supermarket beginning with T is pretty empty. Always a good full selection of fruit & vegetables, salad & stuff. Laid out well, easy to get reach, easy labelling to check prices. Fantastic butchering services, if it's not out on the shelf they will do it for you. Boning a shoulder of lamb for instance, not a problem for them. Tesco don't do this. Good value deli, not a spectacular choice but good enough. Love the salad bar & fresh bread. Usually plenty of cashiers on, who will help you pack if you ask. Watch out for the AA/RAC reps on the way out. Just cover your ears and run past, mumbling "no thank you". My only gripe is the lack of price reduction on items that are approaching the sellby date. For example: Brisket joint £6, reduced by 30p to £5.70. Same joint at the end of the day now reduced by another 70p down to £5. Then it's chucked out. Come on Morrisons, it costs you money to have this stuff taken away. Just reduce those items more and they will shift off the shelf.

So it was travel to home day. We have engagements we must honour and had we not we'd have stayed…read moreanother few weeks. So after a near 4 hour drive we called into a bright airy Morrisons supermarket in Holyhead 10 mins drive from the 'Irish' ferry to Dublin. It calls itself Irish Ferries but is crewed by an almost 100% non - Irish workforce, supplied by a 3rd party agency whose minimum wage lifestyles of a few quid an hour and a cut for the agency of course have helped make Eamon Rothwell and JB Mc Guckian inadequately taxed multi - millionaires. We shopped for fresh baked bread. I got a loaf with cheese baked in for £2 and a litre of fresh milk about a quid for breakfast in the morning but we also had in mind some food for our journey to avoid the overpriced muck that passes for food on the not at all Irish ferry. This slop gets to me every time. I mean why on Earth can't they just make tasty good food, with fresh ingredients. I couldn't imagine either Rothwell or JB allowing this rubbish into their mouths. I noted on board that a shallow bowl of minestrone soup, made from a packet, is €10. A factory made chicken curry and cheap white rice is near €20. If you served this stuff free in a prison you'd have a riot and the prisoners would likely join in. So we spotted a meal deal in Morrisons that gave us two oriental salads one chicken based and one sweet potato/bhaji based which were tasty spiced for factory made, two costa coffees, again much better than Mc Donald's and a snack from a range of chocolate bars thru packets of crisps. We got two complete meals with our coffees and snacks under a tenner or for less than the price of one serving of packet soup aboard.

I rarely see supermarket cages left on the shopfloor too, which is good as they can be a pain to navigate pass. They tend to have cheaper prices and better deals than the competition and I find their own brand products much nicer too. Checkout is fast and friendly. The cafe is also suprisingly good. It has a wide selection of meals on the menu and is staffed by friendly and hard working individuals. I've had better meals here than I've had at some fancy restraunts and pubs! Highly recommended for the weekly/monthly food shopping exeprience.
