My husband and I acquired tickets to see Creighton vs DePaul women's basketball game recently. The…read moregame started at 2pm and we got there just around there. It took us a few minutes to find parking, but ended up with a metered street parking that was a lot cheaper than the $10 lot that was only marginally closer to the arena. When we got to the arena, the game had already started, so there were no long lines and getting in was a breeze. The stadium itself is small (though no shortage of Creighton Bluejays fans), so it wasn't too much of a hassle to find our area and seats. The seats were good, the arena was clean, and the game was enjoyable! During halftime, we stretched out our legs and walked around the stadium. There were a couple food and drinks vendors along with team merch. Both my husband and I were surprised by the $4 pretzel and cheese as it's usually much more expensive at these types of events, so of course we had to indulge a little. I really appreciated the free little packets of sliced jalapeños at the condiment station - I put some in my cheese sauce. The pretzel was very very salty and I had to brush a lot of the salt away, but apart from that I really have no complaints. The canned drinks were a little on the expensive side, as expected. Overall we had a good time and the Bluejays winning was just the cherry on top!

I love the business administration building ( Mike & Josie Harper Center ) with many new features and designs . I also love the V.J. & Angela Skutt student center . The interior architecture is beautiful. Many corners to study or have a meeting . One level is the hot food restaurants ( Asian and Mexican) and Starbucks . People are very friendly , good manner and respectful. The students have room for self discovery and growth. Like the mottos they craved on the sculpture " Ite Inflammate Omnia" ; " Set The World on Fire " . Go ! Blue Jays !

The firehouse subs is a refreshing change from some of the other closer food options around campus. I've been very pleased with the quality of sandwich's that have come from this place. The workers have also been very kind and made sure to take orders and hand over food with a smile. It was just what I needed between busy classes!

Creighton University is big enough that it has just about anything you could want in a school including undergraduate, graduate school, and all the professional schools, but small enough to get all the personal attention that you would need. I really felt that I got a quality education here, and my professors really cared about my education. For those of you who don't know where Creighton is located, it's located in Nebraska. Once you get over the initial freezing your okole off, it really grows on you!! I have really fond memories thinking about my experience here, and I hope my children someday will be able to experience it as well. Go Blue Jays!

The space was large enough to accommodate everyone there and not be too crowded. This was my first time ever at Slowdown but with this experience I am sure to come many more times in the future. I was in a chair, that I moved myself from a table. So I wasn't taking a 4 top by myself. I said would move to the end of the bar, so I don't take up too much space. She said "are you not told "no" much?" Then said "move- it's our policy". So. I paid $30 thus far. To go out tonight. I get it. I'm alone. So I sat alone at the bar. To be berated by a middle manager . So now I'm taking up a whole 4 top by myself. Feet up. Not allowing any other guests a chair. Sorry. No. BC it's their "policy". Then she explained, that i can stand there but i can't sit there. Even if I was drinking, and buying drinks all night. And she was so proud of herself. I remember bartending- for 14 years. At places like the Ranch Bowl, Choo Choos, I never remember telling a customer to move bc they sat down, alone. I think what's more important is how excited she was to be a dick. If I was causing a fight, or completely non compliant (Again - alone and said I would move to the end of the empty bar)- then i wouldn't be posting this. Instead. This grumpy bitch ruined my night. A night that I bought tickets for two weeks ago. I almost never go out to bars. I'm 47, so older, and alone. My friends were so happy for me to do this. Maybe- that "policy" works when it's elbow to elbow. But if it's so dead...maybe people sitting at the end of the bar is a good thing. I mean, I don't know for sure, just 14 years bartending, 3 degrees on business and marketing, own multiple business that have been operating for over 20 years, fluent in 2 languages, with documented credentials, Means I might have a perspective that says- don't be a dick needlessly.
