We stayed in a neighbouring housing unit in this university housing complex. These are great for students while attending university, and they open the empty units up to the public on the summer.
The units are set up for 2 students, with single beds, desks with chairs, shelving for books etc, and a closet for hanging clothes. Very sparse. There were clean sheets and a blanket on the beds, and each had a large towel. However, no rooms have a private bath; the bathrooms are unisex. Toilet cubicles and shower stalls. Rows of sinks.
I understand that the Morrison Hall has double beds, but otherwise very similar. They charge about $200/night.
These are located in the heart of Bloor Village, so convenient access to shopping, transportation, and entertainment.
