We feel the vision and values of Far Hills are in line with what we believe to be a truly well rounded education. We love seeing our children come home happy and excited. We love that our children's academic and emotional needs are individually met. Every teacher we have met has shown an exceptional sense of love for FH. They all take a lot of pride in how they contribute to making FH a great school. There is a feeling of belonging and unity at each of the many events. There is no concern of what grade your child is in, we are all in this together, striving to better our children. There is a joint effort with FHCDS and their families to continually improve upon the school. Staff, students, and families have a genuine love for the school.

An absolute joke. Yes the campus is beautiful but the administration specifically the extremely…read morerude woman who handles admissions, is a mess. We've toured every private school in the area and I've never met a more incompetent person in charge of admissions. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. She will take you around the school and speak in this soft and meek voice about everything they "offer" but once you get her on the phone she's an absolute animal. They profile and judge every student there. I've heard a lot of people are leaving since this woman has come into the school. Seems like a very toxic environment.

After growing it into a 15 million a year company sold it after 15 years. Took 5 years off then opened a retail operation and now after 13 years of struggling would give my left arm to be out. Having fun as Crazy Bernie though.

Academically, most of the teachers are great, but some have literally no idea what they are doing. It's important to note that MBS hires teaching staff who have PHDs in their field, but never learned to be teachers. In fact, my tenth grade chemistry teacher had a PHD in physics, but no chemistry experience past high school and no teaching degree, and he was very open about this. I feel that the dress-code goes beyond what is normal and necessary for a school environment, and stifles self-expression. Teen and pre-teen years are extremely formative in every way, including style, so to force kids to look professional everyday could have poor results. I think it's important to let kids have colorful hair and graphic tees, even if they look ridiculous by some standards. Let kids be kids. In my own opinion, high school should be a time where teenagers are guided along as they discover themselves and who they want to be. At MBS, it seems like we are guided towards a specific path, regardless of ourselves and what we want. If this is the path you're looking for anyway, this school will be your dream. MBS will deliver your stereotypical private school experience. Very shallow, very reputation oriented, very damaging to students that don't fit the bill.

Looking back, the remarkably able faculty and administration provided them with two invaluable benefits. The first is a solid academic foundation that was tailored to their needs and talents. That training prepared them well for the challenges of high school and shaped the learning skills they now use every day. The second benefit has to do with the formation of character. The atmosphere at CDS inculcated in my children a respect for learning and for other people, two intangibles that I believe are as rare today as they are essential for individual development. That, in my view, is no small accomplishment.
