Dr. Chapdelaine has a very disorganized and unprofessional office. From the first visit I was told…read morehe could help me with pain medication. None was ever sent in and for 2 weeks I suffered. I had a Follow up 2 weeks later and for what?? He had prescribed nothing! I had to provide a urine sample at the first visit. My son Who is on Sub-oxen offered me a 1/2 a pill for pain, because I had to wait so long to get help from Dr. Chapdelaine. This was just before my appt. I was not aware Suboxen does not help pain. He seems to be about the only choice for folks in South Jersey to get help with chronic pain. So we are at his mercy. My urine showed the Suboxen. I made an error in judgement. I saw his PA the second visit. And instead of listening to my situation, the Ocycodone was stopped and I was put on Suboxen??!! I did not need suboxen! I have never used Suboxen for drug addiction!, I am in severe pain!! That is what I needed help with! I was treated like a drug addict. Also, every prescription I had received that was narcotic was questioned. My back condition is severe. I already have 2 fusions. I have degenerative disc disease. The epidural he gave me did not work! He knows this and did not care. I have severe scoliosis in my thoracic spine. He basically threw me under the bus because he could. He did not care. I am in shock that he would be so blatant as to prescribe suboxen to me. A slap in the face. So I have been left to suffer again. I failed to mention the fact that he lost my paperwork at my follow up visit. No one in the office bothered to upload copies of my MRI's. I don't think he even looked at them. I am scheduled for a total back fusion in a month. I inly needed help-until then. Why would I compromise my ability to get pain meds knowingly?? There are always special circumstances. People in pain are left to suffer because of the opioid paranoia by our medical industry. Dr. Chapdelaine is very uncaring and not a good human being. No compassion!!! Do not waste your time. Travel-if you have to. Oh and the two stars are for the girls in the office who actually did their jobs.

Review of Mid Atlantic Pain Specialists - Dr. Robert T. Chapdelaine, M.D…read more I wish I had read the reviews before visiting Mid Atlantic Pain Specialists in Pennsville, NJ. Today, I saw Dr. Robert T. Chapdelaine, and I don't have anything positive to say about the experience. After seeing him in person, I can absolutely understand why so many reviews share the same concerns. This doctor does not respect his patients or their medical conditions. He does not value your time. He does not speak to you with empathy. Unfortunately, I found him to be dismissive, unprepared, and ultimately uncaring. I am a disabled adult living with Latent Autoimmune Diabetes (LADA), also known as Type 1.5 or Type 3 Diabetes, as well as Diabetic Gastroparesis. I've been under pain management care for 7 years in both Florida and Maryland. After recently purchasing a home in Pennsville, my doctor referred me to a local pain specialist -- which led me here. I truly wish I had researched more thoroughly before making the appointment. The Visit: Wait Time: My appointment was at 11:00 AM, but I wasn't seen until 12:45 PM. I sat in the waiting room for nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes, watching three patients who arrived after me go in before me. Forms: Despite spending about an hour the night before filling out the online intake forms, I was handed a redundant paper packet asking for the same information when I arrived. The Doctor's Approach: Dr. Chapdelaine walked in and didn't even make eye contact. I had to introduce myself. He asked very basic questions (like my primary care physician's name and when I last had a gastric imaging), clearly without reviewing my chart in advance. It felt like he was just going through the motions. The Breakdown: When he finally asked about my condition, I explained I have Latent Autoimmune Diabetes. He immediately replied, "An autoimmune disease doesn't tell me anything about your condition." I clarified that I have Latent Autoimmune Disease -- also referred to as Type 3 Diabetes -- and began to explain further. He cut me off to say, "Excuse me, I'm speaking," and launched into a general explanation of autoimmune diseases that showed he wasn't understanding or willing to engage with the specifics of mine. When I pointed out he wasn't listening, he became visibly irritated. I tried once more to clarify, and when I said "Excuse me, I'm speaking" in response to my being interrupted, he clearly didn't appreciate being spoken to the same way he was speaking to me -- and he walked out of the appointment. Summary: This doctor did not respect my medical condition. This doctor did not respect my time. This doctor did not treat me with empathy or basic human decency. This doctor was just the worst. Do I think this review will change his behavior? Honestly, no. From what I experienced, it seemed he stopped caring long ago. But I'm writing this in the hope that it helps you avoid the same experience. You deserve a provider who listens, who learns, and who treats patients with dignity and respect. This was not that

Then I was told I had to show up an hour and a half (90 mins) in advance for an x-ray -she said they don't do the actual x-rays on site so I would have to go through AMI imaging first-conveniently located in their parking lot, while I'm assuming it is also a separate charge. They want to be certain the x-ray is complete and so I have to sit and wait 90 minutes so I don't keep the doctor waiting - what?? What about keeping ME waiting? Or I could drive the 20 miles (one way) days before the appointment for the x-ray, then show up again the day of my actual appointment. Why is it that all of the other ortho offices I called told me they take x-rays on-site without waiting to see the doctor? Does Premier know there are other ortho offices and doctors you can see that won't make you wait on hold, jump through hoops, and be totally frustrated just making an appointment? So glad I found another ortho group with an appointment (sooner) with x-rays on the spot and no additional hours wasted of my life! My issue was already resolved by another ortho group (who was excellent), xrays on the spot, and my Premier appointment was still another week away!

Not once did he try to comfort me or ask if I were okay. So I was sceptical to have anymore work done anywhere until I was referred to Dr. Rasner's Office. They are Amazing! All of them. Dr. Rasner was kind, and patient. Very respectful and spoke with me and my husband like he had all the time in the world. My husband and I had to talk over procedures we wanted done because my fear was the pain during and after getting crowns, also the cost since we don't have dental. Michelle was able to give us a quote and a payment schedule that met our needs and budget and Dr. Rasner assured us that he specializes in sedation dentistry and I would feel no pain. We made our appointment and he was right! I was conscious for the entire procedure but heavily sedated, to the point that I wasn't allowed to drive myself home. Some dentists will say, "oh yeah you can drive yourself home afterwards" and you will also feel discomfort and grogginess but not at this office, and the gas s FREE! I knew what was going on the entire time but felt nothing. I mean NOTHING. There were 2 people in the procedure room at all times and sometimes 3. Including the specialist who created the crowns and yes they create the temporaries that day, you leave with a new smile that day. The permanent crowns are made in the USA when other dentists outsource their business. The crowns are ready when your gums heal in 4-6 weeks. If your procedure requires some gum removal (mine did). The pictures here are my teeth before and my teeth after. The after picture are my temporaries. BTW I ate soup that evening, and was given Tylenol with codine from the pharmacy that I didn't need. The next day my husband and I ate brunch at a restaurant The Turning Point and I ate chicken breast, bacon, toast, and hash browns. I was also given a homeopathic gel to speed recovery. The next day I ate spaghetti with meat sauce and mushrooms. I was careful not to crunch anything like apples or anything hard and used the rest of my mouth if I felt uncertain. I will update the pictures with the permanent crowns after Nov 12, 2019. I also want to say the waiting room is inviting, and cozy the staff were amazing. From the receptionist to the technicians, my visits are always relaxing and stress free. I recommend this office to everyone. It doesn't hurt that he teaches dentistry and is up to date on all the new technologies. Not to mention people come from all over the country so he can fix their dental problems.
