The residents are friendly and for the most part kind. The Christmas Get Together and Dinner are a cut above, catered by Rosatis Restaurant. The New manager, an employee of the development company seems very competent, caring, and eager to help. One can overlook the negative comment on the sites website. The staff has been changed and I might say, this is indeed a long needed necessity. The apartments are pricey and rent raised every year a hefty amount. There are extra charges for water, trash pick up and garage which increase often.

Maybe a few glitches but that is normal for anywhere. You deal with it and get over it. It is mostly all positive. The facilities are really nice in the prairie style architecture and the up keep and cleaning of the buildings are very good. The location is amazing on the western edge of downtown Waukesha, therefore within walking distance of the library and all of the downtown amenities of restaurants, galleries, shopping, farmers market in summer, and discount liquor, etc. The views from all apartments overlooks the Fox River and Bethesda Springs Park. It is an amazing calming place to live. This also gives opportunity for lots of trail walking or jogging or bicycling. There are 5 separate buildings which means you only have about 30 other units in your building so they are basically very quiet. It is a mix of seniors or singles or young couples/partners/roommates. But we have had no noise in our unit. Very quiet!! We have been very impressed and happy living here and if it was not of our need to go into a senior facility, we would continue to live here as we really enjoy it. The property is well kept with the summer landscaping crew, as well as the winter snow clearing crew which is right on top of any snow fall. We enjoy the heated lower level parking garage and the recycling dumpster is there too. The trash dumpsters are out back. Dogs are allowed on the 1st floor and cats on any floor. We have had no issues with either. Maintenance is right there if any issue arises in your unit or if you point out some issue on the property. The maintenance technician is very knowledgeable and will accommodate you and fix anything you need. All the staff is VERY pleasant and agreeable and provides at least a Christmas party and summer grill out party each year. There is also Bunko 2 times a month. The community center is available to rent for your private parties. This is one of the best and enjoyable units we have been in since we sold our house. D and D

I'd give no stars if possible…read more Nice looking units, however, caveat emptor. Owner fails to address serious matters in a timely fashion if at all. Our unit leaked the entire year during which we lived in it. Landlord attempted repair and was unsuccessful. He then claimed that they inherited a poorly built structure and failed to accept responsibility and remedy the situation--ever. One morning a drop hit me squarely in the forehead. I kid you not. Nor did they repaint the walls that were water damaged. Water damage typically equals mold problems--a major health issue. Poorly sealed vents, windows, roofs and the like allow stink bugs to enter structures for the winter months. The bugs then, from time-to-time, fall out of the ceiling and then scale the large windows for days. It drove me insane and created anxiety during a time which there was plenty already. Additionally, intoxicated homeless persons regularly breach the property to sleep and or steal items in the parking garage, creating real danger to all tenants, as many homeless persons suffer from mental illnesses. The building has no cameras which are incredibly inexpensive nor other security measures to speak of. In small claims court, the owner's response was: "Every unit has a lock on its door." As to sound proofing, it's a problem and nonexistent. Luckily, we lived in an end unit and only shared a common floor with the individual directly below us. When she engaged in sexual activity, which thankfully for us wasn't often, it sounded like we were in the room. Moreover, it's hard to believe that the building received its certificate of occupancy to begin with. I could put my head up against the wall in the entryway and see through the floor/wall crack into the stairwell. The building has to have code violations. Had I known landlord would take me to small claims court, I would have had an inspection, a mold test, and the foul odor in the lower bathroom investigated further. By the way, the corona virus is aerosolized from sewage and poses yet another red flag for tenants' health. Also, one should note that the Wisconsin House, which is across the street, is raided by the police at least weekly; individuals are hauled out in stretchers regularly, too. One day they called in the proverbial cavalry--mobile operating base, trucks, cars, and all sorts of police/military surplus vehicles and multiple helicopters. It was believed that a tenant there was cooking crystal meth in his room. The news later reported the response was due to a suspicious odor. A group regularly drinks heavily in the parking lot and side yard at the Wisconsin House. I can't believe anyone feels comfortable walking by and potentially being insulted or assaulted. One day I watched a guy get chocked-out in their parking lot in broad daylight. Directly behind the Waukesha Lofts building, across the Fox River, homeless persons erect tents, have fires, and get blasted regularly. We called the police no less than ten times. They did what they could but people would return within hours. This building, Waukesha Lofts, the management company, and the managing member of the LLC are unprofessional and simply do not give two XXXXs. And, unfortunately, Wisconsin laws lean heavily toward the landlord and provide little cover for tenants. To prove untenantability I guess the roof must blow off and someone probably needs to be murdered. Clearly, they follow the Kushner school of property management. Steer clear, seriously. It is that bad.

I just want to warn anyone looking for a good experience from this olace…read more I dont even know where to start. I signed the lease within a week of them submitting the approval. By the time I signed, the rent increased almost $300 a month. They claimed they rent based on value pricing or something like that. I reluctantly signed. The first week we had a horrible rain storm. We found our bedroom leaked in 3 different spots. Our carpet, vanity, and tv were soaked. I reported the issue. They said they would have roofers in the following week to fix the issue. Well, after a year and numerous maintenance requests to fix the leaks, I moved out with leaking celings in 4 different spots throughout the apartment. I have anxiety. My doctor prescribed me an emotional support animal. A dog I had. I submitted the required documents, and after waiting almost 2 months for a response, they denied me. I got a lawyer to fight it. My lawyer told me it would be expensive, and that she suggests that we file with the city. She also told me the reason I had been denied was that the apartment owners didn't see any visible signs of a disability. You can't see all disabilities. I had spoken to numerous other tenants, including my neighbors. Every single one had leaking ceilings. Some worse. This place charges you for the storage unit assigned to your apartment. They charge you $200 if you dont unbag your recyclables. They charge, charge, charge. I have had slumloards that treated their tenants better than this management company. Anyone looking to rent a place here, please research Sterling Investments. You will read horror story after horror story, 1 star review after 1 star review. These are supposed to be luxury apartments. Well. They are anything but. I strongly warn anyone looking to get stuck in this place. You WILL be disappointed.

We were able to get a lot for our money (SO spacious!) and the apartment was well maintained and really beautiful. We had more than enough space with a lot of storage and organization. Not only were there large rooms with big closets - they were designed with lots of little extras that we really appreciated - convenient shelving and organization everywhere. Great kitchen with a lot of counterspace and again ample cabinet space and storage. Good location, close to the highway and to downtown Waukesha, which also makes it easy to get to Brookfield or Milwaukee for work or a night out. Heated indoor parking made a world of difference - no scorching hot car in the summer and not clearing snow meant that winter was a delight. Having a washer and drying in the apartment also made things easy and convenient! I love to run and I could take the sidewalk right from our building to a nearby running trail, which was really great. A great fitness club (Westwood) is also just down the road and there is even a workout facility in each building at this apartment complex with several new treadmills (with mini-flat screen tvs!), ellipticals, bicycles and all-in-one weight machines - great amenities for active residents! And no excuses! ;) The leasing agency painted one wall for us before we moved in, which made our place really feel like home. The management was always polite and helpful and immediately responded to any maintenance requests. Our apartment was bright and cheerful and very quiet with a nice outdoor area just steps from our balcony.

Willow Creek had been home to my husband and me for the last 9+ years and the only reason we moved…read morewas because we finally were ready to buy our own house. In 2008 we had moved into a one bedroom apartment and after a few years, moved to a two bedroom after we got married and wanted more room. Overall, this has been a great place to live! Yes, we did have a few negative experiences living there and I'll start with those: 1. We have had a few bad neighbors, but that is a common thing that can happen with apartment living and not the fault of the management. 2. The first year there were a lot of issues with snow plowing but they must have changed companies because the plowing got better the following year. My only issues with snow after that were the people that did not move their cars for the plowing. When you go to your car and you still have to walk in snow because the car next to you didn't move, that can be frustrating. 3. We did have an issue once with mold because of a leaky air conditioner in the above apartment. They did take care of it however they missed a few things and had to come back after I complained and sent them pictures of what they missed. This was however, previous staff that no longer works there. Our good experiences by far, outweigh the few negative ones. The current office staff is great. Ashley and Greg work in the office and they are both professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Josh the maintenance manager is awesome as well. They all take care of things immediately if you have issues. I have not had to call twice for the same thing with them. Willow Creek apartments are well priced. There are some newer apartments close by off of Barker Road and they are a couple hundred dollars more for smaller apartments. W.C. is close to the freeway, restaurants, shopping, and activities like parks, movies and roller skating. They have a small dog play area on site, as well as a pool, tennis courts and a grilling area. We lived in the newest building, which is a pet friendly building. Yes, you can hear dogs barking. But I would much rather hear a dog parking periodically then loud music blasting from someone's apartment. Other than periodic music from some neighbors who didn't realize it was rude to play music that loud, we never heard anything else through the walls. Yes, we would hear doors close or people talking sometimes just outside in the hallway while sitting in the living room. But our next door neighbors had a baby and their child's room was on the other side of our living room and we never heard the baby cry. The only time we ever heard him crying was when we were in the hallway - like opening the door when we came home and the moment we walked into our apartment we couldn't hear him anymore. The grounds are kept up well. Since Ashley took over as manager, she has been taking care of many things to make the grounds more presentable and safe. If there is a light out, Josh will take care of it right away. One time a hot water heater was leaking in the hallway - I called to let them know and they were replacing it that very evening. The current staff is clearly very efficient and reliable. I would 100% recommend this complex to anyone looking for an apartment.

Bridge has been gone over a year and the stream has been dried up for at least three years. Furthermore, there is debris and garbage in the stream. So many trees were torn down. There isn't any security measures in place. For instance, there aren't any security cameras or secure entries to the buildings. Construction is poor. Noise is terrible between the floors and walls. Management is forgetful. Any work is too much work for some maintenance team members. Coats can't be put in the cost closet because if a sleave bumps into the door, they fall off the hinges. They put very cheap contact paper on very old shelving in the kitchen and are claiming that I did. Also, there was water damage in the apartment at least three times because they couldn't figure out that the drainage hose for the air conditioner needed to drain into something. Bad experience.
